Updated the first page.

I got Mars Matrix, been wanting that forever. DC games at EB are worth taking a chance on, you have a much better chance of getting those complete than PS1 games.

In further news, My Persona 2 arrived complete. It seems that the PS1 games in the double cases have a better chance of being complete, or at least having either the case or the manual.

My Valkyrie Profile shipped yesterday, so anyone ordering that should have it shipped within a day or two. My Lunar 2 has not shipped.

I should add that there are generally two updates per day. One for the used games which we pay attention to, and one later for new games or price adjustments for their sales. Lately theres been new games coming with the first update, and used games coming with the second. So, keep an eye on it, because Valkyrie Profile came back in stock the 2nd time around one day.

This is a favorite thread of mine, but why not make it a fresh one, say, once a week. The old messages can drop out and it would be easier to follow.

I don't think its that bad... The first post is usually up to date and the last few posts are usually current. Anything before the last page of the thread isn't worth reading because its out of date.

But if it gets really bad and people want it, someone can lock this thread and I can start a new one.
 
I do have a manual for Kartia if anyone wants to trade for it, Brigandine too. I don't own either of those games. I won't ask for much, a manual or a case I need would be preferred.
 
I realize the 1st update for the used games occurs around 6-7 am east coast time, but when does the 2nd update for the new games normally turn up?
 
Has anyone noticed any decent SNES or Genesis games coming in lately? The SNES stock seems to have gotten stuck where it is for the last week or so.

Its been steadily declining... Haven't been many deals to speak of for SNES in a while. For almost a month it was the SNES games that were the most notable deals. Last rare Genesis game I saw was Herzog Zwei, and I missed it. Was a while ago too.

I did notice this and my guess is that they had a spike of games coming in from stores as they discontinued carrying them . . . they must have posted them as they processed them. Now the stock is dwindling down???

It would be a shame if its the end :cry:

For me, my SNES craving was well-timed . . . I scooped up Castlevania, Kirby, and Earthworm Jim. I got Contra by trade and found Star Wars Yoshi's Island, Bomberman, Rock n Roll racing ($2 each) at resale shops.

I think my craving has subsided :)
 
During the summer there was a time when the SNES stock went down, then one afternoon there was a huge update and I picked up MM Soccer, SFA 2, Castlevania Dracula X, and a couple other good games that I can't remember right now. Maybe there will be another big update soon.

I actually like the way this thread is run. I find that it is easy checking the last few pages of this thread and then heading over to the first page (or vice-a-versa sometimes).I really don't think there is any need for a fresh one as every week some games come in that are the same.

Seems that the Genesis stock is going to down too. It was around 800 games last week and is now down to 427. I'm guessing that either they don't get many games traded-in and sent back to the warehouse or they're phasing out the classic games.

i am just setting my sites on one game at a time for right now. lucky for me my local eb has a few in stock that i am looking for. hopefully they have the complete versions of the games i got the other day. i need a manual for tales of destiny 2, case/manual for Tales 1, and everything for Lunar SSC. i was hoping for the extras with lunar.

Course I think that copy has been on there for like 2 months now. Suprised noone ever picks it up, one of my favorite portable rpgs ever. Though that may just be nostalgia speaking. I still remember buying it new at EB long ago. The employee took it from me was like "Great Greed?...." and gave me this look that was like "what the fuck is this?"

Also, back at the time final fantasy 7 was released I was like 14 and had to move out of where I was living for awhile as house was being renovated. Only took my playstation and ff7 with me at first because it was all I thought I would be playing for awhile and didn't think we would be gone that long. Biggest video game based mistake of my life. 3 Weeks later still can't move back, but we went back to get the rest of my games. All my SNES games(had like every rpg), all my old ps1 games with those big boxes, all my genesis games and all my game boy games had been stolen. All except one that is. Sitting on the bottom of the drawer was Great Greed. Still replay it every once in awhile.

Guess I rambled on a bit too long there..
 
I'm a little disappointed with EB's shipping lately. They are usually very good about only putting things up for sale that they have in stock and are ready to ship. However, my Arc the Lad from a few weeks ago hasn't shipped. My Valkyrie Profile, Persona 2, Bust a Groove 2, Tactics Ogre, and maybe a couple more haven't shipped, even though a few people like dafoomie ordered at the same time or after me and got theirs. I wouldn't be worried, but I ordered the first Persona at least a month back and was later told it was on backorder (which really isn't supposed to happen with EB). It's still sitting there. I hope this doesn't continue, I hate it when web stores try to sell stuff they don't have in stock.
 
sadly, i am sure it will continue. its kind of pointless to list new items that they aren't able to ship immediately or within a day of an order. if you can't fill the orders, then don't make the product available.

I have a Gunstar Heroes from Oct 1 thats still waiting to be shipped. and a new DC controller from a couple weeks ago. Final Fantasy II or III took almost a month to ship. Aside from that, I've been ok... They're usually good for at least getting it out eventually.
 
I have 7 (SEVEN!) orders sitting unshipped. It ranges from SNES Gradius 3 I ordered on October 4th for $1.58 to the Phantom Brave SE I ordered last week.

I'm not sure what's up with them lately. I think they're having a few problems listing products they don't immediately have available. I've yet to have an order cancelled by them >cough, BestBuy< so I'll let them sit & see what happens.

Thanks. Wish I could find a cheap copy around here. The local EB stores are in malls and don't sell NES/SNES/Genesis stuff. In fact, I was at one a day before they shipped all the old stuff back to the warehouse. All the stuff wasn't even out front, it was in the back room, and the clerk read the games off the computer. I managed to get The Twisted Tales Of Spike McFang for SNES for $4.99. :)
