DaPhatty Edit - I've unstickied this thread since the list at the front of the page was outdated. The current list is posted here.

Please continue the discussions there.
I would like to really thank the one customer who let me copy the list he brought in that was posted on here. I never knew about this site until today but I will be coming back for now on. :)
If you're talking about the Bloomington, MN store, that would've been me. :)

I'll be heading over there tomorrow (gotta run by BB anyaway to return a few things) is there anything you folks need?

there was no VJ, PSO, Disgaea, Rez, Ikaruga or MvC2

I just got back from a town near San Diego called Carlsbad to help my aunt and her family move in, and there were 3 Circuit City's near by, I went to one around 7:00 PM and it was closed. I was so pissed off.

My aunt's husband and I didn't even bother to go to the other 2. I'm so upset. Now all I have left is a Circuit City near me that I'll go tomorrow. I wish my mom or my sister had taken me Saturday night. I'm pissed at my mom for not taking me, and I'll be pissed at my sister for not taking when she gets home.

I'm glad some of you guys got the games you wanted, all I ended up were with 3 games that I got yesterday.
i picked out 51 games [52 if you count the one some guy stole from my stack while i was looking at other games... and also no dupes]...right before i was gonna bring all those games to check out, an employee comes up to me and says that the manager just said that theres a limit of 3 per person..i was like "dam, i spent like an hour lookin for all those"...anyway i walked out with 9 games cause i had 2 friends with me..i got..

GREAT DEALS!

40,000 views and 1000 posts. that means 1 out of 40 people post approx of course. people near chicago IL better not cross my path tomorrow lol. I saw like 2 CAG'ers today at a CC.

I went in with the looking for the 3 games i wanted and bought those 3. no more. Another guy wanted a few specific games which they didn't have and he didn't get any. The selection was good too but I guess CAG in Colorado aren't so greedy.
anyone who bought more than 6 games is a prick and a half.
Um sorry to say but NO. You're just upset that you didn't get the games that you wanted. I bought 24 games and no duplicates... I left multiple copies there for others because I know how to share. I even helped others find games that they wanted, needed, or weren't aware of. So shut yer mouth, don't start no *s*h*i*t*, won't be no *s*h*i*t*.

You're in COLORADO!?!?! What's yer AIM name. I'm in Colorado too! Westminster, and I got 24 games there. But the store is pissed so they made a new rule, 5 per customer.

seems most people are pissed rare and hard to find games where not in the store..Most stores did not even have them.plus 80% of that list are older games which have not been stocked in month's.
you make it sound like every store before the sale had 10 copies of each
and someone beat you to it.

damn I think everytime i see your name it will be synonymous with the table full of games! lol

As far as the people buying hundreds of games go...big deal

look at the sticker prices on some of these games..a lot in the $40 range, some even as high as $50

you're getting these titles for an insane discount. You have to have some pretty big grapefruits to think that you have just as much right to those 10 games that someone else got, despite the fact that you arrived at the store later than them.

that would be like demanding a marathon to be re-run after the gun has been fired just because you had to go park the car.

A) noone is entitled to these games...it's a buisness, not a grandmother handing out christmas presents
B) if someone got there before you and bought the game before you gives you no right to that game even though "he's putting it on ebay!"
C) consider yourself lucky you got what you did, because there will always be someone who will feel twords you what you feel twords "that guy who bought the one game i wanted"

my 2 coppers on this whole bitch fest about people wanting to spend their own money and do with their own things what they wish..
I got 11 games from the store in Binghamton. I forgot my list, but lucky the were two guys also looking with a list in hand. Thanks guys.
I think I may have been one of those guys. You're welcome. :D

I managed to pick up:

GBA
Boktai

Gamecube
Mega Man: Network Transmission

PlayStation 2
Guilty Gear X
Parappa the Rapper 2
Black & Bruised
Chaos Legion
Shadow Hearts
RAD

Xbox
Crimson Sea
Dino Crisis 3
Futurama
Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown

I also picked up Castlevania: LOI for 14.99, but I felt almost bad about paying that much for a game. I passed up on a few titles: Top Gun, Frequency, Roadkill, Spy Hunter 2 among others. Unfortunately, no Disgaea or Mario Party 4. :(

C) consider yourself lucky you got what you did, because there will always be someone who will feel twords you what you feel twords "that guy who bought the one game i wanted"

Well, I got nothing. It could be that my CC is chic and started packing away mega early, but I don't know.

All I really want is Dark Cloud 2 :(
Note to Self: MUST GO CC TOMORROW!
I'll be at the one CC in Tulsa I didn't go to at opening. I had them reserve Buffy, but I forgot to pick it up through all of today's festivities.
anyone who bought more than 6 games is a prick and a half.
I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess that you bought 6 games? What do I win?

Of course, if buying > 6 games makes one a prick and a half, buying > 4 games would still make one a prick.

