I just got back from my local CC in Canton, OH. Here, at least, they had just put games into a bin and they're all $4.99.

There were a few sports games for each system, but I couldn't remember the years. I wasn't exactly looking for Xbox or GC, but those are what I remember. I'll add more if I think of them. This a great deal, check your CC, I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but I hope so.

Well.. the games are kind of gone because the sale started Saturday..
 
I went today(a little late..) and while I was looking, I hear a worker talk about their friend buying most of the games, then selling them back to Gamestop. I felt pissed because of greedy bastards like that who dont let anyone else get a chance to buy games to PLAY, not make a profit from. Kinda sucks that I was gone the whole 4th of July weekend, so I only heard about this deal today. :( I ended up getting..

I found Star Wars Jedi Academy at CC, but it rang up $29.99. Maybe I should go back and buy it and price match on the 11th.

I can't find Panzer Dragoon Orta anywhere, so if you can help a dude out, give me some love.

The CC here in Richmond, Bay Area CA now has a bargain Bin. overheard the guy, he said he got an email today to put all the games in a bin rather than hold them til Sunday. Bin pretty much sucked, saw a Rygar and maybe something else decent. Luckily I went to the shelves and grabbed the last copy of Mega Man Battle Network 2.

I was in that store on the 4th...

The CC clerk who checked me out copied my list of games so she could buy some.

And the guy behind me was also getting some games.
 
I went back today and they had the $4.99 bins out and it was mostly crap titles and sports games. I did however manage to find Indiana Jones for Xbox and Ring of Red so I picked them both up. I talked to the clerk and he told me that as far as he knows that the sell is just the games in the bin and there is nothing going on Sunday. He also told me they wouldn't be getting any more shipments of these games in. Im not sure if he knew what he was talking about or not.

If you bought games for either your self or to trade here, then god bless your soul.

If you bought a couple of a game to ebay some of your money back, then that too is cool.

If you're a fucking loser who had to grab several hundred copies of the same god damn game, to sell for profit, then burn in hell, you fucking loser.

I went to a couple of Circuit City stores, today in the morning. I picked-up, 7 more Xbox games for a grand total of 17 games and 1 demo disc. This is what I scored, today...:D

I have had people in two different stores tell me that the deal was supposed to start today. I don't think they know what they were talking about.

My thinking is that stores were supposed to get an official list today or tomorrow. Then they would start collecting games, rearranging, and getting ready for the supposed Sunday ad.

Now either as a huge mistake or by design it got activated Saturday ( I believe anyway. I didn't find out until Sunday night. ).

My guess is that all this screw-up, Corporate got hacked!!!, stuff is BS.

We all know how messed up CC's video game depts are. It has helped a lot to thin out the inventory this week and they can present a clean display of crap games for the Sunday ad which will likely say the equivalent of YMMV.

All I know is I love the way things have turned out. With Church the earliest I can be in the store on Sunday is 1 oclock. Even with all the people with lists ( Many of which look like they have never played a game in thier life ) I have gotten a great selection of games.

It's given the internet community a chance to hunt before the general public knows.

Where is Trust with that ad!!! :wink:
 
I checked the Phillipsburg, NJ store on my way home and was surprised to find half the shelves empty. Either they pulled the $5 titles for Sunday, or someone had a field day buying them all up. I didn't bother to ask and just left since I was still annoyed with my experience at the last NJ store.

People need to post what locations they're finding the games at if they're going to post lists. It's not much use if you just list the haul you got at your local CC.

Amazon is the front for TRU's website. In a sense, they're the site admin while TRU supplies the toys. They get a cut as the middle man.

But the two are at war for breach of contract.
 
the CC in Henrietta NY has a few Xbox games...and i saw another CAGer there who had a list...and a few PS2 games, but all I remember of what he had was Namco Museum and Dark Cloud...anbd a few other games

I saw Dino Crisis 3, XGRA, the Thing, italian job, and a few others...
 
