Let's take a step back before accusing of scamming you.How many days has it been since payment has been made?Has he responded to any of your PMs?Could be he's been busy and unable to reply and lastly I just checked and you have higher feedback so he should have been the one to go first.

It's been 3 days which is more than enough time. He's been online and ignores my PMs. No response

Usually when buying, the purchaser goes first.

I will just say that I never did hear back from the seller when I inquired about a purchase. My PM to him came just two hours after he made his initial post. For what its worth, it always frustrates me when I don't hear back; just tell me you've made other arrangements - that's totally fine.

With the post still having been up, though, and the poster having been online...I wondered if there was something else going on...

Nope. Who ever has the highest feedback goes first. No matter if purchasing or selling. You made a mistake and got taken man. That suggestion is in place for a reason.

Yeah, they were pulling the same scam in the PSN thread.

I offered to buy, but insisted they go first because of the vast feedback difference.

They offered to go half and half which I was amenable to, luckily they took too fucking long to respond and I ended up just buying the PSN credit for full price.

Glad I dodged that bullet, thanks for posting.

Remember kids, if there's a huge difference in feedback, there's nothing wrong with insisting they go first.

Yup, I always ask people to go first if they feedback is lower than mine, no matter if I am selling or buying , and I have sent it first to anyone with a higher feedback than mine, it is the rule of the thumb afterall , we have gained our trust here

Sheesh. Now you tell me.

I can't think of a single time I've been burned on a deal at CAG... you guys have been remarkably consistent. I haven't needed to ask any sellers to ship or email first... hell, sometimes they'll do it without me even asking, even though they've got a lot more feedback.

Then again, I choose my transactions carefully. If someone just randomly appears offering $50 of PSN credit for $40, and has only a couple of trades to his name, that's a pretty clear sign that they're going to screw me over in the trade. I guess the moral of the story is be cheap, but also be cautious, and don't get greedy. If it looks too good to be true, all you're going to get out of that deal is a hot beef injection.
