Edit by Io - The most recent (1/26) drops are in the very beginning of the second post, so look there first!

------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT -- Feb 4th
Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

Don't forget to post your trade wishes and wants in the Official TRU Trading Thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121672

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

Picked up Drakengard 2 and Marc Ecko's Getting Up LE (PS2) for $10 each, there were tons of Gran Turismo 4 and Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers for the same price.

Id kill for darkness (ps3), okami (ps2) and the zelda sling bag at those prices. I'll have to go check again, but i doubt any near me will have those.

The only clearance games at the Arden Fair store in Sacramento, CA, were Head Coach (Xbox) and MLB 2K6 (PS2), both for 9.99. The one in Citrus Heights didn't have anything on clearance but I did discover that the board game Careers got revamped and that there's apparently now a Spanish version of Scrabble with "LL", "RR", and N plus tilde pieces.
Zelda bag, a store near me had it, but I doubt it anymore.
My TRU had about 6 of them when I was there 2 weeks ago. Should go back and check, might buy one now for $9.90.

One near me only had 2 :X
I need to go Later today.
Hopefully some of the promotions aren't over.

I lucked out and found a copy of Metroid Prime Hunters for $9.90 this week. I guess the only reason it was still on the shelf was the sticker price said it was $34.99 ;)

Yeah that's pretty much the reason why I found a few clearance games at Circuit City the other day. They were still sitting on the shelf in the plastic cases marked full price.

The Store in Novi, MI had a total of 2 Wii games on clearance: Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell. Most, if not all, of these are so old, they haven't been in stock for a long time at this Toys R Us.

Please see OP for update on which games are from the latest drops and which ones were shipped in VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES at release. Don't forget games like Okami have been on clearance for a long time. It was even 9.98 for awhile before it dropped to 5 so chances of a rare game (which apparently ebays for 50ish) to still be around at 5 are slim (although I did find one!). I didn't even include Gears of War LE and Lost Planet LE and NFS Carbon LE all are 9.90 each because this drop occurred in August and could hardly be found then because they were in limited quantities. Just keep this in mind when seeing the list and then making a special 50 mile trip to get PS3 The Darkness, PS2 Okami, and/or 360 Overlord and Eternal Sonata. Don't get upset if the outcome is bupkus cause the chances are slim (but not impossible).
Just got back from TRU in San Jose, CA, and totally disappointed. The cashier scanned Disgaea 2 only to have it ringed up at $49.99. He even added that they do not price match online stuff. Also, he says they never even got Eternal Sonata in store. They got a bunch of display cases and price tags for it, but the game itself never showed up. Hope my TRU is the low exception and everybody else has better luck.
That's EXACTLY what happened to me (Eternal Sonata wasn't in their system since they never received it).

And my store definitely won't do in-store price matching (i.e. buy online at toyrus.com and get the difference if the in-store clearance price is cheaper) -- asked several people now to confirm -- so that's YMMV

I think I probably hit every TRU between NY and DC and didn't get much. So, don't waste your time East Coasters. I got:

Dead Rising - 19.98
Wing Island - 9.90

Picked up a copy of
NDS Tony Hawk Downhill Jam - 9.90
X360 Dynasty Warriors 5 - 5.00
X360 Ninety-Nine Nights (i think thats the proper title?) - 5.00
has anyone had luck finding Kameo or Dead Rising for those prices?
I got Dead Rising for $19.98. The box was crushed, so the cashier sold it to me for $14.98.
X360 Ninety-Nine Nights (i think thats the proper title?) - 5.00
I picked it up for $10.98 last month. Did it just drop?
I picked it up for $10.98 last month. Did it just drop?
Must have as that's the first time I've seen that price reported for it. Don't forget that we didn't get an actual complete list from an insider for the last drop so I'm sure there are still undiscovered drops out there which will be hard to find unless they are actually marked. I think a TRU has it around here, I may check it out although I still don't know if I'm interested in actually buying it. Is it any good?

Games I still see in the Atlanta area are Dead Rising, PDZ regular and LE, Outfit, SCDA, DOA4, Kameo, XBLA Unplugged, several of the 19.98 games.
has anyone had luck finding Kameo or Dead Rising for those prices?
I picked up the last Kameo at my store at Christmas for $9.98...

