Have you guys ever noticed that at least one (and often more) of the reviews on that site is by people who haven't played the game? Not that I'm basing my purchases on those reviews, but I find it funny when I see a game with 5 stars and the review says "Damn I heard this game is gonna rock!" Or it'll have three stars and the review will say "The screenshots look ok."

Is Darkened Skye any good? And I think it's time for Substance since it includes instructions and original packaging for once.

The ultimate example of this is on the Barney Hide & Seek game that Strider just linked:

That all depends on your definition of good.

I think it's an interesting title because it's essentially a Skittles advertisement blown out into a full game. The gameplay mechanics are awkward and the story is contrived, but it's unique and that makes it "good" to me.

For $4.99 pre-played, give it a chance. Even if you outright hate it, you'll only have spent pocket change.

This thread always taunts me. I've been looking for Shining Force 2, and I'd LOVE to get it for $5, but every time I see it mentioned on here, I click the link and it's sold out

Well, allow me to reccomend that you start checking yourself, everyday around 7 am est (sometimes a little later). That way, you don't have to wait for it to be posted here.

I'll do you one better. Let me recommend never checking this thread for the deals. By the time most people get them posted, they're long gone. This thread also taunts me, though I am not saying I don't appreciate it. I have just had similar frustrations/disappointments...
Yeah, it's a pretty good little fighter, with some really nice graphics. Totally worth $5 complete (where are you getting it from? If there's more than one available, I want a copy, too! :)).
its a video store that is clearing out its ps1 and n64 games for 5 bucks each. Too bad i didnt know about it sooner (i went there saturday and almost everything was gone) they had this and Tony hawk left. they had a few good games but they were gone.

Ah...only one copy, eh? Too bad.

When I'm looking for a game, this thread can be a threat. Without being listed here, a game can sit instock for awhile. As soon as it is listed here, the clock is running and you may lose.

Definitely get up early and do your own searching.

Its a game about Skittles?! Why have I not ordered this already?! Thats one hell of a novelty game, now I just gotta get that M&Ms game and I'm set.

Its mostly not people here snatching up the really rare stuff, but they to tend to grab the midrange stuff that might otherwise last a few minutes.

It can be more of a "What did I miss today?" thread.
Got it for $5 last summer at CC . . . :)
Same here, I got R.A.D for $5 at the CC sale without even knowing that it was rare/sought after. I just got it because I thought it looked interesting and that Enix made it.

Again, I must say that this is an excellent thread. Absolutely love it. Great that dafoomie started another one. Keep up the work guys.

Kirby Superstar was in stock for like 2 seconds (I had it the SECOND it came up, blazed through the checkout process, already had code entered, and someone STILL beat me to it somehow).
Earthbound, Breath of Fire, Aerobiz, and a Dreamcast console were in stock.
Do you remember how much the Dreamcast and Earthbound were?
Do you remember how much the Dreamcast and Earthbound were?
I'm pretty sure Earthbound was either 20 or 25.

Bomberman 64 Second Attack was in stock, then got pulled. Dammit, my girlfriend's been wanting it forever, and ebay's a bitch on that game =/.
I was thinking the same thing . . . one must buy via priority. Definitely be ready to buy immediately . . . 15 games! What did you (OP) have in your cart? I can only think of one or two games that I want right now. Of course, I've been doing this for over 6 months . . . :)
that's the thing, nothing overly special, just a bunch of cheap gameboy color games. did a lot better today.

At what hour of the day does EBGames seem to update? I thought I was up early on this occasion, but still missed out...
Do you remember how much the Dreamcast and Earthbound were?
Earthbound was $29.99 before coupons.
Dreamcast was $19.99 before coupons.
$12.99 MGS 3 Snake Eater
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/240461.asp
Funny, I had this in my cart and I think there about 10 in stock (maybe 7) . . . but I didn't leap to check out (not really hot about this game). And I'm waiting for online vouchers to make some major purchases. I was updating the total to see if anyone bought one (or two) and they all vanished.

Either a reseller got them all at once, or maybe it was a pricing error and they retracted them . . . . ???

Anyway, I got a $3 Bloodrayne . . . considering my rule of thumb that my store credit has cost me less than half its EB value . . . I got it for less than $1.50 shipped.
