I just got back from my local CC in Canton, OH. Here, at least, they had just put games into a bin and they're all $4.99.

There were a few sports games for each system, but I couldn't remember the years. I wasn't exactly looking for Xbox or GC, but those are what I remember. I'll add more if I think of them. This a great deal, check your CC, I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but I hope so.

A lot of the Mojo's will ring up $20 because they have those Circuit City Super Saver stickers on them. Any game with those stickers will not ring up the $5 price. If you can convince the employee to scan the actual barcode and not the one that is stuck on top of it, though, then you'll get the game for $5. I'm guessing these stickers are the cause for many of the descrepencies that people are reporting.
 
This afternoon my local CC was taking games off the shelf, based on a barcode printout of all the $4.99 games available. In the stack of games pulled was Bomberman Tournament (GBA), so most likely it is a $4.99 game.

Yaeh this maybe so because i checked my MOnster Rancher 3 and it didn't have the sticker when i got it, i've seen a lot of those stickers on game that i wanted and have been listed as 4.99 but they rang up as $15 or higher. :(
 
yeah i work up at cc and we didnt really hear much about the deal for a while until some people showed up with lists of cheap games. i didnt know how they had figured out the $5 games when i didnt even know. thats when i heard about this site
 
This may be YMMV, but I was able to get Mario Kart: Double Dash for $4.99, which I didn't see on the list.

Yeah, I'd like some confirmation on this one as well. All my Circuit City's have a ton of this game and I doubt it's ringing up at $4.99. You may have just been extremely lucky.
 
when you update the list could you put a * or some other mark by the newest games added ? That way I won't have to compair my old list to the new one to find out what was added.

The MKDA that he is talking about is the Promotional copies that were supposed to be given away when you bought Psi-Ops. They say something like "Promotional Use Only. Not for Resale." on them, but they will ring up as a penny in CC's system. There were both PS2 and Xbox versions.

Yup, just got back from the CC in Pontiac, MI on Telegraph. They had a cardboard bin that says right on it "4.99 Games". Had quite a few titles at that location but there is a lot of old garbage (ie 2002 sports games) that you have to sift through.
Picked up Big Mutha Truckas and Fifa '03 for the Cube. Also found a copy of Eternal Darkness for $14.99.

Btw, if any of you live in Northern, VA - I went to the ones in Sterling, Fairfax, SpringField, Tyson's Corner and they all had the sale going on. The one in Fairfax and Tyson's Corner put all sale games they had in stock in a bin and put a huge sign Clearance $4.99 today! I went on Sunday and none of the games were on the shellves... Now for Springfield and Sterling, you must go hunt on the shelves, and no one has a clue at those stores of the $4.99 sale.

Just got back from State College, PA. After a pool trip with a few friends, I told them about the deal. We got there and the place was relatively stacked, and a number of good games were still there.

I didn't actually get anything, as I got all the games I wanted last trip- but my friends got DOA:XBV and a few other XBOX titles.

Anyone in the area also should know that they have both Disgaea and Skies in stock as well, I don't know how many copies they have however.
 
to people wanting games.. if you went this morning.. you were ok, this afternoon.. ehh youre probably outa luck.. i went to mine for the 4th time and they had even MORE games off the new list.. i swear its like they are restocking them.. picked up 5 more, nhl 2k4, harry potter, celebrity deathmatch, serious sam, and world series baseball... but while i was in there.. the employees, eqipped with official CC lists were empyting the shelves to save some for the Sunday Sale.. so you may get another shot then.. good luck all! (my total is 36 games now)

ohh.. btw: i see YMMV used alot.. can someone tell me wut this means please.. (it was next to Syberia, a game i picked up)
 
I didn't actually have them scan ObiWan PH, Amped PH, Syberia, and SSX Tricky for Xbox, they were just in the $4.99 bin.

I did buy FIFA '04 for GBA, so I can confirm that one is $4.99 for sure. I think they had FIFA '03 on the shelf too.

My brother got a copy of Obiwan PLATNUM HITS for $4.99 but promtly returned it after finding a non PH version at the next store we went to.

Also I got VF 4 [not EVOLUTION] and Devil May Cry Greatest Hits for $4.99

but other GH stuff I've tried Dark Cloud/Maximo have not worked.
 
