Official voter fraud/suppression/illegal stuff thread

Ruined

CAGiversary!
Probably going to be lots of claims about this today, (and most of them probably will be BS) so why don't we put it all in one thread.

i'll start :)

This is really disapointing, It 11 and theres already about 10 lawsuits being filed dues to fraud and voter/party intimidation

Voting should just be made mandatory. You can't suppress the vote then because everyone must vote

The amazing thing about this theory is it's been done. It was done in the USSR, GDR (East Germany), Poland, Czechoslovokia, Romania and even Saddam Hussein's Iraq had mandatory voting. That's how all those people legitimized themselves.

Don't you recall before we invaded that Saddam Hussein won 100% of the vote?

Way to restrict freedom by forcing behavior on people. Oh, but you're obviously only concerned with the best interests of the people... like everyone else that wants to make any social activity "mandatory". Voting must be "for their own good" and only highly intelligent people like you can tell people how dumb they truly are unless they do what you say.

Hopefully PAD will be so busy flaming this small forum and threatening Muslims and black people at the local polls that he doesn't get a chance to vote.

Then you'd better have a basic comprehension of the issues quiz before you let anyone vote, and let them write in "none of the above".

Winning 100% of the vote does not mean everyone voted. It means all of the votes went one way. How does making voting mandatory tell people they are dumb? If anything, you are just showing how dumb you are PAD.

If you had a basic comprehension test before you voted, most of Bush's supporters wouldn't be allowed to vote. A lot of them still think that Iraq had WMD's and Saddam was involved with 9/11

Wow, which one of us trained with former East German officers that were now in the Bundeswher? Which one of us trained with former Soviet Shock Army officers? I'm guessing.... it's not you.

They told me that party officials knocked on every door, "Come comrade, it is time to come do your duty and show support for the Party! The Party needs support of all loyal Germans/Russians!" They would take people on hospital gurneys to vote.

Of course there was an opposition box on the other side of the hall/gym and you could make that long, long walk.

Dumb? Sorry, why don't you like people questioning you? Why can't you bear to be told that totalitarian states are the societies that insist on 100% elections? Dumb? Who's the ignorant one?

Did you ever go to the GDR? Chances are you didn't, I did. Did you ever see the USSR in the Bad Old Days? Chance are you didn't, I did.

Freedom isn't being told what to do due to civic responsibility. You're the same kind of crybaby that would cry until dawn if they got drafted, you'd run away, you'd do anything but serve your country. When it comes to imposing things on people damn.... are you lefties first in line if its in line with what you want.

Call me dumb all you want, I know the system of which I speak, I saw it first hand. I talked with party officials. You'd a dumb hockey helmet wearing retard spewing forth stuff which he knows nothing about.

you also don't address the fact that Australia has mandatory voting.

From dailykos.com regarding the Philly voting machines:

Philadelphia fraud - DEBUNKED
by Karma Mechanic
Tue Nov 2nd, 2004 at 16:03:55 GMT

(From the diaries. This is funny -- kos)

I just heard Santorum on John Gambling's radio show. He says the Republicans will be going to court in order to impound the voting machines in Philadelphia that supposedly had votes in them before the polls opened. I assume the Republicans have resigned themselves to losing this election legally so they are going to try and  steal it illegally - again. There you have it folks. Unless Kerry wins in a landslide tonight we are going to be in court for months.

Update:

Now the idiots on the radio have just updated the retarted Drudge report about the voting machines. It seems the machines have counters in the back of them that don't count the number of votes but how many times the voting machines have been used in an election. So there is no voter fraud in Philadelphia. What was that George Bush said about people who take action before they know the facts? Please people, vote out of office any and all republicans today.

Update (Kos): Josh has a good post on GOP agitprop as Republicans try to lay the foundation for legal challenges if this thing stays close.
To start with, for instance, don't rely on right-wing agit-prop sites for your news about alleged instances of 'voter fraud'. Wait till you hear real information from real news outlets.
And how many times does Drudge have to be wrong before you people stop taking what he says seriously?

The neat thing about freedom in a free society is that you can take a shit when you want to. You can fart when you want to, shower, eat, work, sleep, and VOTE when you want to ! What is it about the concept of FREEDOM that you don't understand ?
