Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

i went to a sears in winston salem nc today. the manager was cool as hell. they had a big grey buggy of games and he told me i could look threw them before they sent them back. i scored burnout revenge for 1.97 and vt 3 for 5 dollars. coolest part was he scanned over 45 games for me, with no problem
 
Damn it, why can't my Sears have these magical deals? Only one Sears in the area has a video games section, and their "clearance" stuff is always $20. I've never seen any of the prices in this thread at that Sears. :(
 
Picked up the 2 Halo 3 Limited Edition's they had left at one of the Sears near me for $4.97, they had the $4.97 64mb Xbox 360 memory cards in stock and marked at that price as well. The Halo's weren't marked for a price and were with the cheaper usually $20 game section. That was only one sears, the others in my area don't seem to be the same as far as selection goes. Kinda sucks, was expecting to luck out something similar between the stores. Oh well.
 
I went to the Lafayette Square Mall in Indy and they had none of the current drops. First trip to Sears in over a year, I think. I must have done too good of a job bragging about my Indy finds back when I ran the Sears thread here on CAG, because this location used to be my best source of clearance finds. No one, and I mean no one, shops at this Sears. I saw one other person there today, which is pretty typical of a Friday afternoon at this place. They also never mark their clearance games, so you have to know what you're looking for (i.e. have a list from CAG). Even the crappy 07 PS3 sports games were gone. This is the Sears where I found 2 copies of DDR Mario sitting in the case back when the game was going for $150 on Ebay and a stack of Pikmin 2 for $1.97 each. It's depressing to come back from there empty-handed, which has never happened to me before.

I did see a Wii in the case that has probably been sitting there for months, so if anyone in Indy is looking for one, there you go.

I also noticed on the clearance table they had some electronics on clearance that may interest CAGers. An Ipod 8" folding screen/speaker combo for $75, some Ipod boom box docks in various colors (JBL, I think) for $20, an Ipod speaker lamp (didn't see a price), and lots of other Ipod accessories.

The MP GC bundles were $29.97 each a couple weeks ago.
 
Does anyone how much Eternal Sonata goes for at Sears? I'm guessing it's still full price since it was locked up in the case. I would have asked at the store, but there was no one in electronics to open the case.

Next time, act like you want to buy it and if it scans for more than you thought it would be, tell them you changed your mind and don't want it.

Employees refusing to price check (especially when they insist that it is the stickered price when you are almost 100% sure it is lower than that) is something that annoys me almost more than anything else when looking for deals.

Hmmm, I went to my sears in Lewisville, TX and picked up the last 2 copies of Burnout (360) for $2.97. The clerk almost fell to the floor when he scanned them. I scanned a bunch of games and they all ranged up $10 or higher... They had a couple of PGR 3 which I didnt scan and a ton of Jumper games. I am sure these were cheap too...

Still a good day for me! :applause:
 
I got .hack//vol.3 redemption for $14.99 at the sears near Queens Center Mall. btw how do you get this list? and what do you do if they don't ring up the games at the list prices?

This has probably been mentioned, but I don't feel like reading 100+ pages....

but the coupon the OP posted won't work. Sears does not accept coupons on video games or systems. It is, hilariously, in the fine print of the coupon. For that matter they don't do no interest promos which is silly on systems, but whatev.

I also had them scan Blue Dragon, Enchanted Arms and Lost Oddysey. All came up $29.99 or more. Oh yeah, Prey came up $29.99 too.

They do price match. Show them the clearance price CC has for it and it should go without a hitch.

I freaked the guys out in electronics one time when I PMed CC. I had them PM Monster Madness for the 360 when CC had it for like $10. Sears was still selling it for $49.99 so they had to drop it $40 and give me an additional 10% of the difference. Ended up paying like $6 for the game. The guy in electronics asked if he could keep the ad once I was done to see if he could find himself any deals like that.

I've also had them PM a digital camera before.

Where do you get the clearance price? Show them a printout of this forum? Do they take that?
 
Price checked Metroid Prime Hunters, I thought it was on clearance but was full price. Same with Elebits on Wii. Picked up Madden 07 on PS3 for $2.97.

I had almost the exact same experience. I thought monster madness went for $5 though.

It might've been. I just remember that they had to do like a 90% discount in order to match it.

Don't forget they PM off websites, too. Had them pull up Zack and Wiki from the TRU website (on their own computer) for $10, then they knocked another 10% off that.

If I remember right before they'd PM my game they had to make sure CC had it available on their website.

If it's in a small community chances are they do not sell games. Only the Sears in large enough metropolitan areas carry games.
 
I remember for a good deal of time my Sears did not stock games, basically a little after the N64 came out, and they had them again sometime when the 360 came out.
