Edit by Io - The most recent (1/26) drops are in the very beginning of the second post, so look there first!

------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT -- Feb 4th
Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

Don't forget to post your trade wishes and wants in the Official TRU Trading Thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121672

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

I've returned games I ordered online in store before, but never one that was on clearance in store. Maybe I'll try it out as an experiment and report on my results.

Picked up few games yesterday.
Geometry wars (DS) $7.98
Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus & Fire (DS) $7.98
Taito Legend 2 (PS2) $5
Raw Danger (PS2) $5

Also scored few 20% off coupon booklet for next week. I'll come back & get Virtua Fighter 5 & couple 360 games with 20% off :)

Did they refund you your shipping charges? Also, did they refund you in store credit or your original method of payment?

I ordered something during the TRU.com glitch and it dropped in price and no matter how many times I call them, they won't do a price adjustment. I might as well return it if I can get my money back.

Please keep us updated.

I can't remember if they refunded the shipping cost or not - it was over a year ago. They only give store credit for items ordered online (per the website), but I have two small kids (and a severe Lego habit) so that won't deter me. I placed an order this morning and may try to return RE4 (Wii) to see what happens. I also read that some items can only be returned to the TRU distribution center (I would have to ship them back), and the clearance games may fall in that category of not being able to return to the store. I'll find out when my games arrive.
just grabbed Monster Madness for $9.98, 99 Nights for $9.98 and Virtua Tennis 3 for $9.48... all are 360 games. not bad...
they should've each been $7.98. isn't the 20% off promo still good thru today?

It's good until 8/16.

oh yeah... duh. i had the stickered boxes in front of me, but yeah, the 20% off prices did come up. sorry for the confusion.

there was a two week orgy of awesome price drops happening there, and then it kinda fizzled out. funny how that happens. here's hoping we get some more all-star drops over the next few weeks.
I hate to break the news again this week, but my store again, will have no clearance drops for Monday 8/11.
Thanks for the update though! I appreciate all your help so far!
I didn't see it posted in the OP, but LoZ Twilight Princess for *GC* is $9.90 (7.96 after discount). Picked up a couple myself.
Nice. Its hard to find the GC version, but it is on clearence. Can only find the Wii version at my TRU
This list is great....I went yesterday and Prey was $5 and Dead Rising was $9.98 (before the 20% off)
Wait...so Dead Rising has officially gone into clearance now? Can anyone confirm this? It still rings up online as $29.99. I know not all the clearance games ring up right online, but most do. I'd like to jump on this if it is true, but nobody has mentioned it until now and so I'm thinkin that this ain't legit. Anybody know?
stilllllll caaaaaaant fiiiiiiind planet puzzle leagueeee!!!!! :bomb:
I found a copy on the first day it was clearanced, haven't seen it in a store since.

The TRU that I went to today is renovating. The first thing I noticed is that they got rid of the "R Zone". All the games are now in a glass case along the walls. They have a glass counter at the register where they have all the systems on display along with other electronics. It felt weird. They must have cleaned out the back room since I found a copy of Donkey Kong: BB Wii for $7.98. :D

Is there any major differences? I was originally waiting to pick it up for the Wii when it dropped in price but wound up finding this gem of a deal. Worth playing or should I trade em and rent the Wii version?

i'd stick with the GC version. the controls on the wii get annoying after a while.

Got this stuff yesterday at tru for $7.98 each:

Magical Starsign (DS)
Gurumin (PSP)
Virtua Tennis 3 (PSP)
Yakuza (PS2)
Infected (PSP)
Mortal Kombat Unchained (PSP)

Yakuza, Infected, and Mortal Kombat were behind the counter, which i failed to check previously.

my shipping label said GAMES CANT NOT BE RETURNED TO STORE. I may try it cause i dont want to pay SHIPPING BACK TO THEM and i have no use for the games anymore

Riveria and wiid arms xf for 43 bucks isnt a deal since both games fell to sub 20

is this the one in bay shore? i got splinter cell da for xbox for 4.xx there the other day.

You're annoying after a while.

