Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I'm fairly certain that the $2.97 Gun is for Xbox. I saw a couple copies tonight in the clearance bin, but didn't scan them.

If you guys missed out on the game when it came out, you need to pick it up for this price.

I, too, will be watching for those Sennheiser headphones.

UPDATE: These headphones suck. Not too comfortable and had an audible hiss, even when tuned properly.

of course, my point of comparison is the HD-555s, so take that fwiw.

Damn straight. GUN was a lot of fun. Has a pretty good voice acting cast, as well.
 
Went earlier today at the Pines Mall Sears and left pretty disappointed. Didn't see Warhawk or PS3 Bioshock. They had a whole lot of PS2 games, Zack & Wiki Wii for $20, Obscure Wii for $15, Haze PS3 for $20, and Rock Revolution PS3 for $13. My cousin snagged Heavenly Sword PS3 for $25.

I bought one sealed copy of Kingdom Hearts II for PS2 at Sears few hours ago for $20, still not good price but I get it anyway. Can return it with receipt if I want to. I've it already so I bought one for my collection.
 
Damn, you guys are lucky on your Sears finds. I thought I would be able to get FEAR for at least $19.97, nope still $29.99. Going to try holding on to it for 29 days then returning/rebuying if cheaper.

I'm in the exact same boat, my Sears has 4 copies of FEAR but all at 30 dollars.

Yeah, that's what the back of the receipt says. I was pretty surprised the first time I read that. Ninety days seems the standard for most stores. Even Kmart does 90 days.

No. I'm looking at a receipt right now. It says:

"DVDs, cds, video games, and computer software can be returned withing 30 days of purchase, if they are unopened."

nope. coming from a sears electronics employee. its 14 days and they cant be opened. and game consoles you cannot return if opened at all, but 14 days if not opened.

that means if u get a 360 with a rrod you techically cannot return it to the store because its open. this is techically what is suppose to be the policy, but the register lets you return the games so if u get a stupid employee or one that doesnt care you will be able to break the return policy
 
another thing i was told if you return around 10 to 15 items in a years time you will be locked out from doing any returns.... What is just plain stupid cause if the store refuses to let you return the item you could just dispute the charge on the credit card...

so just a heads up before grabbing a lot of higher price games for others ..

I've noticed that many department stores have a 1X day for video games, but the receipt says 30+ day return policy. Yes you can stir a ruckas for the return, however is it worth a possible backlash for a $10 item? I know this trick dosn't work at walmart because there is a huge sign that says the dates.

I thought the receipt said the same thing, 30 days if unopened, 14 if opened and only can only be exchanged for same item. Guess I will return it in 13 days just to be sure. Honestly the only reason I bought it was the girl couldn't get the glass case open and had to call someone else over.

I forgot to mention. If anyone is looking for a copy of manhunt 2 PS2 or Parappa PSP, i saw a couple of copies of the game @ the El Cajon store in San Diego. Good luck, trying to find a person to ring you up. I swear it took me 15 mins to ring up my games.
 
Are the games locked up in a case? If they aren't and no one is around or the electronics sales person is busy selling a big ticket item that will take a while I just take them to another register in another department

How the hell do they track you for doing too many returns? It's just plain stupid and alienating customers to ask for their ID whenever they do their returns with valid receipts.
 
Geez, my local Sears never has anything. I think the employees are hoarders because whenever there is a drop, those things are gone. There's been a Singstar Amped sitting there forever and now it's gone. Either that, or Inf_Shini is hoarding it all >.>

The second one can be somewhat confusing, but it is 30 days for unopened games and 14 days for opened games & unopened computer software.

its actually saying that you can switch them out if they are defective, otherwise you can return any opened games for a full refund within 14 days.
 
I think that it is supposed to be "FOR exchange if defective" not "OR exchange if defective".

Unopened games, etc can be returned within 30 days. Opened games, etc, may be exchanged for the same item within 14 days if and only if they are defective.

TIV = Trade in Value. Don't worry about not knowing. When I first started, it took me forever to learn the abbreviations that are commonly used by CAGS. I'll call in a little while and see what buzz gets at Gamestop.

Yes. I know that Sears is typically YMMV for clearance prices. But did we get confirmation that these prices are mostly correct?

It's been wierd with .99 clearance prices.

FYE used to have the best trade in values around - shit like ESPN NBA 2K4 would get $18, and crap like Room Zoom (when it was $10 at EBGames brand new) would earn $26 in credit. I flipped so many games there back then... that shit was so great!

Yeah, I sold one for ~$70 on amazon before last X-mas that I got from KMart for $12(?).

But I have to wonder if people are really willing to pay that so close to the DSi Launch.

I don't know about sealed ones but I've sold three open ones for $57.99 a piece over the last few weeks.
