Official What Movies Do You Want To Come Out On Blu Ray Thread!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Kill Bill the Whole Bloody Affair, Alien, all the wes anderson movies, Trainspotting, Wizard of Oz

Star Wars OT(and the prequels I guess)
Lord of the Rings
The Matrix(by itself)
Goodfellas(a better transfer)
Scarface (Would love the Godfather treatment for this one)
Kill Bill 1 and 2 together(directors cut)
Pulp Fiction
Indiana Jones Trilogy(it should have only been a trilogy)
Saving Private Ryan(Normandy invasion was one of the best demos for DVD. I remember seeing this film in theaters and the sound was amazing!)
Hard Boiled and The Killer(John Woo at his finest these two need updated)

Those are all I can think of at the moment.

Eternal sunshine of the Spotless Mind, before I break down and buy the Japanese version
Star Wars
and a bunch of TV series

Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Star Wars--both trilogies, but the OT much more of coruse.

Pulp Fiction.

That's probably about all of the stuff I have on DVD that I'd upgrade that's not on Blu Ray already.

Lord of the rings odds are will tie in with some Peter Jackson film later on down the road.. @_@

The crow is available for import, I could swear Equilibrium is too...

Advent Children I'm fairly certain well see as well.

Sin City is available in canada for cheap, but its a pretty crappy release.

Xmen/Xmen 2 will come out when Wolverine's solo movie hits blu-ray I can almost bet on that one.

Willow

also..

Lord of the Rings
Seven
Saving Private Ryan

Fight Club
Leon (The Professional)
Gladiator
The Silence of the Lambs
Jurassic Park
Snatch
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Tons more

I'm trying to clear out my final HD-DVD's, so I would like to see:

Smokin Aces
Accepted
Dazed & Confused (preferably the Criterion)
Meet the Parents
Meet the Fockers
The Bourne Collection (I know it is already coming out)
Billy Madison
Mallrats
Happy Gilmore

For movies not released yet:
Chasing Amy
Grandma's Boy
Along Came Polly
Just Friends
Big Daddy
Back to the Future Trilogy
Star Wars (all six)
Rocky II - V
Armageddon
Lethal Weapon 3 & 4 (Preferably a box set with new transfers of all four)
Blade Trilogy
Commando (Director's Cut Version)
Total Recall (Updated transfer if possible)
True Lies
Raw Deal
PCU (Just a movie I always loved)
Little Nicky
The Girl Next Door
Get Shorty
Be Cool
Varsity Blues
Die Hard (Updated transfer if possible)

As for Television on Blu Ray:
Alias Series
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series
Smallville (Seasons 1 - 5)
Chuck (an updated transfer)
House (all seasons)
South Park (depending on how season 12 looks in blu, I wouldn't mind some of the older seasons as well).
The Office (All seasons)
Entourage (All Seasons)

And if they could somehow look better on Blu Ray (Not sure how it would work) I would like to see:

Friends (Seasons 1-10)
Two Guys and a Girl (a show I always loved that was never even released on DVD, so I'm sure it will never be out on Blu Ray).
King of Queens (all seasons, but especially the ones shot in HD).

Off the top of my head:

Jurassic Park
Kill Bill: Whole Bloody Affair
Grindhouse: Theatrical Double-Feature
Tombstone
The Blues Brothers
Spirited Away
Sergio Leone westerns
More of the Disney classics too, they come out to infrequently!

Ace Ventura
Scream (Series)
Aladdin (prob the only disney movie i would get)
Rocky 2-5 ( with hopefully better transfers that the 1st one)

wow.

A lot of people have been mentioning Pulp Fiction and Sin City, they are both coming out this year.

So if Friday the 13th, someone else mentioned that too

Mullholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me....... I think you see where im going with this

LOTR: FOTR has been shown on a WB flier to be coming in 2009. Every other film on that flier has either come out already or is at least announced I believe. No word on the others but hopefully they come in quick succession.

Advent Children will be out in Japan soon, but not yet.

Equilibrium is out in the UK. Haven't heard anything about PQ/AQ but it is region free.

From what I've heard the AQ/PQ on the Alliance release of Sin City is right up there among the best on Blu. link 1 | link 2

Its a 4/5 at best, its mainly black/white with a few color thrown in. You can't give a movie black/white top tier because of that!

Yeah well we've been seeing ads for BAD BOYS 1/2 for what? Two years now :(

Lynch fan I presume.

all I can think of off the top of my head currently.

Unless they're making a bad boys 3 (which I doubt), theyll probably get released when a new will smith/martin lawrence film hits the shelves..

You may get lucky and see the Star Trek Films come to blu-ray when the new one hits shelves next year..

you got it , mullholland drive is number one on my list, but seeing as lynch isnt the easiest to convince to do special editions i doubt ill see any of these on blu ray anytime soon

Children of Men. It's been on HDDVD forever, but it's taking it's time to Blu-Ray!

I don't really want any older movies to transfer over to Blu-Ray unless they really up the video quality and add some BD Live features. It seems kind of worthless to fork over more money for an older movie on Blu-Ray to look slightly better than it's DVD counterpart.

EDIT: Hmm, nevermind. I see Children of Men was released on December 2nd, 2008 on Amazon. It's a bit too pricey at $31.99 and it's also out of stock. This may be an import actually...

Maybe a Guy Ritchie collection on Blu-Ray (Snatch, Lock Stock, etc.) when Rock n Rolla comes out.

Is the "unedited" version of Kung Fu Hustle worth it? Just recently bought Kung Fu Hustle on Blu-Ray and loved it. Wonder if Shaolin Soccer made it to BD yet...
