I just got back from my local CC in Canton, OH. Here, at least, they had just put games into a bin and they're all $4.99.

There were a few sports games for each system, but I couldn't remember the years. I wasn't exactly looking for Xbox or GC, but those are what I remember. I'll add more if I think of them. This a great deal, check your CC, I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but I hope so.

Change prices? Not that i know of. We dont have an official list or anything, at least not yet. If one does comin in, id be more than happy to relay it to you guys. As for now, its pretty much guess and check.
 
Yeah but that's the weird thing about "Syberia", it's got no GH version and I got "$19.99". As for the GH thing there IS a difference. I had two copies of Obi-Wan checked and the NON GH version came up at $4.99.

Also I have another game to add to the list. I'm ASSUMING this one because it's old like "Shadow Hearts" but once you read it you'll understand. "Guitarooman". :D
 
I work again tomorrow, the store opens at 11am and closes at 7pm, no special times even for the 4th, and im assuming its going to be dead in the store, so i'll have plenty of time to check some games.

Anybody here check the Long Island CC's?? I just read the first page and went to 1 CC and I didn't see any bins so I just grabbed Freaky Flyers(listed at $7.96) off the shelf and had it checked and it came up $4.99, but I didn't buy it cuz it was only $7.96. I'll be back at 11am sharp tomorrow with my 4 page list to check what I can get. If all checks right, then I'll probably end up with $300 worth of games in 1 trip.

i say still head out to your loca cc as soon as yuo can tomorrow cause alot of peopl are out of town(holiday) so its still worth a shot cc will open at 11am and we close at 7pm
 
I went out to check one more CC but there were a few guys there before me who completly cleared the place out. I wish my list was magical and would have been updating as i was going around today, cuz I didnt bother to scan some that were 4.99:( I wish I would have found Shining Soul, Disgaea or Viewtiful Joe, all the games that I found were just mediocre.
 
I completely agree with the magical updating list. I was so pissed to find a list twice as long as the first after my first trip to CC.

For some of you having bad luck... I would advise you to go through the entire shelf. Their ability to stock their shelves in a logical manner is abysmal - which makes it an easter egg hunt more often than not.

When you are ready to check out, ask them if they have the games that you couldnt find in stock. They will look up the games , from their master list, and they may know the location of a certain game you couldnt find after all , or whether you were looking for something that simply wasnt there anyway.

People are greedy and need to buy every single thing they see. Oh well. Hopefully that bites them in the ass the next time something like this happens and they miss out.
 
Dead or Alive 3 is $4.99

I just got back from the Modesto, CA CC and had them scan about 10 games. I ended up with DOA3 and Spyhunter2 for $10. Not bad. I might go to another tomorrow.
 
To clear a few things up:

Yes we're open 11-7 on Sundays.
It's a special that was supposed to start on the 11th and last till the 21st. As far as I know it'll still last till the 21st. My store is now limiting people to 2 games only after people came in and got 15 or so. If you want to be a crybaby about it ask for the corporate number and the store's number and usually the managers will let you have whatever. Don't give us regular red shirts a hard time :(

Acronyms are so cool. So I went to Circuit City today to pick out some games. I saw they had frequency, and noticed that Frequency was a pretty old game. I remembered CC often drops their prices, so I had them price-check. The sticker said $32, and the cashier lady looked at me funny, but sure enough it rang up for $5.

Not too shabby.
 
Actually I've been curtious and appreciative to CC people and they've shown me no beef ya know?
Oh btw I KNOW why CC is REALLY doing the sale at this time! It's because it's a conspiracy to screw our CA leader out of a GREAT sale. X-( ;-P
Seriously though may we hold our heads for Cheapy here for a second? ;-)

What did you get and which CC did you go to? I'm from toledo also..
 
Hair6a11: I was commenting about CCs inability to keep games in a logical order as well to my wife, however, I realized that this was the saving grace to a sale like this. Some of the titles I found were so buried that people looking at the front copies only missed the gems buried in the back. In fact, 4 of the games I found were in the back of stacks in odd places (but near their alphabetical area). It looked like people had tried to hide them, or their age/popularity just worked them back there. In any case, the whack order was a good thing.

I did see some ninja like flipping skills by other CAGs while at a few CC locations though so it certainly didn't deter people. I didn't even bother going through an area this one guy was hax0ring as I knew (judging by his stack) that if it was $5, it was gone.

btw there were other cheapssgamers the same time I went they had a whole list in their mid 20, early 30 ish this guy bought around 30 games. :lol: This one was nice enough to let 2 other guys check out the list.
 
I'm going to San Diego tomorrow, so if I have time, I'm going to find a Circuit City and see if they have any games left, and then on Monday, I'll go to the other Circuit City near where I live hoping to find something.

If there's another Toledo CC let me know. I went to the one near Franklin Park mall.

The only gem I found was Disgaea. There are no more Rez's there. I can garauntee you that. I picked up the last two for $25 each when we had that last blowout sale.
 
I THOUGHT I checked that and it rang up $4.99, I KNOW the PS2 version rang up $4.99. I'll recheck it for you when I go tomorrow ok DX?

Some of this stuff is screwy. I SWEAR it depends on what sticker they scan or whatever. Could someone clarify this?
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but he probably went to the CC near Westfield Shopping Town(formerly Franklin Park Mall), which is next door to Barnes and Noble's.

There aren't many people , even HERE willing to go through the entire store. But thats the teenager for you (impatient)