Here's my total haul after a few total hours worth of searching and driving between 3 San Diego locations. I managed to find a few more today that I was interested in.

score2.jpg

There were plenty more games, but I left whatever I truly wasn't going to play on the store shelves for others who may want them. I was suprised to run across GbtG today, in plain view no less.

Roadkill seems to be the most readily available title at every location I went too. I was going to pass, but I just know there's some 'comedy' in it that my little brother would love :) $60 for the stash above is unbelievable....
look at the sticker prices on some of these games..a lot in the $40 range, some even as high as $50
The sticker prices don't mean anything. Som games have $39.99 that would of rang up for $19.99 if this markdown deal wasn't happening. I'm sure almost all games would ring up at least $10.00 less than the sticker price, unless it was newly released.

I had a very similar problem in Dayton, Ohio. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper! If you ever encounter Milt or Turney (two CC male employees/managers), beware!
I said it before, I'll say it again. We make OP Cheapass of the year. Maybe we could get Cheapy to make him a special profile and such. And the sale on the 11th will be advertised, and supposedly re-stocked.
Damn, that's awfully nice of you guys. It's an honor to just help everyone here save lots of money on games.
We should make Crashspyro king. 3 Cheers to the CC sale!
I think we could at least get Defender to change his rank to something better than Newbie.

A couple of things i noticed today that may be helpful to some.

Restocking:
The 1st CC i went to(saturday) i asked about Disgea, the clerk typed it in the computer and it said they had 3 copies left. She look for them but couldn't find them. This leaves me to believe that the rumor about them hording games in the back for the 7/11 sale may be true.

Also there was a huge bin of games that were not in those big plastic cases. The clerk said these all were $4.99 games. A few notables were Midway Arcade Collection, Metal Arms,Devil Dice. I had those scanned but they rang up at regular price. I think these & more may be marked down soon.

Another clerk told me about the Mortal Kombat deadly alliance for the ps2 & xbox were 1 cent like a week ago.

if i go on july 5th im not really going to find anything good am i? damn, if only i knew about this sooner, i was actualy in CC on saturday but had no idea of the sale, this sucks. o well, wish me luck.

Wow there are so many unfamiliar people now. Anyways, Im going back to Circuit City with my $20. Hopefully i can spend it all.

Alright here's the deal.

- The prices are permanent. These games will not go back up in price. So whether it be next week or next year, these games will still be the same price.

- No more replinishments. What a store has is what they will ever have and that's it.

- If a store is putting these games away for the sale, well that store is run by little babies. No store is losing money and since the deal is on our website, it should be available to the public.

Just in case you cant tell, I'm an employee there.

ogmaster: So there's a chance some CC stores won't put it in back?

Maybe tomorrow's planned trip to other CCs isn't a waste after all..

There's a very good chance. For example. today, I went into work and with a half hour of teh door being open, we had ten people in the game department. All the customers that were in the store were in the game department. I told my manager yesterday about what's going on, and he told me today for a little more info. I told him the deal, that the games were being lowered in price, but it was ok. So he was totally fine with it. Once he saw that the store wasnt losing money, he didnt care about it at all. Hell he wanted me to get a few tittles for him and his son.

See, I decided early on, that I was totally going to be dumb about the whole thing. I knew exactly was going on, but I didnt want to give too much info to customers. So where we had budget games, I told people that some were 4.99 others werent and just left it like that, as if I was supirsed. But once my manager heard about everything, he said go ahead and seperate them, get a bin and put the games there. So yeah, my manager was being cool about it. Now other managers, they just dont get it. These are the same managers that freak out when games like Tetri/Clone Wars is only a penny. Either way, most stores are being fine with it, just a few idiot store managers are freaking out.

I work for Circuit City...so I made out on the deal the first day it happened. I check the prices of Xbox games everyday. I just bought 15 xbox games with employee discount. $4.85! Big 14 cents off a clearance price!

There are TOO MANY GAMES to list. Alot dropped to $4.99. For all systems...including GBA and PSX. I am an xbox collector...I have 116 xbox games now.
seems most people are pissed rare and hard to find games where not in the store..Most stores did not even have them.plus 80% of that list are older games which have not been stocked in month's.

Exactly. Across 9 stores I scanned I only saw one copy of Vexx. The same was true for almost half of the games I picked up for my own library. A lot of the stuff I picked for a smallprofit to pay for the rest fell into the 'why did they bother?' category.
No, anyone who bought more than their friends who want them and themself are pricks.

(of the same game)
I regard anyone who gives me a good profit on reselling a game a dear and personal friend, for a good ten minutes at least. So I guess I'm off the hook.

I'd say you are correct sir.

Is it just me or has this wondrous CAG event brought a lot of new members to the site?

We''ll have to get a report from CheapyD upon his return.
