Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here
My sears has two metal bins, a clearance wall, as well as the games behind the glass.
my 3 local sears are all different, one has 2/3 metal bins with clearance games/electronics, another has a cart with clearance games, another doesnt have anything at all just games behind the glass case

I had to take a friend to the Nashville airport today, so I went by a couple places to see what I could find. Here's what I got:

:ps3: Far Cry 2- $3.97
:ps3: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2- $1!
:ps3: Wolfenstein- $1!
:ps3: Hawx- $13.97
:360: Far Cry 2- $8.97
:360: Wolfenstein- $12.97
:ds: 3x Ener-G Gym Rockets- $0.97

Now, all these games were behind the glass case, BEHIND the games lined up in the front. Before I asked if I could dig around in the glass case (after seeing there were some games stacked behind them), the guy in electronics assured me (of course) that only multiples were behind the ones in front. After I started throwing games from out of the back (none of which were up front) and he started scanning them, he was more than surprised.

I was really surprised at MUA2 and Wolfenstein ringing up $1 for PS3. The employee was pretty surprised, too, and said he would love to pick one up at that price. And since there were two, I let him have one. :D It was pretty funny. He started skipping around the electronics bragging to his coworkers how he was going to play as Iron Man for $.90 after his employee discount. I may have been a bit of a Hoardo as far as all the games I picked up go, but I'm happy I shared the wealth just a little bit. :]

EDIT: Oh yeah. And I'm kind of having buyer's remorse with Hawx, and both the 360 titles. I feel like they'll all be much cheaper soon, and I won't get around to playing them until that point hits, anyway. Think I should return them?

I really wish i could find MUA2 for $1!! The last one I saw in my area rang up $14.97 :(

I'm set to hit up the Sears I nabbed the Lips bundle, Singstar Vol. 2 bundles, Dirt 2 and handful of Imagine: Family Doc games at the last time I was down that way tomorrow en route to/from a couple Salvation Army stores.

Hopefully there's a few games still left there. But if not then it's no big deal since I don't really need anymore in my backlog.

I saw a bunch of Gears 2 GOTY, but those are still $30 correct? I swore I saw Gears mentioned earlier, but I keep thinking it was the first one. Any facts please?

Don't worry about it. Only people who pick up 3 or more of the same game can be called El Hoardo.

I went to the worst sears ever. They had nothing on clearance. They had all the games that should be marked down but they were all full price. They even had a Guitar hero 2 bundle for $89.99.

The only thing they had marked as clearance were old ps2 dvd remotes marked down to 19.97 or something like that.

Which one in Nashville? Hickory Hollow? Bellevue? Madison?

If they rung up for $1 even it sounds like they might have been manually marked down?
Yeah--I was near a Sears yesterday, so I dropped in and had them scan Viva Pinata Pocket Paradise, and it was still ringing up for $19+.

:whistle2:(
Our Sears' stink in regards to clearance...

;)

I hit up the much further off Sears today. They had a lone copy of A Boy & His Blob for Wii, the leftover copy of Warioware: Smooth Moves that I left there last time as well as a handful of other titles for Wii and other systems, though most of the stuff was marked right now.

Is Warioware: Smooth Moves on clearance?
Which one in Nashville? Hickory Hollow? Bellevue? Madison?
Hickory Hollow. The other Sears I went to in Nashville, which was only about ten minutes away, turned out to be a "Sears Outlet", which I had never heard of. It was basically a warehouse that had a bunch of washers, dryers, and T.V.s. No games. D:

Although the greatest disappointment that day was finding out Game Galaxy got rid of their Blazblue machine. I always wanted to run into someone legitimately good on it and wipe the floor with them :p

I have a question, where would the video games be located? Every Sears I go to, I can never seem to find them... And for some dumbass reason, it never crosses my mind to ask an employee. lol

i can confirm that wario smooth moves was on clearance. It was sitting in an under $5 bin. I didn't buy it b/c I was too busy buying smash hits wii and ps3, metallica ps3, metroid prime trilogy wii, boy and his blob wii for $3.97 from said bin. I can't confirm that smooth moves was $3.97 but it is likely.

I wonder how much leeway individual sears locations have. Dirt 2 actually rose in price to $8.99 and is displayed prominantly (but not locked in a case), most likely b/c they thought people would buy it at that price.
is it possible that some Sears just don't carry games?
Some don't. There's one around here that only has clothing/jewelry/tools/glasses in one store, but across the parking lot there is another sears that has Electronics and appliances.

