Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

The ones I go to are in malls but in all honestly are pretty much stand alone stores now. The malls that they are in have pretty much died off.
 
So would like a Sears repair have them or no? I honestly have not seen a real Sears in years, it was so long ago I remember them having N64 games.

Saw Folklore for $20 at my local Sears in Concord, CA
 
My Sears did an overhaul of electronics. a bunch of flat screens are 50% off bc they are used. I wouldn't buy a floor model flat panel as being on all day eats a lot of screen life. They had a couple shopping carts full of games and a ton of them were oddly not back in the case when I came back a few days later. The only game on the clearance table is CoD2GOTY for 11.97 and MotoGP 07 which dropped to 14.97 which is still a little too much as I haven't played the $7 MotoGP 06 I got a while back. There were a lot of empty holes in the shelves in the glass cases. Like 70% empty.

ya corperate is telling us employees to move things and put new carpet down.

but its not gonna stop sears from going outa business. btw the tvs arent 50%. i highly doubt that. it probably just had a clearance tag with msrp with 30% off at most. thats how it is at least in the sears i work in.

there is only one good priced tv there. 40 inch samsung 1080p with 15,000:1 contrast ratio for $1999.97. its div 57, sku 71077

its not that the prices are inflated but its basically sale price on the tv. 50% off is sorta ridicoulous. but one of the retarded managers could have done it.

they are the ones who make the tags. i know the 30 inch hd tube tvs are $140 and orignally $400. as for i always talk people outa a floor model. i personally know what i do to them so i wouldnt suggest to get one.

seriouly many of the assosiates just punch the tvs because they are there. its always fun to see the trail of ur finger on an lcd. anyway why buy a tv thats been on 12 hours a day for how ever months it was out. no remote as well for the most part. you would have to lower the price alot for me to want to buy one

They had one last time I was there so I'll take a look and grab it if it is still there today.
 
Picked up 2 copes of the Halo 3 LE at the Carpentersville, IL store. (They had 4 left.) Item was marked at $24 but rang up at $14. I picked two of the games that seemed to "rattle" the least fearing that the discs had come loose and were scratched to hell.

I got home and opened them up (1 for me 1 for my bro) and both game discs were scratched. I tested both and they both seemed fine, I was just hoping that they were in better condition. Now I'm debating paying another $20 to have my disc replaced.
 
I scored 1 copy Halo 3 SE version for $15 . Lucky me i got DDRU 2 Bundle (360) $12 cos the UPC is smashed up and the employees pickup price tag for XBOX version instead 360 version. gas is killing the aspect of the thread.
driving around for a stupid clerance game is useless when gas prices are hitting close to $4 a gallon

Exactly what I've been thinking. I will only go now if I'm at least 75% sure that I will get something that is worth the gas/time.

It is not fair to charge people gas money on buying a game from you when you planned to run around and get this stuff anyways no one forced you to.
 
i really agree with the whole gas issue ($4.20 here). i used to be able to drive to 4 or 5 sears. now, i dont even drive to one since the deals are so-so.

if anyone gets to go to any sears, please hit up the hd-dvd drive and see how much those are. along with the pink, blue and halo 3 controllers.

Then go buy your games on ebay. There's no reason why someone shouldn't be able to recoup their costs from buying games for other people.

Kmart in the next town had all red stickers 14.99 games scanning at $3 for all three systems, but the same bar code and sticker in the same town had it scanning at 14.99. I will say that if the prices drop while I'm still here I'll have quite a good haul going back home.
 
i found like 4 Xbox 360 Media Controllers (universal remotes) For $15 but decided to pass on them (i can pick one up and trade it for a halo 3 LE if anybody is interested)
 
I say if you're at a store already and pick up an extra game you should charge what you paid for it.

When I first started here I got a few games for cost + shipping or an even trade.
I got a game and $2 because the game was $3 and the one I traded was $5.

I wish my Sears had any cheap 360 controllers. If anyone has one on here it would probably cost near ebay prices.
 
I usually only stop for clearances like this when I am in the area of a particular store, and when I go to one of these areas I stop at multiple stores to make my trip worthwhile. I don't go out to get one specific game at one specific store.

I found a Sears that had 7 copies of the Halo 3 CE for $14.97. The only problem, all of them were floaters. I decided to pick the one that sounded the least floaty and sure enough, the game disc was off the spindle and scratched around the center. Anyway, I have two questions:

1) Does Microsoft have any sort of disc replacement program where they can replace your Halo 3 CE game disc if you send in the scratched one?

2) Is the Halo 3 game disc in the CE the exact same one as in the regular edition Halo 3? If that's the case, I may just wait until the regular Halo 3 gets cleared out in the next few years and get my replacement disc that way.

Not that I know of. A CAG had posted and said that it works, but all the CE either did or did not have 1 scratched disc out of the 2. What I did (took mine to Gamestop when It first came out) is exchanged it, but at GS they just opened another and switched out the bad for the good. Maybe you can do that with Sears but get another art book out of the replacement one or something.

1) Yes, but the free replacement program is over, they charge $20 to do it now.

Thanks for the info guys. Since all remaining copies were guaranteed floaters, I don't think I'll go back and ask for an exchange. I actually haven't even tried the game yet, but since it was scratched up pretty bad I guess I assumed the worst. Who knows, maybe it'll actually play fine :pray:

Don't know if any of you care much for this game but I thought it was a great deal ;)
 
I recently scanned a DDR Ultramix 4 bundle at another Sears and it was $43.97. Such a big price difference between stores: $4.97 and $43.97.

This other Sears also had Capcom vs. SNK Cardfighter's Clash for $23.97 instead of $2.97. Perfect Dark Zero was $19.99 instead of $2.97.

Yeah, this was one of them crappy Sears.
 
Sears was kicking out some great clearance deals and then nothing. The Sears in Platte Woods has 360 memory cards for $7 but that is as good as it gets.
 
Just stopped by a new sears and found among the terribly organized clearance section game boxes with shrink wrap removed. I looked inside one box the game was missing. About 20 other boxes were missing shrink wrap but I did not look inside, among them a black label KH 2. Someone has been ripping this store off big-time.
 
this thread is useless till the clearance changes. i havent been at work for a week but its safe to say that its still the same.

sears is going under this thing called spring clean. they are basically putting new carpeting down and claiming that it will bring more customers in. i think its a total failure because new carpeting doesnt justifty that there customer service is horrible now... and btw most sears have dupped there clearance by now..

you will find minor things like ds plastic screen protectors for a $1 or something like that. but its more or less gone. so this thread is dead till they get a new batch
 
Yeah it's been forever since I've found any deals worth a crap at Sears. They've had the same junk in the $20 or less bin for over a year now. Most of it is GH type stuff that IS regularly priced at $20. I've been waiting for copies of stuff like Kingdom Hearts II (non-GH) to drop so I can pick them up on the cheap.
