Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

i would agree except for if u get caught is it really worth it? i personally have just bought clearance items in sears due to the ridicolous prices and that basically alone that drove the sale.

im not bad like the other employees though, this one kid figured out if he hides stuff it goes lower over the time period. he recently got reported for it because he fought with another employee when they went to buy it and he got reported. thats what he deserves if hes gonna be a baby about it.

Employees that hide stuff should win the bonehead award for keeping their employer from making a sale. Each sale counts especially under current economic conditions. Way to bite the hand that feeds you, idiots!
 
Went to the Sears in Oceanside, Ca yesterday and that place is wiped out! The only thing I saw on clearance was a Deal or No Deal game for DS for 14.97. Even some of the older platinum hits for 360 were ringing up for 19.99. It seems like there are very few stores with good clearance in SoCal.

That's my local store and I don't even bother most of the time. I think the employees or the guys from the Gamestop in the mall take everything.

Im sure these questions have been asked in this thread at some point, so please pardon me for this:

Does Sears have a section set aside for clearance games? Also, do they tag them with the marked down prices, or is that pretty much YMMV?
One last question, do they have a certain day of the week that they mark down games?

I went to my local Sears late last week, and they had quite a number of GH bundles out, but they were ringing up at like $49.99. :cry:
 
My sears sucks! They have tons of games but none of them are at the great clearance prices you guys are getting. I wanted to nab Spiderman: web of shadows but it was still ringing up $29.99.

From what I've seen every Sears is different. I have 4 That are pretty close to me, and 1 never has anything on clearance, 1 always marks there clearance game and they are in a separate section. and the other 2 have their games stacked behind the glass case mostly unmarked(from what I've seen). But all 4 do have games in a different section, but almost all of them are not on clearance.

Your best bet is just to have them scan the games. Because for the most part, the price on the sticker isnt the price it'll ring up at..

I went there once because I found a copy of Persona 3 (before FES and when the game was going for $60+ on Ebay) and was stoked because it was so hard to find. The store had maybe half a dozen copies. The guy ringing me up asked me about it and I told him what I knew and that it was pretty tough to find in a store. Later, a friend asked me to pick up a copy for him and when I went back a couple hours later the copies were all gone.

I'm pretty sure the guy checked online for what they were going for and just bought up the rest to make $20-30 in profit for each one.

Which version did you price check? Only the PS3 version is on clearance for $9.97. The other versions will be at normal price.

i picked up a aerosmith double guitar hero bundle for ps2 for $14.97. it was actually marked wrong, it was supposed to be $19.97 but the guy gave it to me. they also had ben10 for $1.97 so i grabbed that also.

i was curious about this too for spiderman WOS.... first post has the priced listed as $10 for 360... is that not the case?

I found a store with it in stock through the online stock checker but it was $30 when scanned.... although this store also had Mass Effect on CLEARANCE for $40 scanned! so this place was obviously behind the times...
 
After never finding anything at a Sear's clearance, I finally hit the jackpot on Sunday. The three I got were:

Motorstorm - $4.97
Lost Odyssey - $4.97
Wii - Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 - $4.97

I didn't see that Naruto in the op, so it may need to be added. It rang up that way and wasn't a manual override.

Same here. Found Shadowrun for $9.97 when the drop happened and then 4 days later I return to find it dropped to $1.97. I'm gonna check out Crackdown again, see if it dropped too.

Yes, in my experience only the PS3 version of Spider-Man: WOS is on clearance.
 
Tried a more distant Sears today, in East Northport, NY. No awesome finds but some good stuff.

:360: Ninja Gaiden II - $10
:360: Bullet Witch - $5
:360: Turok - $5
:360: History Channel Civil War - $2
:psp: Parappa - $3
:ds: Sonic Rush Adventure - $5

They had plenty of copies of DBZ and Simpsons. Some of the stuff was stickered at the right price, some wasn't. Transformers PS3 rang up for $30. Some PS2 games like Naruto Chronicles and Manhunt 2 rang up at $20. I've got one more store to try in my quest for the elusive

good pickups. i cant believe Bullet Witch is still $5 though, its been like that for at least a year or something.
 
