Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here

GR MI Sears 28th Street

Gutted mostly crap left I couldn't even remember some PS2 games and Wii GH:WT.

There was a younger woman pricing some titles I couldn't see and didn't feel like sticking around to find out the new prices but she was clearly pricing some clearance items. Going to check again Monday after work but not expecting anything new or good.

I haven't got anything good from KMart for at least 9 months now. I'll probably pick up Metal Gear for PSP though. SEARS has been pretty decent still. But, as long as GS.com keeps the promos and coupons going, I'm good. I did get some 75% off patio furniture from Target today.:D

The last major 'score' I got from the local Kmarts just happened to be 2-4 copies of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Gamecube for $5 each.;) The one store had two and then there was one at each of two other stores. However the fourth copy disappeared before I could snag it from the same store I picked up one already.

Other than all that I picked up various $2-5 games, including a couple of the Scene It: Box Office Smash bundles, which I returned a while ago.

DAMN!! I looked but never found any....then someone sent me a sealed copy on GOOZEX, Kmart sticker and everything. lol

I think I ended up selling 2 copies on here for like $20 each SHIPPED Priority flat rate envelope to two seperate CAG's. Of course I did 'zomg flip' one to Gamestop for about $20-25.;)

but since the $1 drops appeared today, i also notice that several 4.97 games stayed at 4.97 while everything else dropped $1, this mayb the end of 1.97, .97 games

A few posts up just stated that a $4.97 game went back up to $29.99. Lets see if $4.97 is the lowest and then the games go back up. This is sounding like major suckage so far.

My local two Sears stores both had copies of Wolfenstein at one point and the only one with one now has it stuck at $14.97.:roll:

Neither of them have MUA2, GH:Smash Hits or Transformers anymore either. Furthermore I don't think they ever had Wheelman for the 360(or PS3)and only the further of the two local stores had Fallout 3 GOTY in stock and that was only for PS3.
 
I also keep checking the Metal Gear Solid Essentials Collection because my sears has about 15 of them clogging up the clearance bins but they never drop the price. It makes no sense to me.
 
Hmm well that wasn't so bad after all. I had the same crummy $1 drops as everyone else but managed to fully pay for two pre-orders for the collector's edition FFXIV's and repay myself the out of pocket money with a little extra on top. Would have been epic if they had been the $5 drops but oh well. :shrug: I'd post the how-do's but I don't wanna get lynched. :p

Curse this $1 price drop thing. The closest store to me has 1 copy each of Wolfenstein and Wet for the 360 at $13.97 now. Under $10 is my price point which I was hoping would be this week :cry:

No way to know unless he comes here and addresses the issue. Whether or not this is going to be a month issue is what the major concern should be. SHC has been awesome with his new release sales. I don't see why they'd want to prevent people from buying clearance titles that see almost no sales with their normal pricing. Then again, we've seen so many companies with bad marketing decision like HWV/BBV its no surprise that they do that :roll:
 
So I have not been able to find any good clearance games in forever it seems anywhere. I have not been to Sears in quite a long time seeing as I only have one in my area and it rarely has ANYTHING. I gave up about a year ago on my Sears, but seeing as I have been going through a terrible dryspell of clearance, I feel as though I should try my luck again and walk among the tv watching lazy people who call themselves Sears employees.

I have searched through the thread and had a heck of a time combing through the posts for good 360 games to nab, especially with all of the SHC hullabuloo and what not. Anyone care to give me a decent list of 360 games I should look for when I head out Sunday?
 
For those interested in MUA2, the DLC is actually back up until the end of the year now. If that's what was holding you back from it, now would be the best time to pick it up. :]
 
Yea it's been a while since we've had a somewhat concise list of what we should be on the lookout for. Since we're in a fresh month of drops, anyone care to help start one? (not in the OP)

Man I just traded it in. But I did beat it on Legendary and never bothered to play it again.
 
One of my stores found more Guitar Hero 3 PS3 bundles, unfortunately they were out of system and the employee said they had to put them back in the warehouse >

They lost the outer packaging of the MGS Essentials a long time ago around here and the cases are just taped together using clear packing tape.:roll:

But considering the cases feel awful light and I don't even hear the telltale rattle of a disc from two out of three of them, I think someone stole the discs and left the packaging there.

Then again, I picked up some PS3 game about six months ago from a further off Sears that was sealed with packing tape too and the game was still in there(somehow). Normally I bitch about Gamestop doing that sort of thing(opened game resealed with tape or otherwise still called 'new' without wrapping), but I had no problem with a clearance game like that since it was so f'n cheap.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (PS3): $8.97 :hot: (This wasn't at the store last time)
Chaotic Shadow Warriors (DS): $1.97 (Haven't seen this posted?)
Ener-G Gym Rockets (DS): $1.97
LocoRoco 2 (PSP): $1.97

*There was also a new Imagine game clearanced down to 14.97, didn't write down which one though guys.*

Not too shabby, hoping we get to the regular schedule next month though

My local sears never has any of these games! Does anybodies sears have an extra copy of dead space extraction wii for 5 bucks? I could pay you 10 bucks to get it and ship it to me

Actually I'm from the opposite coast just about(PA). The one Sears by me took to mummifying clearance games in clear packing tape for a while.

They would literally wrap clear packing tape around each game until there was like 2-3 layers of it. Unfortunately this made keeping the games sealed a challenge if you wanted to just keep the shrinkwrap and lose the tape.:cry:

One of the local Kmarts also started doing this and it was quite the pain in the ass getting a game, only to realize that it's been encased in tape.:roll:

I haven't checked today - but the DLC is not back on the PSN yet. It was restored to Xbox Live around the 4th.

A quick visit to MAU2 PS3 Gamefaqs board where children are screaming bloody murder over having to wait longer than Xbox owners- is good for some lulz.

Also, chiming in here because I snagged MAU2 for 4.97 or 9.97 a month or two ago and really found it to be a fun distraction from all the serious business games I've played lately.

When the DLC hits the PSN, I'm buying it immediately and doing another play through.

I hope to check my Sears tomorrow but El Hoardo came through and bought 28 games a month or so ago according to the cashier. Been pretty much a bust since - save for that copy of MAU2 and a single Hot Shots Golf.

They were using special knife-resistant kevlar tape. Totally stops shoplifters. :D

I hit a pair of stores back where I used to live that used to be a treasure trove and got Wet PS3 for 4.97 (before Friday) and Transformers ROTF for 3.97 on Friday. Everything else was gone surprisingly and I was really hoping for Motorstorm 2 and Wolfenstein for PS3. Oh well.
