Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here
Ooooh first friday of the month. I think I'll risk stopping by a sears or two today, to see if anything's changed.
Sigh.

*remembers the good old days

Just got back from Sears and everything was still marked and scanning with Feb prices. Might have to wait until next Friday to see what March drops look like.

EDIT: Nothing new in the clearance area either.

My Sears overhauled their video game section. The glass cases are still present but the clearance area did return. No good prices a few decent PS3 offerings but nothing I wanted other then Mirrors Edge $13.XX. Nothing at the prices we used to see.

They also had over 20 kinect's.

I'll check back in a few months to see if anything has dropped.

Aren't the drops usually the first Friday of the month but not when the month begins in the middle of the week?

Even if there are drops, I don't expect anything great. Normally you could expect the $9.97 games to go to $4.97 or $2.97 but that doesn't seem likely.

Yeah, I figured that was the case as that is how it was even back in the glory days, but I thought I would stop by anyway to check it out for people who don't feel like driving to one today.
I also hate checking the bin because they always have so many employees standing around doing nothing at the front of the store where the bin is... I always feel like they're mocking me. I mean the bin as been there since probably late last summer and only a few things in the bin ever were technically at a clearance price.
My store doesn't even have any bins anymore the last few times I checked. But I know exactly what you mean about the mocking part. At my store, there are usually about 4-6 of them standing around the center aisle between electronics and appliances, doing nothing. I usually have to walk right between them to get to the end where the bins were, and have actually heard mocking at least once. You would think they would put less people on schedule if they have nothing to do but stand around, but I guess that explains all the bankruptcies.

Strange, I must have stopped at Bizarro-Sears. At this Sears, there was a clearly marked clearance bin which was mostly clearance titles with a few cheap games mixed in and then there were cheap game bins. The latest price stickers were FEB, but most scanned lower than the price on that sticker so THERE WERE DROPS TODAY! :hot::hot::hot: It seems like historically the 4th is the cutoff, Fridays on the 4th or later mean a drop and earlier means no drop. Anyway, here are the drops I scanned, it's all off the top of my head and I was in a hurry so a few might be off by a dollar or two, but most drops were 2-3 bucks while a few were $5 off:

:360: DJ Hero Bundle 14.97 (last sticker said JAN 29.97, but wasn't it 19.97 in FEB?)
:ps3: DJ Hero Bundle 24.97 (last sticker said JAN 49.97, but wasn't it 29.97 in FEB?)
:360: Singularity 14.97 (last sticker was FEB 19.97)
:ds: Dragon Quest 4(?) 17.97 (last sticker was FEB 19.97)
:wii: Boom Blox Party 13.97 (last was FEB 14.97)
:wii: Zelda Twilight Princess 39.97 (last was FEB 41.97)
:ds: Zelda Phantom Hourglass 20.97 (last was FEB 23.97)
:wii: Mercury Meltdown Revolution 4.97 no change from FEB

There were a ton of other games marked with FEB clearance tags that I didn't scan including:
:360: Street Fighter 4 17.97
:360: Metro 2033 29.97
:wii: Madagascar Cart Racing game with wheel 24.97
:ds: Headset 3.97
:ps3: Kung Fu Riders Move game 24.97

I decided to get DJ Hero as 15 was my highest price to get it and they were down to two 360, two PS3 and four Wii copies (didn't scan the Wii one). Considering MMR, Boom Blox, the headset and waiting on Metro, Singularity, Twilight Princess, DQ4.

Also Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo ODST were all marked 19.99, not clearance, but still cheaper than normally found for 3 and ODST.

Also saw a Canon HD camcorder HFR10 for 200 down from 400 on clearance and marked discontinued. Fair review, seems to be had for 260 elsewhere already according to cnet.

Nice small price drop, but not much. These are still not that great of a deal.
Wasn't hourglass cost $15? I think I remember it was months ago.
YMMV

I noticed the drops today too when I went to the mall to buy some new clothes. I scanned a handful of games since the price tags hadn't been updated, and everything was only $1-4 less than last month. Pretty disappointing. The only game worth mentioning was :ps3: Green Day Rock Band for $4.97. I bought one of the two copies they had in the bin. Not the greatest find, but still not bad.

EDIT: They also marked The Beatles: Rock Band special editions (the ones with the original Rock Band equipment) down to $50 on the PS3 and $60 on the 360. I bet a lot of Sears have shelves full of those marked down to similar prices.

YMMV
Pretty sure the FEB sticker was 24.97 and and the new price was 21.97. I know slight change, but I can't remember which game was 23.97 and went down two-three bucks. I know it was still over $20 today.

Check this out!

I googled "DS Phantom Hourglass sears" and chose shopping on the left and it shows the clearance price from FEB and stock locator! I tried it with a few games from today and all listed the FEB sticker price and showed the game as limited stock for the store I was at today! Hope that can be a useful tool for fellow CAGS!

