Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here

Picked up Forza Motorsport 4 for $24.97 today. Thought it was pretty solid, though it was the last one. Also saw:

:360: Vanquish $12.97
:360: Bioshock 2 $12.97
:360: Metalica GH $4.97

:wii: Twilight Princes $16.97

There was a few others, nothing to write home about. Forza was the main thing.

Damn. I just scanned Forza 4 here last night, and it was $46.97 (no yellow sticker and still locked in the case). NHL 12 is still $39.97 and had a March sticker.

Saw several of those Kinect tripod(?) stands in the wire bin this month, too, but forgot to check the price.

Scanned a 250gb HDD (not the slim model) that suddenly appeared in the case, but it's still $100.

The DS game case was practically empty.

I heard about that pixelated part. I enjoy my DS games on my DS, but would like a larger screen. Wish there was a TV out function for the DS. I mean, use the DS itself as a controller. With the television screens divided into the two screens. I can't find myself paying normal price for a DSiXL when I do have a DS Lite.

That's the thing it's just not worth it when for a little more you can get a 3DS. Even if you don't care about the 3D part, you're almost getting that for "free" anyway. Think of the extra money above the DSi XL as money for more processing power. I rarely used the 3D back when I had one since it ate up battery life and strained my eyes after a while.

Point being, if you get a 3DS at least you'll be able to buy 3DS games as well...but the DSi XL really isn't wroth it unless you NEED a bigger screen.

If you are planning to buy any tablet but the Toshiba at Sears, I would save your money they aren't even worth 20 bucks. We get returns on pretty much everything including the Sylvania tablet (the worst).

Also the DSi XL is not worth it for the price yet. You might as well buy a 3DS. I'm sure after 2 or 3 drops it will be worth it.

The regular 250 gb HDD is strangely not on clearance.

Apparently the one local CAG by me was right and they did a 75% extra off clearance sale starting over the weekend. There was squat left that was decent. I didn't even see the black PSPGo that they had at my local store still as of last month. I woulda snapped that bitch up for $25 if it qualified for the additional percentage off.

Even those silver packaged slim PStwos were actually gone and those were buried in the case for a long, long time. What I find funniest is that the game cases are mostly overflowing with the Skylanders sets and other larger shit now. There's very few games left in either case(PS3/360 or Wii/DS/DSL/DSi/etc etc).

As it stands, I may go back for these 'used' recliners they had in front of one of the display tv's. They look like they're in decent shape still and not very used. But I'm probably gonna use half a can of Lysol on each.

Don't forget the black light. You never know...

Got a $10 off $30 coupon from them for my b-day... Guess I need to make a trip over there and start scanning stuff, it says it's valid on regular and sale priced items so clearance stuff should qualify too. Just can't use it on gaming hardware so should be good for games.

I went to the Sears in Solon about an hour ago, and the guy in electronics said that they never got a second shipment of Forza 4 after it sold out the first time around. However, I did pick up an Xbox Live 4000 points card for $40, as it was one of the old blister packs.

Still debating this. I have a DS Lite and a fairly large backlog of DS games. Hoping for a DS player in the future with the Wii U.

Cool, I didn't know you get coupons for your birthday from Sears. I'm going to check mine soon. I take it this is because you're a Shop Rewards Member and have an email address associated with your membership?
Edit: Mine says "$10 off $30 online only." Wish it was in-store.

I am a SYWR member yeah... But mine is definitely in-store and online too, sucks yours isn't.

Still need to find something to buy there though, guess I need to browse google shopping some today.

Did this come via e-mail?

I just logged into my account and updated my info.
My birthday is this Sunday and I could definitely use a coupon as I'm planning to go to Sears on Monday! :)

My birthday was yesterday and my email came several days ago, maybe Monday? It was 10 off 30 instore and online.

And yes, gameboy, via email. It came to my reward account that I've had for over a year.

Saw at least half a dozen blister pack 4000 MS points cards today, out of the blue...all were zeroed out and the manager wouldn't sell them to me. He said he had to trash them. :( I wonder what else is back there.

And by "trash them" he meant "buy them for myself".