Just came back from my local CC....they didnt have much of anything and the sales people werent any help. I ended up picking up Mega Man for the GBA
 
Freehold NJ and Lawrenceville NJ CC are tapped out completely.
Kelly Slater Pro Surfer for GC should be taken off list, priced out at 14.99

Grabbed an old PS1 title for 4.99 Dragon Valor add to the list
56% at gamerankings but really looks like a good game, so decieving. Anyone have any experience with this game?

Look like my CC won't restock. They already put the games in the bin for everybody to grab, but they only have like 3 GBA games and like 10 or 15 PS2,GC, and xbox together which mostly are sport and games that no one wanted.

Call them and have them hold the game for you, do it evry day as soon as they open and give them a fake name until you will actually pick it up. Or have a friend go get it for you, or something man.

I think my CC pulled games from the shelves. I went in Sunday morning and scored 6 games (5 GC and 1 GBA) and there was a good bit left when I left. I was the only person there Sunday morning so my store isn't that popular.

I went in today after work just to see if maybe they had put new games out. I didn't see one game on the shelf that is on the lists. As a matter of fact, all the shelves were nice and neat which I've never seen there. Out of 4 racks for the GBA games, 2 of them were completely empty. Out of 4 racks for the GC games, 2 of them were empty too. It's possible someone went in and cleaned out the place but I imagine they were taken off by the employees since I didn't see even one game.

I'm still not sure if I want to go Sun morning again to see if they have anything new.

Looks like I beat you to it :twisted: It was pretty empty when I was there this morning... I also had them scan Kelly Slater for GCN - no luck. I'm headed to the Union, NJ store tonight...
 
Just a little warning to you Jersey shoppers. Paramus CC on 17N has been tapped clean. Nothing but junk there like the Sumo GBA game. Just warning you so you don't waste a trip there if you live far.

Forgot to add that they had Puyo Something for GBA that isn't on the list for $4.99. I think its Puyo Fever???

I talked to a guy at CC today. I asked if all the $4.99 games were gone - he said pretty much, but that they were DEFINITELY GETTING MORE ON SUNDAY.

I asked "more from the warehouse or did you store some?". He said definitely more from a warehouse, meaning they WERE holding games back for the sale, they were probably willing to just let games at the store go.

Think about it, do you honestly think they'd ADVERTISE a sale without planning on having copies of the games there? That's false advertising to say you have products and you don't. Not only that, but a LOT of angry customers who would never shop there again. I figure they planned on this all along, for us to clean them out of games, hen they could restock them for when they announce this to the general public.

I think your exactly right, that's what an employee told me as well. WHich CC was it by the way?
 
I won't go on Sunday if they advertise the sale of 4.99 games, because that means it'd have crowds lining outside the door at 6AM, like Christmas and Thanksgiving sales. Not worth it, and even if, by the time you'd get inside, people would shove you down to get to mediocre games, since somehow, other people already would have taken the good ones, and you'd leave with many bruises, a copy of Haven, and the lines to pay, which would be very, very long.
People go nuts over sales, and them advertising 4.99 games to the public means bad things for us CAGers who just want to check in stores and browse around, as people get too fanatical and will end up pushing you down to get the last copy of Roadkill.

Anyway: the only other games on the 4.99 list that I want are:

Mega Man: Network Transmission
Chu Chu Rocket
Bloodrayne
Wild Arms 3

I have a feeling, even if I did go on Sunday, those would be gone by the time I would have arrived inside the store.
 
I went to two CC's today, that I had gone to before on Sunday. Both had said they pulled all the 4.99 games to sell on Sunday. But they still don't know what they are. I found 8 that weren't yet pulled. They told me that they had to sell them at full price even though they came up as 4.99. I said that it was fine and I would just bring them back on Sunday to get 10 % extra back and they proceded to sell them to me for 4.99. However, it is a good chance that they at least pulled a bunch from the shelves for Sunday, so there is always hope.

ps....im in MN. this was the ridgedale CC if you live in MN and ur curious. i would have them hold some games for me....but i need to know what games they have first.....thus, i will have to go.......on thursday!