I like the Wii version better, but considering the deal... I'd play the GC version.
You're annoying after a while.
Why is it every Wii fanboy uses the same sort of retort? "The Wii sucks." "YOUR MOM!" Get over it, it's a gimmick system that will get lumped with the Virtual Boy.

Meanwhile.. My local TRU just dropped a bunch of titles to 4.xx from 9.xx. It's my understanding that MK Unchained dropped, and they pretty much dropped all the original Xbox games out of the system today. Extremely YMMV perhaps? Who knows. There's a new national drop one way or the other soon enough.

Oooh! BUUUURN! How about, your mama's annoying after awhile!

edit: jaysapathy beat me to it :p

Anyway, for the price the Gamecube one IS a good deal. The only major difference I know of between the Wii and GCN versions is that the Wii version was mirrored, because Link is a lefty and most people are right-handed, and apparently it was distracting to see movements carried out left-handedly. So the entire game is mirrored for the Wii.
I liked the Wii controls. Took some time to get used to, and not everything works perfect, but I thought after a bit it blended so well that I forgot I was using motion controls.

I asked my TRU about that and they said they'd give you store credit as long as they still sell the item in their store. Also, they will not refund you your original shipping cost. I'd check with your own store to be sure, though.

well seems im stuck with them then.... They never carried either in store and they said i had to pay for shipping back 6 bucks...

So its return them and get a credit for 30ish or keep them

TRU is matching the Best Buy price on Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Wii, $20. They had one of those shelf tags for it. Picked one up today in National City, CA when my local BB sold out.

personal preference. don't get your panties in a bunch fanboy.
is this the one in bay shore? i got splinter cell da for xbox for 4.xx there the other day.
No. This was in LA. The TRU on La Cienega and the 10 freeway. Maybe all TRUs will eventually have this layout.

FYI: I ordered Resident Evil 4 and Rune Factory online and I cannot return them to the store. So ordering in-store clearance games online to return to the store does not work (at least for these games).
Piocross Ds was in the Bay Area Ca for $7.. something cause all video games in the bins here have an extra 20% off ^_-
yeah, it's all TRU stores until 8/16.

I think a lot of games that were on clearance were taken off clearance.

A TRU I was at a few weeks ago had a huge bin of clearance games, they are all gone. It was mostly garbage so I doubt it was all sold. But what confirms games taken off clearance is games I saw in the regular section.

Marvel Trading Card game for PSP was tagged at $14.99 on the shelf divider tag, it was tagged over a $9.98 tag so it wasn't that the store wasn't up to date on correctly tagging stuff. I also saw the PS2 games in a gift package had a shelf tag of $14.99. Blitz for PSP was tagged $9.98 in the glass case. It scanned for $14.99 (less the 20% off since it was a clearance game). They honored the $9.98 price since the shelf tag said $9.98 but that wa sanother game taken off clearance.

I imagine it goes something like this:
TRU Head-Honcho: Nobody's buying our games! We shall clearance them out!
(man runs in w/paper in hand): Since the clearance, those select games are selling like crazy!
TRU HH: RAISE THE PRICES!

I don't get WHY companies think this will work, and it happens A LOT. I DIDN'T buy the game when it was $20, I wanted it when it was $8. Returning it to $20 is not going to make me think, "Well, I want it and I'm already here, I might as well just buy it for whatever it is now tagged." I'm not that stupid to NOT notice when a game is suddenly more expensive.

I think a lot of other people must do this though, or I can't imagine why they raise prices back up. I always assumed clearancing was to get people in the store to possibly buy other crap they never intended to (this, also, does not work on me... moooost of the time).

Found the following yesterday:
Yakuza - $ 7.98
Splinter Cell DA - Wii - $ 7.98 (PM me if anybody wants it, just pay $ 7.98 + 8.255 tax and shipping)

It doesn't work on me either, unless I happen to find other items on clearance that I didn't know about.

The worst is when a store clearances an item down to under $5, then the game goes greatest hits/platinum hits and they restock it at $19.99 or $29.99. Who was going to pay $20 for Hot Shots Golf on PSP at Sears when a few weeks before it was restocked it was $2.97.