Now there is an efficient use of retail space.

Well, it is one of the main Sears here with a warehouse where you pick up specially ordered items in the area and they do have quite a ton of stuff in both stores. I couldn't imagine them fitting everything in just the first location.

That sounds like the Sears down in Whitehall(PA). It's in the Whitehall Mall, which is directly across from the Lehigh Valley Mall and it seems really f'n tiny compared to other Sears stores I've seen before.
Electronics section, it used to be located in the boy's clothing department until the late 90's.
That's right! I bought my N64 at SEARS next to the boys clothes dept. Remember how figgen awesome 007 Golden Eye was at the time!

For that matter just cause it's tagged a certain price doesn't mean a whole lot.

Second, are you sure it was Smooth Moves and not Shake It, which is on clearance and probably for $3.97 at this point?
oh yeah, it was shake it. sorry guys. i don't know much about nintendo these days. smooth moves just sounded so strikingly familiar.
Be glad you aren't trying to keep up with the "Imagine" series of games.. Lol

Damn, damn...great haul. The Sears Outlet I believe is in 100 Oaks, which is right outside of Nashville. No point in knowing the location other than to avoid it unless you are wanting a good deal on a scratch and dent appliance. This all reminds me of the pilgrimages I made to the Rivergate Circuit City when they would lose their minds and clearance a lot of games.

For those not wanting to waste time going to Sears stores that have no game section anymore, I know of at least two(one in NY state, one in PA).

Ithaca, NY(Pyramid Mall or whatever it's called now)
Bloomsburg, PA(Columbia Mall)

When I was last at the Columbia Mall they were attempting to clear out all their games, but I'm not 100% sure if they ever did. If someone local to that area has a definitive answer though, please feel free to enlighten us.

Passed by the games section in my local, and for some reason the cheapest games were actually marked properly! Nothing worth buying, sadly... Passed on PS3 Rock Revolution and several PS2 Soul Calibur 3 for $0.97 each....

But I might go back and grab that RR just for the case - you never know when you might need one!

Haha, thanks. :) Unfortunately, the Circuit City clearances/liquidations was before I was full-time CAG- otherwise you would have had some competition. ;) And yeah, the Sears Outlet is in 100 Oaks, in case you were looking to mark it off a list, too.

Is it only the PS3 version of Lego Rock Band that's on clearance? Mine had a Wii one that rang up for $20 and some 360 ones that were behind the glass.

On a positive note... I was looking through the games, and wedged in the very back was Metroid Prime Trilogy for $3.97. Awesome.
went to a really far off sears and hit jackpot .. well maybe not

10+ MPT but they are ringing up 39.97
There's a Sear Super Center or something or other like that which is the same way. They don't really follow clearance prices like others.

Just return/rebuy them at a different store where they're on clearance.
Are we taking bets on what the next drop will be?
My money's on "A disappointment"

My Orlando area Sears run has been quite a downer. Most of the stores had the good stuff at $3.97 but apparently they have either since sold out, or are somewhere in the backroom. The only thing I can seem to find are Ener-g Gym Rockets, Loco Roco 2's and GH:WT's. I guess its my fault for not planning the trip closer to a drop date.

I was reading through this thread last night, and I found something that someone wanted but I found it at toysrus. I can't remember what page the question was asked on but someone wanted to know where they could find a cheap drum set to use rock revolution for the ps3. ToysRUs now has the game and the drum set for 20 bucks which is the cheapest that I have seen it. If you happen to buy it this week you could get it for 10 bucks if there was some other game you wanted to buy since they have the buy one get one 50% off.

Also since I am discussing toysrus they also have blur right now for ps3 for 29.99. I know walmart and amazon are selling the game anywhere between 40 and 60.

Or if people used the Best Buy AND manufacturer's coupon a while back they could get the game for $10 from there(like many did).

Blur for $29.99 @ TRU has been misinformation going around for at least a week now. It's only $29.99 online, try calling a store and see if they don't say it's $59.99. Just wanted to mention it while the topic came up, I'm sick of seeing it spread like a rumor.

The shelf tag in my local store says otherwise, but I already got it at BB for $10, played it, hated it, and traded it for $24.
