Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I know some of you have heard this tale before, but the best TIV I ever found was when the one game for PS2(Powerdrome Racing) was $2.99 at Gamestop, it was getting $15 or so in TIV @ FYE.

I traded in 12 copies of it to various FYE stores, including a glut of 3-4 per FYE around here over a month's time and I made enough to afford a slim PStwo AND I had credit left over for a game or two even.

Even better was that they had a $30 rebate at the time for the system, which took forever for the company running the rebate program to send me and by that time the district manager for FYE around here had told their employees to give me the $30 for the rebate at store level.

A week later, I got the check from the rebate company and promptly cashed it. :D So, I got a free PStwo and enough for a couple of games in the end, so for that reason alone I LOVE FYE and I don't want them to go out of business.

It was so much fun buying Motor Trend Lotus Challenge for $2.99 new at EB and walking right to FYE in the same mall and getting $27 trade in credit or buying 2 copies of Malice for $4.99 new and taking each one to 2 different FYE's in the same mall and getting $27 credit for those as well.

Then FYE actually tried to get $44.99 used for those games and Room Zoom (I bought a few when they were $4.99 new at EBGames.com).

man i remember those Room zoom games.. that is how i got my 400+ FYE credit years ago...

Sadly with no FYES around anymore im stuck with like 120 left on a gift card... I tried to buy games online but they always cancel my order saying they do not sell that game after it came out

ys. Blue dragon plus and my world my way in the last month were all cancel by fye

i scanned a project slypeed the other day and it was 29.99 at sears. damn. does anybody else get confused going to so many stores and remebering whats on clearence. i got a good memory and bring in my sheet, but i always look at the games first. and get excited i found a good one only to realize is on clearence at kmart not sears
 
That happens all the time, I see a game and am all excited thinking I am about to get a great deal only to realize a minute later it was on clearance somewhere else.

I wish KMart and Sears had the same pricing since they are the same company. It's annoying to see the game game that is under $5 at Sears be full price at KMart or vice versa.
 
Picross DS scanned $0.97 for me today, but the copy I saw last week was gone. Someone got a damn good game for a steal of a price!

Also saw World Championship Poker Round 2 or whatever for PSP tagged $0.97

When I hit all my local stores on Friday/Saturday, all but 1 or 2 didn't have a lone copy of :ps3: Buzz!


When did you look though? Most stores probably got 2 copies max to begin with.

I guess no one shops at my local Sears but me. They have 1 copy of Buzz Quiz TV for PS3, 1 copy of Lair for $6.97 (maybe lower), and 1 copy of Warhawk (with headset) for $9.97. I would have jumped on these deals myself, but I already have all 3 personally.... This Sears is in LaVale, Maryland.

I had one of those super paranoid FYE stores, so I could never take advantage. I'd actually go in, look through the games to make sure they didn't have the one I wanted to trade, and the clerk (always the same guy) would always look at me like I just murdered a family to find this game, then tell me they already had too many copies of it. It was so strange, especially since I'm a slender, clean cut guy, and I'd purposely be polite and smile since this dude always looked like a deer caught in headlights. :lol:
 
Some FYEs in my area were like that, some wouldn't take a game if they had 3 used copies in already, others if they had 1 (like Malice, I guess they realized it would never sell at the used price).

Those Singstar bundles are all over the place in pricing. Volume 1 is $9.97 at my local store, $4.97 at another store 15 minutes away (both OOS), another store 2 hours away was $59.99.

FYE definitely changed their ways of doing business.. seems a little laid back these days. i remember 2 years ago when they had that trade 4 get 1 new game free deal.. such a sweet deal but it was too bad alot of the fye's didn't even know their own promotions #-o

Seems that only the 80gb models are clearanced ($99, I think). I scanned the 120gb classics, and they're regular price at $249.

Buzz did not have a price on it, the sales guy scanned it for me.

can you still use the ipod classic as a hard drive storage? i use my 5.5g 80gb as a storage device/ipod. one of the best features of that ipod i think.

I walked into my store to buy Buzz! TV and I saw somone walk out with all 4 of them as well as 2 buzz hollywood.... needless to say I was pissed:bomb:
 
Today, I manage to get a price adjustment to $4.97 on Singstar Rocks that I paid $ 24.97 at a different Sears couple days ago. I also picked up another Rocks bundle there and Singstar 80's Game only.

Timeshift for PS3 is $ 19.97.
 
Stopped at the two sears that are along my way home yesterday and it seemed they were just about or just had their store inventory (tags everywhere). A number of games that are out of system were tagged with big white and red 'RTV' labels. The only games I remember being tagged like this were Eragon for 360 and Hulk for PS3. It's possible they may actually be sending these things back, but for now they were still in the case at the corner. There was a sheet laying there as well with new clearance price labels, but nothing new from that.

As for prices, the only new prices that I don't remember being posted are for:

360 Nascar 08 - 9.97 (damnit)

If only Bioshock were just a wee bit cheaper already, I'd definitely pick it up for $20 or less, but $25 is a bit much for a FPS for me. The motion control parts in Heavenly Sword were a pain in the ass and I wish they were actually optional and you could control the direction without using the SixAxis. I also can't believe it took so friggin' long for the Simpsons game to drop. The movie was out like, what, 2-3 years ago?

Otherwise, those are some nearly tolerable prices for games, though by the time they drop to cheap enough for me to want to pick them up at my local Sears, they'll have all disappeared.

You actually can make the Sixaxis optional in HS. It makes it much easier to play. It's under options.

I bought it from Gamestop back before I had tons of cheap, cheap credit for about $20-30 when they had a sale on used copies for a weekend and $20-30 was too much for an action-y, God Of War clone without a fuckin' jump button. So I took it back within the 7 day return period and that was that.

How the hell do you make an action game where the main character has to plod away through hordes of enemies and you can't jump above them to start an insane combo?
