I currently have ONE PS2(Toy Story 3 bundle from when Target clearanced it for $50-ish) and that's still in the box, though I did take it out to verify that the serial# from the system matched the box and that the game was still sealed/new.
I've run into far too many returned consoles where someone crammed their older version console in the box and somehow got it past the return desk folks.
I only have maybe a handful of PS2 games left at this point, all of which were largely bought AFTER I sold my PS2/Xbox game collection in 2008 to afford a 40gb PS3.
I only have the GTA Double Pack(GTA III/Vice City), Just Cause($3 from Kmart clearance) and maybe another 1-3 titles.
As for titles I'd recommend, see above. I used to play tons of hours in the sandbox titles and very rarely played RPG's or anything else. But as for RPG's, I'd recommend the Dark Alliance games, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and so on.

But if they updated the prices/stickers, then you'd likely find NOTHING. That's how it usually goes around here. If they re-sticker everything with the right prices, then all of the clearance stuff disappears quickly.

That's why next time I'm in my closest store I should thank that guy who kept telling me that the systems never go clearance for being lazy and watching tv instead of doing his job.

My family is bugging me to try out the Hollywood Casino down there for a change from the one up here, so I might be down that way soon.

Pictures aren't really necessary in this thread, but if you must....

Just got back from Sears. No netbooks, no Ratchet and Clank, and nothing really worth mentioning.

if you mean westland , mi i was there earlier anmd many rung up for 5.97 while they were tickets higher. btw they suonfd like they are marking some of those down even more to get rid of them. overheard the maranger. but the ones i grabbed had one copy left so i didnt want to risk it. also overheard the person in electronics and a manger talking about this also talking about the 360 in the back for 100. and sounding like they will mark it down too. but the manager told the electronics person the item has to be 24 hours on teh floor before he could buy it but he said he knows people who wanted it. i didnt need the 360 but if i did i would have called him out on it. i already have backup i got for a great price before. btw check the bin not near the elctronics area but near the escalator for the games i found for 5.97

I finally went to a sears today and they had piles and piles of clearance games and none of them had the clearance prices on them. There were 4 employees back at the electronics sitting down and not helping anyone. The people seemed annoyed when I asked to price check some of the games to be sure that they were at the clearance price. Someone who wanted to buy a tv got mad and about left when she said she was going to buy a tv and couldn't get anyone to help her. Of course, all of the employees flocked over to her when she said that because they want commission. But anyway, I ended up picking up the following. There was plenty that I left that I may go back for but there was some stuff that they were oos on.

Went back to Sears for the second time this month, man, mine is slooooow.
Was still able to get a couple things I missed the first time, like Singularity for $10, and a GH5 guitar bundle for $15. Funny how the GH4 (world tour) guitar bundle was double the cost.
I did miss out on the RCA EZ2000 video cameras for $15, though. Employee told me "Somebody figured out they were on clearance, and bought all 5 of them earlier today."
Should have picked one up when I was in there last week, but them's the breaks. If I wanted it that bad I would have bought it then.

Thanks to a Craigslist posting, it looks like Halo Wars LE ($16.xx) and Wario Ware ($9.xx) are part of the clearance as well. I really wish I could get into the backroom of my local Sears. They are showing tons of goodies in stock, but only a portion of the stuff is coming out. Wonder if it was stolen, lost, or simply in a different area than the employees know about.

Went go my local sears and found the 4 gb sandisk hiding behind the 2 gb . Bought some of those asked for the xbox cause google showed limited stock and still does but guy said nothing was back there. Also asked snout some 12 month cards the ones that are in that hard plastic that u have to scan the bar code but those cxmd up normal price . Guy said they were clearance but guess not. Any idea how to make sure there wasn't any xboxs in stock?

I've hit 3 stores mostly seeing the same that everyone is finding, but one store however did have Prey at 5.97 and Soul Calibur IV at 13.97. Both 360.

I had the clerk do an inventory check and it shows 4 RaC Crack in Time games in stock yet they are no where to be found. I've pretty much tore this store apart already trying to find them.
I've been looking for a decent netbook for traveling but I didn't want to spend $250+ for one.
Just picked up an Asus 1005HAB Netbook (Pearl White) for $86.XX. Pretty much got it for $20 after flipping the Slyvania Netbook I picked up last week.
I gotta say Google Shopping is pretty amazing!

So went to 2 Sears that were a bit further away. One was listed as having a Xbox 360 Arcade for $50 so thought I'd try and see if it was there and the other one just happened to be on the way. Unfortunately the one with the "$50 Xbox360" didn't have anything. Video game section was REALLY bare (of regular priced games; didn't see ANY clearance games or the Xbox 360 Arcade).
However, the other one (that I was really only going to because it was on the way) actually turned out to be pretty good. According to Google search, they didn't have a lot of the stuff I was looking for. However, when I got there, they had a boatload of DS games (along with a few Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 games) on clearance. However, a lot of stuff was also marked down MORE than reported here. Picked up:

Yeah the Google search/inventory is turning out to be very YMMV. I found maybe 60% of the clearance titles that were supposedly in stock, and there doesn't seem to be any super secret "back room" where the good stuff is hoarded, either.

New to the forums here. Glad I found the Sears clearance. Target clearance sucks now. Picked up Singularity from one Sears, found Marvel UA at another, both PS3. Most of the stuff they have is 360 around me. Going to hunt down DMC4, and X-Men Origins. Looked for Prototype, but the Sears around me with "Limited Stock" ran out.
Anyway, Singularity is great for 10 bucks (a little boring at spots, though), and I can't wait to beat Ultimate Alliance for the hundredth time.

So I decided to go back to my Sears to pick up that netbook and band hero for ps3. Well lucky me but I just missed those items as well as 3 more Band Hero kits and about 20 games.
The employee there was telling me some guy comes in once a month to check for electronic drops and buys up everything he can to resell on Amazon Marketplace.
First time I have ever dealt with someone like this at the stores I go to. Oh well, my store has an Asus netbook marked down to $130, hopefully it gets 1 more mark down next month then I am all over it.

Wow great games at great prices. I wonder what the genius who came up with super secret sale was thinking. I don't really know what the hell a super secret sale is. That's as bad as the hidden menu at a few restaurant chains. Never really understood the point of that either.

That "secret sale" happened to me once. Went in one day during lunch and they had a bin of games by the register, guy told me any game was $3 which they manually adjusted so I stocked up on whatever games we didn't have. This happened like a year ago. I keep crossing my fingers it will happen again.

was in a sears i never go to(not connected to a mall) and they had tons of stuff in bins with color coded stickers stuff was about half what it should have been.
picked up tons of stuff:

tons of other stuff including LBP GOTY $5, Clearly a mistake, but hey they honored it.

Is there an easier way of checking prices than just asking them to scan each item? All my local one ever has is this setup with a bunch of DS games and like maybe Tiger Woods 07 on 360. But in their cases, most of the games mentioned are there, but they're all marked at msrp. Sorry, but i'm new to the Sears thing.
