This IS the official cable from microsoft that usually cost around $50.

I bought this item from deepdiscount a while back and it works perfectly fine. Shipped within a week. If any of you have a lcd monitor then get this cable! It comes with adapters and everything. ;)

It may also be worth noting that if you are lucky you can find these same cables used at Gamestop for $10. Check your local stores first before dropping more cash than necessary.
 
Some people dont always prefer buying used items because its cheaper. And how can you trust a used cable? The pins are probably messed up or something. I wouldnt trust buying a used calbe.

Agreed. Plus, these retail for $39.99.... not *that* great of a deal really. Thanks anyway though; every bit helps.
 
your welcome. Well its for those who go to stores and see the ridiculously over priced xbox360 hardware. Lol i saw the wireless adapter at Bestbuy for a $100. What a rip off. And the HD cable was $50 with out tax.

Seriously just try to find the MS VGA cable at EBStop. I got mine there, as did my brother(in another state) and I've had ZERO problems with the used cable. Plus even *if* there were problems with a used VGA cable, you're out nothing becuase of EBStop's 7 day guarantee.

So this is NOT a deal, maybe s_s is a shill?

i bought the microsoft branded vga cable brand new...and i must say...even tho it was better than the 3rd party vga....the picture quality does not improve much from the component....as far as games go....the brightness gets jacked up....the color goes haywire....you need to adjust your tv to the teeth to make it watchable...

as far as using it to upconvert your dvds using the HD addon...works great...thats the only reason why i'm keeping it....

I bought mine used at GS and have had no problems in the year that I've had the cables. I was just throwing it out there for people who were interested before they drop over 30 bucks. Just because you don't like used cables doesn't mean nobody will.
 
Well that being said again. IF someone found this thread or wanted to buy a cable that was new than they can take up this offer. Yes people can buy it used and it would probably work fine, but as i said for those who want it new.

And in theory you could go to every thread and say "i can get that for cheaper used" but its all relative.

Why not go to threads that offers new consoles when you could say "get that for used its cheaper and it works fine".

Get what im saying?

Sort of a good point.... although there is FAR more that could go wrong with a console ('specially a 360) than a simple vga cable.

I think the 360 by itself upconverts regular DVD's. The HD-DVD drive isn't necessary. At least, that's been my understanding. I could be wrong because for some reason I can never find a straight answer about upconverting with the 360...

With a VGA cable it upconverts to 720p. You don't need the hd-dvd drive.
