Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Naw... I'd bet that for a month before FES was announced they were on someone's shelf waiting to be eBay'ed. Miraculously, every store in my area was sold out of P3 for a month or two before FES was announced to a few weeks after it was announced.
 
Well i went to my Sears and they just had games 29.99 and under. None of the games were that cheap and there were no accessories like hard drives.
 
I can confirm the July 4th date, as in, the stuff that is clearanced now will be zero'ed out. Not sure if anything new will go on clearance.
 
I've got a question. I've seen a couple of Singstar 80's bundles at my local Sears and was wondering if it's a game worth picking up. Normally, if I could have purchased it for less then $20 I probably would have gone for it, but I printed out a barcode and used a self-scanner which told me the product was out of the system. I'm worried that if I buy it, I'll be charged full price for it, which I think is something like $50. At that price, I'd only buy it if it was worth it, so is it? All input is appreciated.

All clearance games? Are you talking about the games that are at 1.97, or even the stuff thats still 9.97 / 14.97 etc?

I remember seeing these copies during the whole Persona 3 madness time period and they still went lacking buyers. Persona 3 has never been rare in my area though, in fact GS stores here still have new copies of the original version.

If you like singing, the singstar games are fun.
As for it being out of the system... just try, maybe with another $5-10 game. They may try to sell it for full price, the price of the other game, might be able to look up the last price, or might not sell it at all.

Maybe there are few eBayers (or eBayers that sell video games) in your area.
Once it was well known that P3 sold for a lot on eBay, every copy in my area vanished. After FES was announced and the prices tanked, 80% of them reappeared.

Why even bother with a story? Just have them scan and price check it, it's their JOB! I make them get stuff from the cases and price check them all the time. Locking up most games, having no price scanners, and ALWAYS mispricing titles means they can do the work for me.

Just letting everyone know that the Sears in Watchung (Rt. 22) and South Plainfield have nothing worth getting. S. Plainfield had $10 Strangleholds.

Singstar 80's is well worth the price. They have a lot of funny songs on the compilation. I think it's the best US singstar game beside the Singstar PS3 game. The mics and the game can also be used for the PS3 too. Not a bad deal.
 
Do you guys think the GH bundles will drop anymore? I want to pick up a set so I can play GH 1 & 2 on my PS2, but I can't really justify spending more on a PS2 set then what I paid for my PS3 set, lol. Or does anyone know how I can get my RB2 or GH guitars for my PS3 work for my PS2?

No, plenty of $1.97 and $4.97 titles will still be in the system. There is alot dropping out of system but most is staying.

Yeah, titles I know that of that are dropping out are all of the GBA games, most of the 1.97/.97 PS2 games, Table Tennis Wii, Civil War 360, and a few others.

What part of NY or NJ did you have to go to to get ALL of those? :lol: Seriously man, every time I talked to ya, you were in a different area of the tri-state area. More power to ya if you can actually get rid of everything you buy, but I can only imagine what gas is costing in NY state since it's $2.65 or so around here now.

At Lake Success Sears, I got PS2 Guitar Hero: Aerosmith bundle with 2 guitars for 19.97. There was one more PS2 Aerosmith bundle with one 1 guitar for 14.97 and a PS3 Aerosmith bundle, not sure of the price on that though.

Finally scored my :360: Simpsons for $4.97 in Clearwater, FL...keep holding the :360: Crackdown for $9.97, but can't bring myself to buy it. Remove the sticker price ($1 or $60), is it a fun game, or was it really only a mechanism to get the Halo 3 beta out there?

i played the beta exactly one time, so i obviously wasn't the target demographic there. i think Crackdown is a lot of fun; even long after beating it a couple times thru, i still pop it in and jump around the city, blowing stuff up and seeing what new things i can find. great game.

i had a friend who used crackdown for precisely that reason; it was, for him, purely a mechanism for obtaining the halo 3 beta. he gave me the game, saying he had no intention of ever playing it (good friend, right?), and i gave it a shot and ending up liking it enough that i actually got the dlc for it, too. coming from someone who didn't even pay for it, i'd still say it's worth buying for $10 or less, if not more.

I hit up the local Sears looking for titles. I found a copy of Monster Hunter 2 for PSP and got a price check, but it still rang up at $39.99.

Touche. Though that was guides and as we've all seen by now most guides are worth jack and shit and take up more space than they're worth.

As for cleaning out a store of games, I thought I had pretty much free reign in my area, but one by one the local CAG's have popped up and now I know I HAVE to be the first one there if I wanna get the deals.
 
Well just got back from a sorta local sears... thought I'd hit the jackpot for some real old things... they had multiple copies of Call of Duty 2 and 3... PGR 3... Prey... + others.... all ringing at 19.99 or 29.99 :roll:

What I did find tho was :360: NBA Street Homecourt which was out of the system and they guy checking prices asked someone else who must have been the manager who then quoted .97 for it... So that's what I ended up with.

I also saw the vision bundle for 31.97 so I guess that should be the new price since on the original page it's listed as being dead.