Also The Civil war game for the 360 is 9.90 and Elder Scroll 4 i think is on sale not the Collectors Edition Because i work at TRU in Miami, FL and its still 59.99 down here.
OP list updated with recent reports. Games awaiting confirmation are in orange.
Actually, the PSP battery charger has been $9.98 at TRU for a while now (if you're referring to the wall charger that you plug the battery into). I bought one a couple of weeks back.

RPB , FL TRU was pretty dry as well. Wrote down nearly 30 clearanced games that I was interested in and they only had 1 , Bomberman Act Zero , same two copies they've had for months now (I bought both though). Only other clearance thing they had was two final copies of the live vision bundle.

Actually they did have a few other things such as Sly 2 , FFXII , and a couple other crappy DS games but nothing I was acutually looking for.

This, unfortunately, is generally what I find at just about every TRU I visit, as well. I was somewhat interested in Children of Mana when they put it in the clearance/crap bin at my local store, but I passed when I found out it was $20.

just a heads up to anybody in the ft lauderdale area, the Plantation store and the Ft Lauderdale store had nothing. The ft lauderdale store had a lot of Sly 2 if youre intrested.

Changed it to confirmed.

anyone fount Eternal Sonata?
Only a handful of people actually found it in the other threads, just like Overlord. Only one saw Darkness.

I was at my TRU on Sunday while getting Brawl and Umbrella Chronicles, so i looked around for any clearance games. They had assloads of Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) and Lumines 2 (PSP) for $9.90. Aside from that, they were pretty barren of everything else with an attractive orange tag.

I can confirm the wireless headset for $30. Picked up the last one at my store. :) Playgear Pockets (the PSP case), by the way, are only $5 at my store. Can anyone else confirm this, or is it YMMV?

How good does that case work with the Slim PSP?
I don't know why everyone is getting so upset about not finding any of these games. Most of the items on the list have been on clearance for 6 months or more and are long gone.
Oh, I wasn't upset about not finding the sales games, I was just upset that considering the size and location of the store that the selection of games at large was so pitiful. Then again I rarely shop at TRU for gaming-related things outside of sales, but it seems that the few years that have passed since I last visited that TRU in particular...well, they weren't too kind, to say the least!

TRU in Tustin, CA had a few things on marked under $10:

XBX Farcry Instincts Evolution $3
PS2 Genji $10.98
PS2 Black $9.90
PS2 MGS 3: Snake Eater $9.90
XBX Fable $9.98
XBX Timesplitters $5
PS2 Scarface $9.98

These were also under $10, but i dont remember the exact prices...
PS2 Big Mutha Truckers
PS2 Sopranos

called toysrus in Webster, TX and Pasadena looking for a few titles and both said they didn't have them. i still plan to visit a couple stores tomorrow to see what's in stock.

If you have the time and the interest in picking up a bunch of these titles, it's still certainly worth a shot. Most retail employees don't want to be bothered with checking to see if things are in stock or what the prices are. They will just make stuff up.

It really depends on who's calling and asking about what. If they're nice and it's something not incredibly ridiculous, I'll check for them. If they're asses about it, and it's something outlandish, If I can't easily find it, we don't have it.

Clearance games, I'll check for every system but the DS. We have 3-4 bins just packed full with
As posted in a locked thread, and perhaps on this thread Dead Rising is $19.98. I picked up the last one in Niles, IL last night. It worked out well since I had to return Smash since I forgot I had ordered as a 2 for 1 deal back in November. Of note was the fact they didn't have the case out on the display shelf, but they did have the game in the lock up case. I'm heading back to kill some zombies.
I think i was there maybe two or three days before you posted and i didnt see anything... i would have def bought that if i would have seen it! i guess i missed it. haha oh well good find.

i find it uber annoying when that happens. i've had employees at various stores (sears, office depot, etc.) tell me that they don't have certain products that they in fact do have in stock. Either they don't know what they're talking about or what i'm talking about for that matter, or like you said don't want to be bothered. i'll definitely try visiting a few stores before i give up.

Can't say I know yet, sorry. Still waiting on my PSP, but I figure, if nothing else I'll just put some foam in to pad it. Asking around on the PSP board might get ya some good answers. :)
