Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

OK, the "joke" post and all responses have been wiped out. It was a good one, but resulted in too much clutter just when the thread had started to become informative again. For example, someone posted that they found Picross for $7.98 at TRU. That's a new one and might easily have been missed amongst all the other posts.

Went to 3 TRUs, Pembroke Pines had no clearance games. I got Dead Rising for $10.00 in Fort Lauderdale. They had nothing else.

Went out to dinner with some family tonight, so was near a usually out of the way store in Plantation. Looked around, saw nothing. Thank god for Wifey! While I was looking at games behind the counter, she saw the Video Game Dude filling the clearance bin. She mentioned Blue Dragon, I turned around & grabbed it. The other X360 games were Meet the Robinsons, DDRU (Game Only) & Fuzion Frenzy 2. Got Blue Dragon for $8.46. Thanks OP!
 
I got Dead Rising for $7.98 and FFXII for $4.00 on Sunday, in Exton Pa. Not only were they clearance items, but the store had an additional 20% off clearance items sale as well.
 
how are you guys finding those Dead Rising? I want one but dont' see it at the only 2 TRU i know of in SLC. But I do see alot of Blue dragons, N3, and other stuff. Just never see any Eternal Sonata or Dead Rising and AI: Encore.

Congrats on a great find. In my opinion that has to be one of the best gaming deals ever. That is a lot of game for $8 and despite the hate it gets here I thought it was excellent. Of course, you have to be a fan of JPRGs probably to like it.

It astounds me that people still see it sitting around at that price.

And yeah, I paid full price for it. I somewhat regret it only in that it has been so cheap so many places now (I never saw it at TRU but did at Target for $14.98). But I did at least play it through before the clearances happened unlike a lot of other games I bought at full price ;).

Very true. I saw a couple copies at only one TRU near me. I almost wished I didn't already have it, it is such a good deal.

Hey IO,

I know, I am very happy with this deal. :D I was always curious about Blue Dragon . Could never find it at any Target I went to. Every time I decided to "bite" on an online deal, they were OOS. :cry: I KNEW that if I went to enough TRUs I would finally find it (with all the posts saying: "Oh, I saw piles & piles of Blue Dragon").

Now if only I can find the Blazing Angels 2 Deal for $5.00.

I would mention Eternal Sonata, but that appears to be a pipe dream. The Video Game Dude told me his store never got a copy. HE had to go to GS to get HIS copy. :roll:
 
I, also, found a 360 wireless racing wheel with PGR3 for $20 (last one), but gave it to my nephews. I figured they'd get much more use out of it than I would. (You didn't think I gave it to them out of the kindness of my heart, did you? ;))
 
Can't find Blue Dragon for the life of me. There's only one more Toys R Us within a reasonable distance of over 25 miles or so for me to check if I want it. :(

I did manage to pick up another Valkyrie Profile 2 for $8 for a friend, as well as the last copy of Suikoden Tactics for $4 (hiding behind some other PS2 games).
 
I picked up a few games yesterday for myself and the wife:

- Splinter Cell DA - $4 (360) - may trade in...not a fan of "stealth" games
- Godfather $8 (PS3) - Might keep it....
- Elite Beat Agents (DS) - Got it for the wife, she seems to like it, but may trade it here if anyone was interested (if she gets bored of it).
 
Wierd seeing everyone so geeked about :ds: EBA for $8

Between Kmart's $5 or less price and the YMMV Wal-Mart clearance on it, I've seen(and picked up) it for cheaper.

My Kmart never has anything and Wal-Mart is...well...Wal-Mart, so it depletes all faith in the future of the human race when I enter there. :p That, and I didn't know about those two so $8 was an awesome find. Like the poster above, I got it for the wife and she loves it!
 
I was unaware about EBA being cheaper....oh well. I Was not "geeked" for it, I just wanted to give my wife another game for the DS....she now has two.

I've been thinking about getting a racing wheel a lot lately (I recently bought Forza 2 and DiRT) if I saw it at $20 I'd buy it without a doubt. I'm heading up to a Toys R Us here in about 20 minutes, hope to find something good!

I'm assuming you meant WHEEL. It has to be the one with PGR3 bundled in it.....not Forza 2.

Not sure if the PGR3 ones are the ones that caught on fire also....

Weird - I was at TRU on Tuesday looking for clearance stuff and saw a couple copies of Disgaea 2 behind the counter. I asked the guy to scan 'em and they rang up at $39.99.

