There were a few sports games for each system, but I couldn't remember the years. I wasn't exactly looking for Xbox or GC, but those are what I remember. I'll add more if I think of them. This a great deal, check your CC, I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but I hope so.

DaPhatty Edit - I've unstickied this thread since the list at the front of the page was outdated. The current list is posted here.

Please continue the discussions there.

dammit all, I made 3 trips today, now Sword of Mana is supposedly $4.99, yet one person says it's not, can anyone else confirm this.

I got a total of 18 titles:
2x Megaman x7
Chaos Legion
The Bouncer
P the rapper 2
Rygar
Frequency
GGX
Zoe:2
Street Fighter EX 3
Disgaea

Also while me and my buddy where at CC we used their internet station to print the most current list for our search. Best CheapAss deal I have gotten so far. Hopefully I can find the AAA titles I didn't have on my list at 8pm est tommorow. (with 3 CC in a 30 minute drive I'm sure I can get more)

How many posts do you think this topic can go for. My thinking is that it'll go in upwards of 600 or 750. The Rock88, i think that CC are open on July 4th (independance day) or at least mine are.

Thanks for taking the time to search for the nearest locations near Carlsbad, but I was way ahead of you. I already searched for the nearest locations near Carlsbad.

After I asked someone to check a couple games for me today,he started scanning all the games afterwords.. and the employee's started making piles behind the counter of the games they wanted... But I did manage to get 10 games..and then lost my reciept.. x.x; which is bad 'cause some of the games I'm still deciding if I want or not!

Not bad. I went before the GC and GBA lists were up, so i will be going again tomorrow

i went b4 the gba games were up as well

i still havent seen anyone else grab tactics ogre, breath of fire 2, or lunar legend....i got my hands on them....one out of the four ccs that i went to actually knew about the deal and they were scanning EVERY game so they could tag them correctly

here's what happened to me:

at about 6:15 i was at work and decided to check this site because i was bored and maybe i'd find something interesting. well, i saw the $5 game thread (it was only up to 4 pages at the time) and my soul was crushed since i was at work and wouldn't be leaving until 9. the fun part is that i showed my manager, who then told me to go to circuit city. so i drove to the nearest one (13 and little mack for those who care) and picked up a few games. about 6. since the list i had wasn't very comprehensive, me and an employee actually started checking a bunch of the games we though may have been on sale together. after i was satisfied (and figured i had spent enough time away from work) i tried to check out and leave, but the girl at the register wouldn't sell me the games. 15 minutes later, after her running in back and doing whatever the hell she was doing, she comes back out and rings me up like nothing ever happened. whatever.

so i go back to work, and my manager says "where's disgaea?". since i didn't get it at that one, he sent me to another one even further away, where i ended up getting 6 more games (but still no disgaea). so in the end, i spent two hours of work traveling around attempting to buy cheap games for me and my manager, and i got paid for it.

i got:
-mega man x7
-p.n. 03
-wheel of fortune
-freedom fighters
-voodoo vince
-clock tower 3
-rygar
-devil may cry 2
-bloody roar 4

fun stuff. but now i have to go back tomorrow with the more complete list.

lot of games where bought back in January when CC
had there price error .where that buy 3 and get $20 off
mixed in with the 50% off promo making games
$3.32
thats why alot of the titles are gone

k dont see anything about the $5 dollar games in the ad

Well, yeah, they still have the price tags as normal, but they scan differently, in case you are wondering.

If they did have them advertised as 4.99, I guarantee you nothing would be left! Well, maybe one really bad game, MAYBE.

I might go back tomorrow with a complete list, but I'm not sure yet, I don't think anything else on the list interests me.

I wonder why CC doesn't advertise these. Imagine iof they ran TV ads about these deals. Displayed them prominently. They would KILL Best Buy. I always find better selection, better service, and better prices at CC compared to BB. Every store is different of course, and there are a ton of bad stories too. But overall they usually beat BB.

Yet BB sells more because they have better "commercials." If CC promoted this like crazy, or pre-printed a list of these sales in papers, imgine the rush. The thruth is, the Cag's and FW combined are a very small segment of their shoppers.

All I know is, at least for one day, CC ruled them all.

You bought all of those? :?

I can't even tell what half of those are, but that must have costed well over a few hundred dollars, though, I assume you saved about, well, a LOT of money. I bet other CAGers in your area won't be too happy...

Okay, that's just raw greed there

Are they all different? or did you just clear off the shelves? Because if you just got one copy of every game or even two copies of a couple games but mostly one copy that's reasonable.

HOLY SH!T

$1500? That's 300 games.

How many CC did you have to go to? And where?

Jesus. Even if I bought every game at every CC I visited that was on the list, I would've only spend $300.

thats not even all of them
i spent 1500 today

...

That is all I have to say, now it seems like you're lying. No one in their right mind could find all of those, or spend 1,500 dollars on a bunch of games, what's the need in 20 copies of NBA Live 2003? Just an example, but I don't think what you're saying is true about you spending 1,500 dollars on a bunch of 4.99 games...

And if it is, I can honestly call you greedy, and rich. Very, very rich.

You could get a LOT of trade in cred at EB or GS.

And I was going to San Diego and I'd thought I should check some Circuit Citys their.

Do you live near Carlsbad?

Hes probrobly an ebay seller or something. I would love to spend all the money I have and make it all back two fold but that just wont happen.

I cant stop thinking of Circuit City now. I have to go back there tomorrow. I still have $40 in my pocket! And i could ask for an early bday present from my brother.

Here's what I got:

GGX2
DMC2
Chaos Legion
Red Faction 2
Clock Tower 3
Activision Anthology
ZOE:2
Ape Escape 2
Tenchu 3
Deus Ex
No One Lives Forever
Timesplitters 2
Dark Cloud 2

GC - Bomberman Generations

GBA - Phantasy Star Collection

I went by my friend's house since he lives close to CC, then went back to the store with him; he got 56 games total. They had to ring it up on 4 separate receipts. There were 3 CC employees ringing up games and removing them from cases. They were very helpful. They showed us the complete list of 4.99 games on the computer and helped me find them on the rack.

I also saw a fellow CAG on my second trip, but I didn't get his screen name.

there is something wrong when someone who just joined on july 4, 2004 thinks it's ok to post something like that. if you want to make some extra money from this, i can understand that, but don't come here and brag about it when many of us won't be able to find certain games that we really want.

You get like 1.50 for each copy of old sports games it seems, and regardless, now he's saying he got 1,000 more before this: I just don't believe him any more.

Hate to sound rude, but he also only has like 5 posts and just signed up, I've been on boards where newbies try to make themselves seem impressive by lying about certain things to look better.

I'm not straight-up calling you a liar, well, maybe I am, but I can, because what you're saying now just sounds like fiction.

Plus you now have a reputation as a greedy bastard, welcome to the team.

I really don't see how, well, however many CC's are in San Diego, can have all of those games for 4.99, I barely found enough to equal a total of 40 dollars, if that.

hahaha - maybe that's why the selection sucked the later it got in the day in San Diego. If these were from the southern stores, I bet I saw you in action. There were a few select individuals throwing *.* in baskets at rapid pace. Oh well. I was thinking of going back for Morrowind and Roadkill, but that pic just made my decision for me.