FYI- When its "Zero" out from the system, they are suppose to RTV back to get credit and not throw it out. Now, a manager can override and use the dummy SKU.

For example, 58 8888 and price it at whatever they want.
So if the manager said they have to trash them probably just didnt want to sell it to you. Plus side, LP looks into that kind of stuff. You should throw a offer to the manager to see if they sell it to you
Arnt point cards not iinventoried so it dos't really matter? I don't know what blister pack means :/
I offered to buy it at the last price...no dice. I do know it is possible because I was allowed to buy zeroed stuff at a different sears a couple years ago.

The store had both the 59 dollar 250 gb drives and a black 99 dollar psp go, but both said "used" as the reason for discount and the packaging on both were destroyed.

Saw a $99.99 Silver DS Lite today, I also saw regular black PSP bundles for $129, did not scan any of these so I don't know what price they come up in system.

Also saw the white wired XBox 360 controller, shelf tag 29.99 and scanning as out of system.

Picked up the following items:

9V die hard alkaline batteries 2 pack red in color - 1.97
Hello Kitty iPod touch 4th gen case - 1.97
PS3 TV Superstars move required - 2.97

Many racks of 3.99 clearance clothing in all departments, picked up a hoodie buddie for 3.99.

Unless it doesn't even come up in the system anymore. Then we can't sell it and do have to return it to RTV.

I usually just call my manager to see how much they want to sell it for.

Also on an unrelated note, my manager marked down the Xbox 360 slim HDDs to 60 bucks. It was on a VOM list. Some stores may have been sent a VOM list for items that haven't been selling well. It is YMMV.

I've had mixed luck trying to get those out of the system items sold to me. The best was when I had a bunch of old games and since 1 game was ringing up for $4.97 still in the system, they gave me all the games I had for $4.97 each.

I also tried to buy a DS Charger tagged $3.97 and was told they couldn't sell it and it had to be returned. 2 weeks later I found it locked up in the glass case again. It was a different employee who had no problem letting me buy it.

The worst was at KMart when the games weren't tagged right and were out of the system, and the worker put the sticker prices on the games into the register (I didn't realize they were out of the system) and then he got annoyed with me because I kept saying I didn't want the games since they were scanning for more than they should have been. What I mean is a game had been $4.97 a few weeks prior to that but were tagged for $14.97 so he entered them in the register for $14.97.

Luckily for me any time I ran into that they used that pricing gun and looked up the last price in the system and gave the games/items to me at that price.;)

I posted this in the stickied best buy thread but if your best buy has Darksiders in stock and sears has it in stock for the same system, you can bring the best buy ad to sears and get them to price match best buy + take 10% of the difference off. I got it for about $8.60. Plus they were doubling syw rewards today. After that i paid 3 bucjks for it lol

Ah crap. I knew there was a reason I wanted to take a traipse to Sears this weekend. I forgot about the SYWR doubling thing.:bomb: Oh well. I woulda only had $7 something AFTER the doubling anyway.:whistle2:#

If what you said is true, then damn sears is shady.. I really hate doing business with them but sometimes they have steals that can't be passed. For example i had bought a hedge trimmer shipped to the store for $25, it was a discontinued item or something so it ended up having an old SKU. The person in charge of the pick up area said he cant let me have it because the SKU differs from the receipt. So he told me he'll bring me to the tools section and they'll resolve this for me. After an hour of nonsense and managers not wanting to help me i didn't leave with the item still.. If it was as easy as making a dummy SKU then i don't see why i couldn't have had a better experience. Instead now they apparently have to send back the hedge trimmer, etc. which i don't even know if i should believe in. I was pissed i couldn't get my item i specifically paid for even though the description is exactly the same and everything.

Picked up Star Fox 3D for 29.xx on "clearance". Not a huge deal but was $10 less than I've seen it. Best part was I had twice as much points as I thought I had (though I had $4, really had $8), and I still had $20 on a GC so only paid $2.

I used mine to get Mario Land 3D and it wouldn't scan in, kept saying invalid. He went over to the department head and grabbed his card and just scanned that in to manually change it though.

It definitely says in-store though and it definitely should be able to be used on games, just not game hardware.