I went to five CC's today here in AZ (Pavillions, N. Scottsdale, Arrowhead, Avondale, and Camelback), and at every store, I found CC employees, armed with the lists, pulling games, marking them 4.99, and throwing them in a bin.

If there's anyone here from AZ, I suggest the Avondale store, if you can make it there. There were at least 2 more copies of Boktai, but not too much else. The computer said there were 2 copies of Mega Man Zero 2, but neither I or the employee helping me could find them. He also checked the computer for Disgaea for me, and it said there was one copy at the Chandler store, but I figured it would be gone by the time I got out there, so I passed. Still, I did pretty well. 11 games overall, between Saturday and today...

Well, if this "2 cents" was thrown at me then you need to realize I bought an extra copy of only 2 games and I did that for a FRIEND that was working and couldn't make it up there. How in THE HELL do you make money off of Amplitude (after paying $20 for it) and Super Bust-A-Groove anyway? If this wasn't directed at me then forget everything I just said. :D

Just remember, that list is specific to that store only, and was accurate at the time of the printing. It will be different for each store.

All in all I think we CAGers did a bang up job on our list. If someone wants to take the time and compare the two and look for additions, have at it. I will add them if you put them here.

Revisited 6 stores today ... two of em' I went to twice today :roll:

Seems like most of the stores in my area [IL] have stared to setup an actual bargain bin which is then promptly emptied by CC employees. One guy at a store I went to had a basket full of Beyond and Evil and took every last one of em for himself :evil:
The bargin bin at one store was filled mostly with crap with a couple games not on any list that I've seen (Racer Revenge).

And judging by the absolute barren landscape that was the Video Game Department in every store I went to tonight ... I think its all over.

As these CC employees are throwing games (are these the good games?) into the bins, are they also keeping and hording some away for themselves. If they're throwing games like Ikaruga and Disgea into a bin then (1) they're clueless idiots and (2) we benefit from their idiocy.

I stopped at my store (Charlotte, NC) and they had absolutely nothing. The shelves were also arranged neatly (that store is never neat), most likely meaning employees went in and pulled all the games on the list for Sunday.
 
Maybe someone can clear something up for me: How in the world are they going to advertise the games that are $4.99 in this Sunday's ad? They obviously can't include the entire list in the ad.

Also, how would we get price matches at Best Buy, unless the names of the games were in the ad?
 
Drakken, they will have the advertisement say "Huge Video Game Clearance, $4.99 Xbox, GC, PS2, and GBA games". Then in small print: "Title selection may vary by location".
 
I went to 2 CC in my area and they had nothing. I actually knew one of the guys who worked in the game department and he showed me a cart that they were putting out for tomarrow full of the games they could actually get off the shelves. Nothing but garbage was in there. Just what was left after the crowds came through.

The other one I don't know about but I am guessing it got looted already also. Ohhhh well. I guess I will just wait for the huge influx of games to reduce the prices at EB and gamestop.
 
I picked up today a game which is probably the most bizarre addition to the list - Legend of the River King 2 for GBC for $5. I say bizarre because it's awfully odd that they still had that game. And I will bet no one else found this one :)

Bluewing, I'm from snottsdale also.

I went to the pavillions one about 2.5 hours after they first posted about this on the 3rd i think it was.
THe supervisor at that store said some guy came in and bought 3 full carts full, which explains why there were only about 10 games on that list left lol.
I managed to get secret weapons over normandy and gundam.

Your post saved me a trip back out cause i was gonna go see if the other stores had anything left. thanks! :)
 
I'm new here, so hi.

Now: I went to Circuit City today for the second time since this deal, and mine still had many of the same games they had the first day (Sunday). However, many that have been on this list, when I take them up to the register, don't ring up as 4.99 ... this isn't a case of store stopping the sale A) because many others rang up as 4.99 and B) the store has been very helpful to people looking for the games.

The ones that haven't rung up as 4.99 for me were:
