Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Thanks for this info. I went this morning, and the lady had the hand scanner, scanning bar codes and printing little pink MAY stickers. No new drops on the stuff I checked:

She was just starting, and I didn't want to wait to see everything, so I just had her scan the few that I cared the most about. When I saw they were pretty much the same, I didn't check any more. But there might be some drops, and today does seem to be the day for the drops to happen.
 
Just got back from my Sears. Total bust. The two price scanners which have been there for about 2 months were both out of order, the clearance games still have the MAR stickers on them, and no copies of pure.

Actually a lot of those games from huge liquidators are return games that were opened, claimed "defective", or just games that were sent back because they could not resell it as new. It is actually a pretty standard practice. At Best Buy the way they got rid of their games was to sell it by the pound. And they only got $0.25, thats right, I said 25 cents to get sent back as defective to the warehouse to get junked out. So what would you rather do. Send it out by the pound for 25 cents, or send it to your warehouse and then resell it.

But generally retail stores dont sell their clearance stock to liquidators, and in fact in most cases, as long as the company is still around, or they have an online warehouse, its more effect through that.
 
I checked my closest Sears yesterday and no sign of the Linksys WRT54g router for $35 unfortunately. They also had jack and shit in the way of clearance games.

they had the same at my local Sears but I passed....:lol:

anyhoo the holyoke, ma store at the mall blows, it always has blown and it always will blow.

Well, it's the end of the month for April clearance games so i doubt there will be anything left. Keep an eye out for the May clearance games. It should be happening very soon.
 
Checked the local Sears today. Absolutely nothing was lowered in price. I'm just hoping that the May drops still have to happen (and that May was not only a few select titles being dropped). Can any Sears employees confirm what was posted earlier about May 1st being the date for the new markdowns?

I think I am just going to pop into Sears tomorrow and see if anything on clearance pops up.

i forgot to mention that i picked up Scene It! LCA bundle for $4.97 and MK Kollection for the same price. Singstar 80s Bundle rang out of system, i didnt bother explaining and wasting my time so i left it.

Whats weird is that Buzz Hollywood bundle was $19.97 instead of everyone reporting it at $1.97. maybe they mistakenly added a digit
 
Went to the Houston's Downtown Sear's .. nothing dropped .. but didnt have a good selection of clearance games to begin with and it was behind glass cabinets .. arrgg .. really wanted Burnout Paradise for the 360 to drop.

That happened to me too. Hollywood rang up 1.97 at two different Sears. But the third one it rang up 19.97. The reason was their computer didnt recognize it as in stock and it rang up as what the suggested price is. The employee has to add it to their stock simply by using the hand held tool and then rings out 1.97. :)

As crazy as it sounds, they sometimes print out price stickers with the current month before the monthly drops occur. That happened at my local Sears in March, stuff had March stickers but the price didn't drop, a few days later the prices did drop to lower than the sticker prices.
 
Scanned 5 games today. Civilization, Socom Tactical Strike, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, and another title (can't remember). None dropped in price. Who was the fool who reported the drops would happen today and wasted all of our time?
 
Probably drops next Friday...

But i am curious, do you guys still have stuff to buy at your sears? I wiped out all the good stuff from mine nearly a month ago, and the ok stuff, has been taken. Now its all garbage...

Actually, now that you mention it, that wouldn't surprise me a ton. Although she was specifically tasked with scanning clearance games, it seemed. Pointing to the bin, she said she was going to be going through all of the games.

I find that most Sears - check that, most of ANY stores, be they Best Buy, Toys R Us, Target, K-Mart, Sears, or any other - fall into one of three categories. They either

(1) Have a broad assortment of clearance games (including a good number of the "good ones")

(2) They have only the Still-overpriced clearance games but none of the "great deals"

(3) They have absolutely nothing, as your Sears did.

With stores that have absolutely nothing (and there are a number of them on my mental list), I find that they NEVER have anything. Even the games that I have made a mental note on disappear the second they hit the clearance list. Whether it's employee hoarders, FW Hoarders, or the stores sending the games back to some corporate office/warehouse for whatever reason I still don't know. All I know is they're always dry as a bone.
 
were not really sure when. but it has been happening 1st week of every month for the past 6 months. it will be nice to have the drops, but the sears employees have gone awol and we havent had any confirmation on when for 2 or 3 months now.

