Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

OH OH! Let me get in on over analyzing the post!!! An In-law is someone related to the spouse. It is possible that this person is married to a person with a sister that is 5. This person's sister-in-law's child would be his or her niece or nephew.
 
Those are usually the best kind, especially if you can get someone to open the cases and let you peer into them, since they usually have tons of crap piled on top of other piles of crap and there's usually old stuff that is either just about to go out of system or went out long ago.
 
Nah, you got the wrong idea. I should of elaborated. I mean the kind of locked up where every game is in it's individual plastic hard case on shelves that they can't be taken off of without an electronic key. That kind of locked up.
 
Well then that explains it alot better. Thanks for clarifying. The one Sears by me decided to lock up a majority of the PS3/360/Wii games into a fiberboard and glass case that they crammed into one of the $19.99 metal clearance bins. They also have 3-5 other metal bins with all sorts of clearance games and other clearance stuff in them, as well as an endcap with lotsa clearance stuff. But unfortunately most everything is clearly and properly marked.

I hate Sears like this. It seems like the worst system, both for the customer and the store. A pain in the ass for the customer and those plastic shells are huge and take up just a ton of "shelf space" for Sears. That being said, 2 of my better Sears hauls were in stores like that so it is worth checking out what they have.
 
Nice save dude, not really sure why the other guy had so much trouble with the term. I didn't invent it, I swear. Yes, my wife is 22.....and no, her five year old sister was not planned. Souvenir from Barbados as I understand it.

Anyways, I bought 2 more copies of MLB '08 The Show (1 for PSP and 1 for PS3) for a total of $6.24 at another Sears and went to another TRU from there for a profit of $7.76 in ten minutes. Wish it could have been more, but it was picked clean as far as that Sears went.

The worst is when they can't figure out how to open those plastic cases. At TRU once they ended up breaking the case to get the game out. Another time at Sears I didn't realize they never took the games out of the cases when they put them in my bag and when I got to the exit, the bag set off the security sensor so I looked in the bag, saw the plastic case and went back to electronics and the clerk first told me it comes with the game!

I am thinking about doing this, but a step farther. I remember one store had 6 or so copies still behind the glass, and I left a few at anther, while it will be a bit of a drive, if they are all $3, I can trade them all into Best Buy's site, and get something nice.

My closest one is becoming a bit hard to find cheap stuff in though, because the guy is really getting on top of making all the stuff. Every time I come in now, he asks me where I got it, makes a note of it. I think they most likely have an inventory system that keeps track of where everything is supposed to be, but normally employees are to lazy to update. But that part is baseless speculation.

Excellent game- I got it full price, and picked up a copy at SEARS when it was around $20 for some extra buzzers.

I agree with nbballard, this game is great. My brother and I always played a lot of games together and we would get pretty competitive, but Buzz! always resulted in great competition and tons of laughter. It is a great game and a blast to play, for $5 it is a steal, I actually have two copies right now (both were bought at $60, one from my parents for Christmas last year and one from my friend recently) and I love the game.
 
I bow down to you all. My Sears dosent even Sell games. Clothes, Washer/Dryers, TVs, Tires- thats about it. Its a very large Sears but they just don't sell games- hell, they don't even have DVDs and they sell TVs?

I gotta check and see if I have any of my receipts from the games I bought from Sears, as maybe I can get a price adjustment, even though I no longer have the games.:D That'd be hilarious, but knowing my Sears they'll want me to have the actual games for them to scan.

Just buy the games from another store, do the pricematch and then return the games back to the other store.
 
That'd be a phenomenal idea, except for two issues:

1)I don't have the cash to rebuy the same games
2)ALL of my closest Sears stores are completely cleaned out of ANYTHING at this point

Between myself, the hoarders I know who randomly hit the Sears by me and possibly a few employees nabbing stuff, there is NOTHING to speak of on clearance left around here.
 
In case anyone is wondering the store in Quakerbridge Mall in NJ is pretty much picked clean (at least for Xbox stuff). The only things you'll find are some of those Nyko intercoolers.
 
found the eye of judgment bundle for $9.97...... it wasn't in the case before... just showed up out of now where....i asked if they keep games in the back.... they told me no... lol...... maybe a return?!

I enjoyed the Buzz games on PS2 quite a bit. I actually don't even have a PS3 yet, but I figured I would stock up for the eventual purchase. Thanks to CAG, I got Heavenly Sword, Bioshock, Folklore, and Buzz for $5 each and Valkyria Chronicles for $20. Not too bad for $40.

And clearance clothes are always a good thing. I picked up quite a few at another Sears location.
 
Just curious, can you buy something at Kmart and return it to Sears? What if it's on clearance at Sears, will they take it? I'm not familiar with their return policy.

When did you pick up Bioshock? It was ringing up full price at my store not too long ago.

I hear ya - I have a full blown Sears and a Sears Grand and while they do have full blown games sections, not once have I gotten anything to ring up at clearance prices. The local Kmart is the same way (although I did find American Idol and GH3 on actual clearance there once).
Yet for some bizarre reason I can't resist going back...

Not too long ago (PS3 version). I've noticed with a few other Sears items that the pricing isn't exactly the same from store to store. And to clarify in case anyone gets the wrong idea, Valkyria Chronicles was a Walmart purchase.

Both of my local stores had PS3 bioshock clearanced but still have (4) 360 versions for 29.99. Guess what I'm waiting for.

I know what you mean...I got GH aerosmith for $7 a while back at kmart. Now I go back all the time but nothing else is ever clearance for less than $19.99. It's like a sick addiction! Although, I did get a 2-pack of micro SD cards for my phone (2gb ea.) for $10 a couple weeks ago. They run a tight ship at those stores in my county....unlike SEARS!

It was the PS3 version that was full priced but it was at least a week ago. I think I will go check again. And sorry Toss, hang in there.

My friend picked up 2 copies of Rock Band SE (360) for $14.97 each. The clerk was speechless...and sad they were the last 2 :)
 
Hey all - *second post on CAG - nothing spectacular, but I picked up Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for the PSP for $2.97 this afternoon. Had gone with the hopes of finding a 1GB MS Pro Duo but no luck there.

I picked that game up the other day, and I have to say, for $3 it is pretty fun. It takes a little getting used to the controls, but still, pretty fun.

I was able to find all the deals at my store one time and since then, I pretty much miss them all the time. What's bad is getting to see them the one time, I always get my hopes up now :D
 
I think I might go back on my dinner break with a pen and paper, jot down the UPC's and then process them at UPCDatabase.com so I can just scan them myself, rather than pester the employees. The clearance bin is a mix of regular priced and clearance items, only 1 or 2 titles actually marked with clearance stickers - Tiger Woods 07 was priced @ $19.99.

Went to the sears here around my way here in brooklyn, ny, hoping that this sears will have something, but they didnt have any thing. I did find though 3 packs of the 8MB double pack{1 red and one blue} for the PS2 for $3.00 each, came to a total of 9 Dollars and some change, so I was some what "happy" lol.

Yes, I picked 2 packs of the PS2 mem cards up early last week for $4.97. Was quite happy with that
 
Henrietta, NY location still has one 1GB SanDisk MS Pro Duo for $4.97 (in the case, not marked) as of roughly 1 hour ago. I bought the other to get me by until my MicroSDHC adapter arrives.