Another Drop:

PS3 Ratchet and Clank Crack in Time 19.97 down from 21.97

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! Some locations list the new price drops as well.
Strange, I must have stopped at Bizarro-Sears.
I think you WERE at Bizarro-Sears because the "March" price drops you listed are all still higher prices than the ones at my Sears for the February drop by $3-4. For example, the FEB-stickered Phantom Hourglass at my store is $17. Guess the prices really are YMMV from now on.

Nice find on the tracker! It even shows the correct 3.97 price on Patapon 2 even though some stores still don't have it in the clearance bins. This is very nice for finding things not even the store knows dropped.

Saw it for $15. guess depends on area.
I was thinking about picking it up, but got spirit tracks. I think tracks is better then hourglass.

Thanks. Worked for TRU, too! Listed the clearance price, but one store which had 3 or 4 NFS Shifts the other day is listed as OOS. Maybe all of them sold since then, but I doubt it.

The one store I went to today had some drops (the printed out yellow sticker sheets that hadn't been used by any employee, just sitting in the area). Didn't get a chance to notice anything really specific but saw several $19.97-to-$14.97 (or 14-to-9) drops. Looks slightly encouraging.

jdawgg: I think Halo 3 is a price drop. I saw it for 19.99 at Target and Amazon. Can't confirm ODST. And congrats on hitting the clearance jackpot.

I picked up dj hero (360) for 15. I'm happy with that! It was still marked 39.99 and rung up 15. Guy at the register seemed shock.

Hit Sears up just about an hour ago. Here's a few of the markdowns...

Green Day: Rock Band (PS3 - Game ONLY) - $4.97
DJ Hero w/ Turntable (PS3) - $24.97
Blacksite: Area 51 (PS3) - $14.97
Buzz! Junior Robo Jam w/ 4 wired buzzers (PS2) - $4.97

Also had a bunch of other PS3, 360, and Wii games priced between $15-$20.

How does the original DJ Hero turntable compare to the DJ Hero 2 one? Are they the same? Otherwise I'll return my 12.48 copy to of the stand alone game to Target for the bundle as opposed to waiting for the DJ Hero 2 bundle to drop.

A few small drops. :ps3: DJ Hero is 24.97. I may bite if it hits 20 or less. Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time for 16.97. I hope it hits 10.

The most notable thing was that my Sears was making up a new bin of clearance games while I was there. Mostly Wii stuff but there were a few PS3 games I saw. I'll have to check it out this week or next.

I went to the other Sears in my area for the first time in about 3-4 months looking for a few games I knew were still there from the old clearance. I found :ps3:Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and figured for $5 I'd pick it up and give it a whirl.

It rings up $19.99. WTF!!!:bomb:

I also went there looking for the copies of :wii:Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenchawhatever 3 that I had seen there prior, but there must be another reseller around here buying up shit since they were nowhere to be found.

Oh well. Struck out as usual as of late at Sears.

That DBZ: budokai tenkaichi 3 is becoming scarce to find new; sealed. If you find one definitely buy it. GS is selling it for 34.99 used....not to mention it is a fantastic looking and playing game.

You know what is pretty awesome? DJ Hero bundle. My kids and I are having a lot of fun with it. I'm a white guy in his mid-30s and at one point my 10-year-old son turns to me and says, "You look like a DJ, Dad!" I don't think he knows what a DJ looks like. It's a great game though. I want to pick up DJ Hero 2 for the new tracks and 2nd turn table.

Wii Deadspace Extraction 20.97 - back on clearance

Xbox Live Vision starter kit $9.97

Lots of what others are reporting

also 60GB 360 HDD (one with HDD,Headset & 3 months of Gold) $79.97 ..hope the Hard drives sit around for awhile

Bought DJ Hero Bundle for XBox 360 for $8 today. It was available for PS3 for $11 and Wii for $19. Prices were clearly marked on the box at the Sears I went to. The $8 price was just across from the original $99 price tag!

This is probably a huge YMMV, since I just came back from mine with the PS3 bundle still at 25 bucks.

Even at 20-25 DJ Hero is worth it. I know people want to hold out for a potentially super low price but you can't go wrong with it. I got it around November back for $30 at Target and have no regrets.

Singularity looks for that price too, not a full price game for me by any means but seems like a steal for that price. I'll also probably bite on Patapon 2 next time I'm there, I locked in 1 for a trade in of almost $8 at Amazon.

I believe the version of Patapon 2 that's in stock at Sears is a DLC voucher only version though as there's no UMD in the case itself. So once that's used then a trade in may be unlikely.

Got a bunch of items, all :360:

2 DJ Heros (one place had em for $14.97, another $16.97)
Microsoft white battery pack ($3.97)
Tony Hawk Ride 1 ($24.97)

My boyfriend went looking on Thursday and got a bunch of PSP batteries & PSP Hardcases for under $1, all official Sony branded.