On second thought... I never actually saw the screen. It's possible the guy scanned them, saw they were $10.98 and then wanted to keep them for himself. In any case, thought it was awful weird. :(
 
Just got back from work, no clearance mark downs are happening at my store next week. However, the 360 Harry Potter Phoenix is getting marked up to 19.99 from 9.98 at my store.

A few TRUs still have Disgaea 2 at $39.99.

Here's how you can check:
"Free Retrofit for Wireless Racing Wheel

The retrofit of the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel is only required on product with SKU numbers 9Z1-00001, 9Z1-00002, 9Z1-00003, 9Z1-00004, 9Z1-00009, 9Z1-00011, 9Z1-00012, 9Z1-00013, 9Z1-00017, 9Z1-00018 and Wheel part numbers X809211-001, X809211-002, X809211-003, X809211-004, X809211-005.
The SKU number can be found on a label on the bottom side of the retail carton and the Wheel part numbers are found on a label on the bottom side of the dashboard assembly. Any SKU or Wheel not included in this list will not require the retrofit."

So check it out and order the retrofit if necessary (and make sure your homeowners insurance is paid up).
 
I've been visiting my local TRU every other day since this started, and made some good finds. It doesn't look like anyone else is hitting it up, which works for me. They still have copies of the Family Guy game for PS2/PSP, as well as more copies of Def Jam: Icon than I could count on the shelf. So, if you need an embarassing game in your collection that you don't want to admit owning..

Ive only been to the TRUS at Plaza and at Carolina and i have found better deals at the one in Carolina (Though theres still a Vision Kit in the Plaza TRU).

And its always cool to meet PR Cagers.
 
Today I saw the 120 GB HDD for the 360 clearanced at $149.98 (before the extra 20% off). That's the first time I've seen them marked down.

Also the pink controllers are $44.98 before extra 20%. I grabbed the last Halo wireless headset for $16 after 20% off. Those are a rare find by now, I think, based on the other TRUs I've been to.

I hit a mini-jackpot today i was able to pickup the following:

Dead Rising $7.98 (x2)

Blue Dragon $7.98 (x2)

Farcry: Instincts $4.00
The Outfit $4.00

I was also able to use the $10 off $50 coupon to get them even cheaper.

I think I am going to have to make one last run to check to see if I can find anything good.

I remeber seeing a Halo 3 headset at a random TRU but forgot it was on clearence a while back, I might have to check it out again next time I am up in that area.

I plan to hit the one in Hatillo...but man that is quite a long trip from where I am xP Though last time I went to it I found some nice specials.

So need to plan another road trip one of this days!

My store still has it for 49.99 also but if you scan it Derrick1979 it will be 39.99 after 20% off. It's on the clearance cycle even though the price hasn't changed hence the reason it gets 20% off even though it's still 50$. My store only has one copy but it still should have dropped at least some after all this time it's been on clearance. It's sort of like the Mark of Kri of TRU ;)
 
I would imagine "The Bigs" was probably avoided on clearance, and shipped straight to Goodwill. That game could easily be a Fox reality special: "When big franchises refuse licensing to mediocre games!"

I did not scan it but my store has like 5 im waiting for it to drop to have it sealed since I beat it many times, also want to pick one up for my friend that is yet to play it because hes a cheapass and wont pay the used or new price for it ha ha.
 
The Bigs was on clearance a month or so ago, along with MotoGP '07. Both have since gone off clearance, The Bigs going to 19.99 and MotoGP '07 to $29.99.

Surprising that it hasen't dropped at all at your store if it has 5 copies. I would have figured it was only the stores that are sitting on 1-2 copies that are still holding strong at the $50 price.
 
I went to my parents' house for the holiday weekend and hit up the TRU on the way there So as a service to my fellow CAGs (and since I've gotten my fair share of cheap games because of this site), if anyone wants any of the following, PM me and I can pick you up a copy and sell it to you for cost+tax(8.75%) and shipping (and anything else you want to kick down for gas and time ;))... they had a few copies of each:

Farcry Instincts 360 ($5)
Splinter Cell Double Agent PS3/360 ($5)
All Pro Football 2K8 PS3 (not sure how much this was, but I saw a stack of them)
The Outfit 360 ($5)

I bought a copy of Splinter Cell for myself, but it didn't take the 20% off, so I don't know what the deal with that was.
 
Picked up :360: Nyko Power Kit(ie 3rd party PlaynCharge) for $4.

OT: also picked up some StormHawk figures for $1.52 each. Those'll make nice gifts for my little cousins
