I just got back from my local CC in Canton, OH. Here, at least, they had just put games into a bin and they're all $4.99.

There were a few sports games for each system, but I couldn't remember the years. I wasn't exactly looking for Xbox or GC, but those are what I remember. I'll add more if I think of them. This a great deal, check your CC, I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but I hope so.

Hey, good to see another fellow Vegas CAGer. My experience: I came in 40 mins before closing time, and noticed two employees taking games from the shelves, but were pretty confused about the whole deal. I asked if all the games in the bin were $4.99, and the guy said only the sports games. He then asked me where I found out about the deal, and he gave me this puzzed look when I said CAG. He said he was told to take the games, but he wasn't given a list. I jumped onto CAG and printed out a list for him and his coworkers. I had a list in my pocket already, but it was hand written with only the games I wanted. They were all pretty nice to me. As I was leaving, I noticed somebody else with a list in hand, and even helped him snag a copy of BG&E.
 
Has anyone here found anything good at a CC around southeastern NC? The one here in Wilmington has nothing but I'm not sure about the ones in Jacksonville and Myrtle Beach, SC.
 
Just got back from another trip. Picked up four more games making it 25 total.

All GameCube. Another funny foolish thing. There was this guy putting every 5 dollar game in a cart (like 30 or more). He was saying he was going to call EB and check on the trade in values while standing in CC. If they were less than 5 he was just gonna put them back on the shelf. I had to try hard not to laugh. What a waste.

Any news on this sale for next week? Is there really an ad? Will the stores get more? Any CC employees got the hookup?

All games are gone in the Portland/Metro, Oregon area. There were a few really old ones (PSOne games, Fantavision, misc. junk) in the bins at a few stores, the other stores said they had pulled stock until next Sunday.
 
Visited a few Circuit Citys in Roseville, Troy, Harper Woods, and Auburn Hills today. Wasn't expecting to find much, and I really didn't. You could really tell which games most people didn't know about, though. I still saw numerous copies of PN 03 and Wrestlemania XIX, both for Gamecube. I was also able to snag a couple extra Mario Party 4s at the Auburn Hills location for some trades. Found my first copy of Smuggler's Run Warzones and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger at the Roseville store.

I will be going back to both CCs everyday this week, because I have job orientation and training all week, which is out near both CCs, so I will be making stops there and back everyday this week. I'm also going to check out next Sunday because I am NOT giving up on the ones I wanted most.

Funny, I went to both CCs in Tulsa and had CAGs list for all the $4.99 games next to their checkout in the videogames area. I also saw the same guy in both CCs this morning. First at the one on 71st and then later at the one on 41st. Man that was weird. I also, and I kinda feel bad for this, but he actually had the last copy of Kung Fu Chaos and I was looking for it. He said it was the last copy, so I gave up hope for it. Well, we were both looking some more and I came across Oddworld's Munch's Odyssey....the ONE, main game he went to CC for, and I had the last copy in my hands...so I thought. Well, I showed it to him and he immediately offered Kung Fu Chaos for it and I said sure. So we both ended up with what we wanted, but I went back to look some more after that, and found Oddworld again. lol Strangly odd and a bit wrong, but funny nonetheless.

Another story, the kid's parents had no clue about games...at all. They were dead set in the middle between a PS2 and Xbox. They were talking to an employee about what to get and the advantages of each console. All the guy had to say about the PS2 was its large library...of course. He also mentioned that PS2 needs extra memory cards to save games and an ethernet adapter for online play. Then, he mentioned an Xbox had all that built in, but the kid's Father knew that already, and was already considering the Xbox the better of the two...good man. I let the convo carry on without intervention because it was going the right way. Later on I told them about the $5 games for the Xbox, helped em find some of them, and even gave the kid the last copy of Spy Hunter 2 to buy, because I felt sorry for them not finding any good ones and I already had plenty of just as good and better games in my hands. I also told the parents that the Xbox was the only console with parental controls, because I noticed all the games they wanted to get had to be rated E. I was going to mention it when they were still considering which one to get, but they were already set on getting an Xbox. I felt good after that. I later showed them the last copy of Oddworld, which I again hesitated to buy because the kid may have wanted it, but they had already bought as much as they wanted to buy. Oh yea, another reason for helping them out was the fact his mom was a milf...so....yea. ;)