You had twice as much in points as you remembered because I believe they had a points doubling thing going on this past weekend.

As I said in an earlier post, I completely forgot that I was going to try taking a trip up to my local Sears to use that to get a couple things outta the additional 75% off clearance sale going on now.

For what its worth I haven't been able to buy any out of the system items at any Sears store around here, and I find them occasionally. The employees simply say they can't sell them to you. You might be lucky though and get a smart employee who knows how to sell them or if the manager is there when you are shopping you might be able to get them to sell you the items.

Ah, that's awesome then, was wondering what was up. I do remember seeing an email about that too but I just thought it meant you could EARN double points, not you actual balance was doubled.

Is this nationwide or just at your local store?
I had an employee scan a clearance game for me today and there was no further discount. :S

I did notice one good deal:

Pokemon Black for DS - $24.97

Not too bad considering MSRP is $34.99 and the cheapest I've seen it otherwise is $29.99.

I'm pretty sure it was just my local store and for a very limited time to clear out whatever shit they didn't want lingering around forever in the clearance bin. They didn't it once before with an additional 50% off sign and added a sign to make sure people knew it was ONLY off the garbage in the bin and not ALL clearance, like the extra % signs usually apply to in other sections of the store.

Unfortunately that extra percentage off deal is already OVER around here, since I went back today to see if maybe I could get one of the hard shell PSPGo cases for the one PSPGo White I may keep. But I'm not about to pay $8 or more for a piece of f&%#in' plastic to 'protect' the PSPGo.

At $2 over the last week I woulda bought it for chuckles, but at $8 I'll let it sit there.;)

Grabbed the last PS3 Nav controller for $19.97. the hang tag said $29.99...the clearance sticker said was 24.99/now 19.97

PS Vita film(I think it was a screen protector type thing..didn't pay it too much attention) $7.97

PS Vita card case $2.97 Holds up to 8 Vita cards and 2 memory cards

PS Vita carrying case $14.97

PS3 wireless stereo headset $74.97

Philips iPod/Iphone USB sync charger $2.97

Belkin headphone splitter for iPod $2.97

Philips TransCast FM $2.97

Philips Cassette Adapter $3.97

Dsi XL Game Traveler $5.97

All kinds of DS game cases/holders
The PSP3000 was $109 at my Sears. How long would you expect it to take for an item like a PSP to get to 75-90%?
I'm anticipating a large drop in June/July like last year. I've seen them marked down at other stores but my local shop does not have them tagged. There is one core and one madden 11 bundle. Wonder if they're trying to let them drop without anyone knowing?

Damn. Seeing as how there is a Fifa 12 PSP 3000 bundle, I don't think they'll clearance them anytime soon.

Atleast, not like the newer(newer than the 3000) PSP go. Oh well. Lmfao. Come onnnnn PS Vita memory price drop, then I could get a Vita from Amazon warehouse for close to the price of a 3000, lol.

My Sears has a whole clearance section for games, but I never see anything good. They had a copy of Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 with the gun for PS3, I had a manager scan it and no dice, the bundle doesnt come up in their system. The box was a little beat, so he said he would give it to me for the price of BGH 2011, $24.97. Finally found a good deal at Sears.

Whoa, I need to double check this stuff when I get in to work. I knew about the Philips/Belkin stuff dropping like a rock, but I'm surprised to see the Vita stuff already. (The consoles are coming up unavailable to order from my registers, so I foresee those possibly dropping out of the system sometime soon.).

It could always be that my PCN's aren't loading properly. I still have about half a dozen PSP Go's that don't want to go below $149.97 and a PSP-3000 Hannah Montana bundle that's been stuck at $129.97 for who knows how long.

Here's a good addition to the clearance list, but good luck finding one unless you scour your Sears stores manually, since it got removed from Google Shopping as far as I can tell.

:ps3:Playstation 3 Black Friday bundle 2011(includes Little Big Planet 2 Special Edition and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One games)- as low as $109.99 when the Google Shopping link for it was working:shock:

Most frequent price I saw listed for it though was $209.97, which is still $40.02 off it's MSRP.