I went to Sears and the clearance was wiped out. I asked if they sent back the games and the employee said..."Some guy came in here a few days ago and bought over 40 games. I did manage to find buzz bundle on PS2 for 2.97.
 
Went to my local Sears which normally has nothing. This time it had Folklore (for $15), but I'm not into that kinda game. They had 2 copies. It's the Burbank mall location. One of stickers is ripped off.

Thanks for the tip on this, grabbed one. There were 3 behind the glass, no one would have known. Beats the current deal at GS.
 
The cheap stuff may have all dropped down a buck or two, I found that PSP Pirates of the Caribbean game for 97c, as well as...Gripshift, also for 97c! I know for a fact this game wasn't on the shelves previously because I'd looked over every single PSP title to make sure I hadn't missed anything last time I was checking for cheap titles. Of course they decide to put it out for sale now that its value has pretty much bottomed out, this thing was probably sitting in the back room when they were going for $70 on ebay!

BTW if anyone has a Tassimo coffee maker, it looks like Sears is dumping all their inventory, I got several packs of discs for $5.97 each (50% off).
 
I know what you mean about Gripshift, I bought one for $1.97 in Feburary and haven't been able to sell it. If only I had gotten it a month or two earlier.

There are 2 PotC games, one is At World's End and the other is Curse of the Black Pearl. Both are on Clearance, which one did you get?
 
Welcome ferant. I completely missed your post there. But we'd love to have someone post new drops or the next new drops. We never really had a consistent way of finding out as some of the sears informant we have have one AWOL :)

Like others have already said, they DESTROY TV's? Geez. I knew companies were wasteful and all, but damn that's bad.

Hell, I'd take a $1200 tv for $60 if I knew what the schedule is for drops and when it'd hit the 95% off.

But they don't usually last till they get uber cheap around by me anyway, so I doubt I'd ever find an HDtv for less than the price of a current SDtv.

Mind you, I know some will say that $200-300 is a great price for some of these tv's, but since it's usually only a display model left by the time they drop to that I'd rather not pay alot for something that may crap out in a year or two.

Hey everybody!! Went to 3 Sears today and the new drops were in at 2 of the 3. I couldn't believe that the 3rd one didn't have the price drops in Here is what I got and remember.

That's all I can remember at this point. I was really surprised that one of the Sears had the same prices as last month and the other 2 had the May Prices. I even double checked the same games that I bought at the first one on the scanners.

Also the stickers were only changed at one of the Sears, that's where I saw Web of Shadows which was the only game that was a new clearance game, so there might be more new games but they could be in the case still.
 
Well, I thought I found a deal today. I was in Sears of Wilmington, North Carolina browsing the clearence section and found a copy of Eternal Sonata for the Xbox 360 pink stickered for $4.97. I wasn't interested in it but my wife wanted it, and for less then $5 I wasn't complaining. When the guy tried to ring it up the computer just gave hime one of those annoying "I don't think so" beeps. And he tells me that it's not in the system and he can't ring it up. So I ask him to get a manager so they can do a manual override. To this he just says there's nothing they could do either (Gee, you could at least try). So I didn't get jack. Anybody ever have something similar happen at the checkout?

Anybody ever have something similar happen at the checkout?[/quote]yeah, they are instructed to not sell them. its hard to get them to price it manually. the way me and other people had done in the past is that you make sure that you have other items that are similarly priced. they know its $4.97 since all the rest of your items are. so they do it themselves. even that though, could still be YMMV.

there are also times when i pretended i didnt know and i was sort of talking to him about how cheap their stuff is and what not. just make small conversations, pretend to be nice to the guy and sometimes they'll give it to you.
 
Most of the time when an item is out of the system, they refuse to sell it to me. Sometimes they manually enter the sticker price, other times they make up a price. Last year I bought Pokemon for Gamecube and the worker just entered $4.99, it was stickered $19.97.
