Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Sears down in Platte Woods MO became relevant again. They dropped the price on Meet The Robinsons to $5 on the Wii and had several sports games for the 360 and ps3 for $5 as well.
 
I went to Sears today and scored some copies of Halo 3 CE for $4.XX!!! 1 of the 3 I bought was a floater. They had a few more left but it's pointless to pick up the extras for CAGs because could be floaters or become floaters. I'll be posting a scan after War Hawk.

The Microsoft Points cards are still ringing up $24.99 at my Sears :bomb:

I did spot a Metroid GC bundle for $99.99. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if it drops.

You work at Sears, right? A couple stores near me seemed to ship away a ton of their lower priced and clearance games. For instance, last weekend an employee was packing a bunch of 360 games in a box to put in the back room. In the past they never would do this. They would just let them keep dropping in price until they were a buck or two then sell them off. Is this a new practice for Sears? Also, where are they shipping the games to, back to headquarters?
 
My girlfriend is a loss prevention "coach" (manager) at a Sears. There are a lot of rumors swirling around that they could be up for sale, which might be why they are doing clean sweeps and pulling clearance stuff off the floor.
 
I noticed they are making their games like front lane games at the 19.99 price point. I got lucky today and picked up Dark Kingdom for 4.97!

I think shipping games that ain't selling back to a warehouse, other stores or who knews where is something that happens sometimes at stores especially if they are considered stores that don't get a lot of foot traffic. I remember a few years ago seeing about 20 copys of Crazy Taxi for the PS2 at TRU and they didn't seem to be selling any then shortly after Christmas they all were gone. I was waiting for TMNT on the GBA to go clearance at Circuit City but a few weeks ago it was gone and they had about 5-6 last time before this. I don't think they all sold as this same store had 16 non greatest hits copies of God of War II when that $10 sale started the other week :D

In your example in particular it may be because Sears is going in the pooper but I think that stores sometimes get rid of or move stock instead of having it sit around forever or mark it down at a loss.

I've been clearance hunting in Kmart and Target, but never in Sears. Do they have a particular location devoted to clearance shelves or would they be mixed in with the regular selection?

Yup it was in the clearance bin marked 14.97 (May sticker), but scanned at 4.97. PS3
 
my sears just marked down xbox live bundle packs $47.97, i know its not as cheap as kmart, when it was clearenced, but still a decent deal

i never heard coach before.. every one is a manager in sears. as for lp is just in the back stock room watching everything but people who steal. they love to call up if you are a cashier(which i was when i first started) and tell you to clean. at the same time they are tell you to clean there is a low life stealing a sd card.

i asked the grand central manager that just started if the rumors of sears being sold out were true and she said no.

but she said theres a good possiblity that they will start to sell off their main brands. die hard goes first starting around october according to her.. if all goes through well

its something that the sears i work in is doing too. i guess its something corperate told them to do.

back in feb they started to rlly go through the clearances video games and other clearance stuff.. mostly overpriced cables for hdtvs. its called vod.. very old merchindise.

they sent the vod to rtv.. return to vender. it winds up going back to the orginal company

same here. dropped some previously clearanced xbox 360,ps3, and ps2 titles down to 4.97. picked up MLB2K7 for xbox360 and MLB 07 the Show for ps3 each for 4.97 (MLB 07 was stickered at 24.97 but the price scanner said 4.97)

These all had old April clearance prices on them for $20+ so I self scanned for the hell of it and boom $4.97 :D

There were still a few cheap sports games left at the store I went to. (Antioch Mall in KC) I also saw a couple of the 360 memory cards for $5.
 
Went to Sears on a hunch with some new drops being reported and got exactly what I was hoping for:

Went by my local Sears and it was a wreck. Have totally started to rearrange the games section. Only thing I found was an XBox Live Kit (12 mos, 200 pts, camera, headphone, etc) for $53 and change. It was marked at $79.99. Don't have a 360, so not sure if it is a good deal. If anyone wants it, I can pick up and send out. Otherwise, I will keep an eye on it.

My store had all the games in a bin marked "$19.99 or less" but I've been to other stores where they still have the games in the glass case marked full price but they ring up at the clearance price.

Some have found it for 4.97, I already have it for 360 so I passed. Forgot the 360 memory card was 4.97, but they'll probably last another drop or two at both Sears and KMart.

Also, at the locations around here it varies, but mostly all the locations have a clearance bin/table, a "cheap games" (19.99 and under) bin/table and then most games in glass cases, however, the clearance games can usually be found in all three places and occassionally marked correctly, but usually unmarked or tagged with old tags like all the stuff I saw today so it really pays to have a great thread like this to clue you in ahead of time.

i sorta dont believe you because i have not been to one sears which has had the consoles laying out to take. even if its old its high risk security stuff that should be locked up.

anyway its very moronic to walk away from it for $10 if it even happens to drop. most likely if ur telling the truth it will be gone next time you go

There were two there, locked up in a case like most of the PS2/360/PS3/Wii stuff. Sorry I didn't describe that. I already have a GCN and the exact MP combo pack that comes in the bundle. There is no reason to pay $30 for the only thing in there useful to me - a controller. $20 and it's a good value. $30 and they'd both be gone if I didn't have a GC already and if I had a friend who didn't have a GC/Wii yet either.

I was surprised too, but that was the price. (Actually, the price was $29.99.) I've been here since December 4 2006 and you can trust me. Although with the shitty way Sears clearances are, good luck getting it at that price. It was marked $99.99.
 
Virtua Tennis 3 was still 11.97 here - I still grabbed it though because there are two employees there who are always willing to help me with this stuff and they get a commission out of it. That and its still a 500 point game on goozex (which was already matched to boot)

See - I knew I should have written down more info. But on a whim, today, I stopped in Sears because I happened to be going a Gamestop in the same Mall for some $10 bonus trade-in goodness. I almost didn't stop by the games even though I was passing through Sears on my way to the car. I have been so disappointed in them recently that I almost didn't want to waste the 5 minutes it would take to check. But I had glanced at this thread and a few titles stuck in my mind. I didn't check for the ones above (wish I had now!) but I did pick up Genji and Moto GP 07 both for $4.97 (and both marked $14.97). At that price, Genji can join my small pile of PS3 games (that before consisted of just Lair) in preparation for my eventual purchase of a PS3.