Some fucker must have hoarded the 2-3 copies of Iron Man PS3 :bomb: They were there the week before and when I went yesterday they're all gone.

Nothing good was spared there. Only some MLB and junks were left.

I just picked up Shadowrun for 360 for $1.97. Everything else in the bin was mostly marked correctly, but Eye of Judgement PS3 was marked as $55 but rang up as $30.

I called 2 sears over here and asked about this whole clearance thing and both people said they never even heard of such a thing.

Also asked about the GH bundles and was told 'no'.

It depends if it was marked with the right price. Yeah, it is completely inconceivable that 3 different people would buy 3 copies of Iron Man if it was marked full price or unmarked. If however they were marked $4.97 then, no, 3 different people could've picked those up rather easily.

Some games, Iron Man being one of them, sit forever waiting to be bought at my Sears. Even now at $4.97 (though marked $14.97), they're still sitting there. When something sits forever and isn't bought, but then sold out within a day, hoarding usually comes to mind.

By the way, I also receive comments from employees about the whole store being bought out of clearance games by one or two people, so that's why I'm pretty confident in assigning the carnage to hoarders ;)
 
WHOA - Another Buffalo area CAG!

I checked out Eastern Hills Mall today in Clarence... Rockband 2 for PS3 was the only thing that looked good (Whole band set for $69)

It was great though because I asked the girl to come open the case so I could scan some of them to see the price. She asked why and I said my brother lives in NC and went to Sears there and bought some of the games and they were clearanced. She said well I doubt they will be or they would be sitting out with the others marked. I said Oh well we will see, lets give it a shot. She scanned them and when it showed $9.97 I felt great. She just said, so you want this everytime she scanned one. HAHAHA. They also had Folklore but I didn't like the demo so passed on it.

I went into Sears and saw 2 Xbox 360 hard drives at the bottom of the glass case but couldn't see if they were 60 GB or 120 GB so went up to the employees hanging around the register and asked if they had the 120 GB hard drives for the 360 or just the 60 GB ones. The employee told me that they never had any hard drives for the 360. Well I saw 2 of them in the bottom of the glass case but the shelf above was blocking my view of the size they were. They were the 120 GB hard drives and I got one for my husband and one for me for $69.97 each. Had I called they would have told me they never had hard drives for the 360 and I would have missed out.

Moral of the story: Don't call - go in and find the stuff yourself! Then scan them yourself or have them scan them to make sure they will ring up at the price you saw here.

What "whole clearance thing" did you ask about? Did you ask about specific items or just any merchandise on clearance? You know if the employees didn't know about it before you called, now they do and they are buying up all the good deals!

Looked for the Guitar Hero Bundles but there were none out so the employee looked in back to see if there were any there. He thought he saw some but they were the World Tour bundles. Wanted Fear but it rang up at $19.99 apparently not on clearance at that Sears.

I guess any other CAG's in your area(no location listed)can have you to thank for giving the employees a heads up on what might and might not be on clearance.

NEVER CALL!!! If you're too lazy to take the time to go to the store, then you deserve to NEVER find ANY clearance games/deals.
 
In Silverdale, Washington I picked up the last copy of Justice League Heroes on PS2 for $1.96. There were also a couple copies of the Simpsons game on PS3 for $5 and Viking for 360 priced at $15.

They had a Gamecube version of Open Season for $2 when I went in today. Grabbed it as it was the only one and I love my Gamecube xD But had to go sorting through lots of full price stuff to see if as the only decent thing.

BTW, does anyone know if the Mic from my Rock Band 2 for PS3 will work for Singstar for the PS2? Saw a few in Sears, but I don't have a Mic for my PS2, so not sure if it will work or not.