Also, the woman actually thought I was an employee for a good ten minutes because I was helping them find games, was checking prices on the stack in my arms, and just happened to be wearing a red shirt in the same tone of CC employee's shirts. She was even attempting to take and buy the games I had in my arms, but I said something that made her realize I wasn't an employee. I had no idea she thought I was, I just found it funny that she was actually trying to take the games I was trying to buy....actually thought she was arrogant because of that. Later found out she's nice, after all the confusion. All in all, had a GREAT 2 hour outing to both CCs. Met some new, pretty nice people, found the majority of the games I was looking for, and had great employees helping me out. I'm a happy man today. :D

My jaw dropped when I saw Rez. The store appeared to be ravaged from the good/expensive games. It was in plain view, too. Granted it only caught my eye because the reflection was bright (and it blocked the name... maybe that's why they missed it)
 
i really don't plan on searching all 56 pages but has anyone picked up Pikmin for 4.99? I just wanted to know because I am about to go down and get it if it is legit.

Yeah, people have, I haven't. It's the non players choice version only that rings at $4.99. The players choice version is still reg price.
 
Just got back from CC in Somerville, MA. It was mostly picked clean, but I walked away with Tony Hawk 3 GC (for my sister), Aggressive Inline GC, Crazy Taxi GBA, and Jet Grind Radio GBA.

Didn't really look through the Ps2 and Xbox games very closely. They also had some wrestling games, football games, Shrek, NASCAR games, Jimmy Neutron, etc type stuff for $5 each, but I didn't want em. They had Golden Sun, too, but I already have it.
 
Ugh, bad news at the Henrietta CC in Rocheter NY. They had demo discs in the Bargain bin, and a few truly horrible PS2 games. They did not have any clearance tags or anything. I asked the workers and they acted like pricks. They told me that I had to find the list over the internet on one of their computers and figure out which ones were on sale. So after a glorified scavenger hunt (using this site as my source), I was able to dig up DOA3 and Dead to Rights (usually cheap anyways).

Both were marked 20, but rung up at 4.99. Apparently someone from anonther circuit city had come in yesterday and bought up the vast majority of the games to sell and trade in himself to other stores. I cant believe they let him do it, but whatever. So nothing particularly left. Dig around, and you might find something, but dont talk to any store clerks... Completely pissy to deal with.

why cant i find Disgaea, i went to 3 CC's and there were none... not even Viewtiful Joe, i ended up iwth nothing with these 3 long trips
 
I went to another CC this morning, and it was pretty much cleared out. I was able to get Lufia and Shining Soul on GBA however, so I didn't leave emptyhanded. I saw Timespilitters 2 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer for XBOX, but didnt think they were on the list. Now that I think of it I already own timesplitters 2 on gamecube, so I wouldnt have got the xbox version anyway. There were a few Syberia and Gun Metal left but I decided to hold off and wait until next week if they have a restock.
 
Man, this was so good while it lasted.... good job fellow Cheap Asses. Would of been nice if you cheap asses bought OTHER stuff while you were in the store.... :)

I was at both stores today and they still had a bunch of $5.00 games on the shelf even though they were pulling them off (Monroe St.) as I shopped. Yesterday they were pulling them off at Airport but they still had some on the shelf today.

my CC was all out of the deals! I live in Atlanta GA, and went to the lenox location... if anyone was planning to go there I just wanted to give you the heads up. I guess I can wait until Sunday... my birthday is the 8th.
 
Just went to the CC in Fort Wayne. I didn't find any that I wanted. One employee seemed to be pulling games. I asked and he said they're reorganizing. He also said they hadn't had disgaea for 2 months. Darn.

Well I went to my local and they had nothing, just the usual clearance rack with the same games always there, and holes all over the place. Now my CC sucks bad and never sells out during these deals so I assume they shelved everything in the back. My gripe is all you people buying multiple copies of these games to sell them. Some of us really want to pick up and play great games like Viewtiful Joe and Disgaea, among others like Wakeboarding Unleashed. However every time you of these great deals happen everyone on this board runs out and buys as many copies as they can get costing us other gamers the chance to play a game and own it cheap. Sorry about the rant but this happens every time one of these deals gets done, and then I have to go to a crappier store like Gamestop just to get the game that somebody bought for 5 bucks so they could make money, it just really angers me.

The area I live in is very short of CC's, they are at least 25 minutes apart and there are only four of them. This kind of sale always happens when I'm out of cash darn the luck.
 
BTW - went to the 3rd CC in Richmond, VA., and things are totally picked over. Midtown and Southside still had some Rygar, which I skipped on, and single copies were available of the more common items, but way to picked over.

I went to the Gaskins store, and all 9 Dynasty Warriors 4 for PS2 were gone -- I was pissed. Hope they went to a good home.
