I decided to order Growlanser: Generations for PS2 a few days ago for $27.38 used after Edge, CAG15, and Saver. I just got the package in the mail today and it wasn't the regular edition it was the deluxe edition. This might be YMMV, but for $27.38 for the deluxe edition I would recommend taking the chance in ordering it when its back in-stock. You can always return the game in-store and get your money back if its not the deluxe.

Another thing to check is that this might be the in-store price (around $36.99) without the discounts, but I hardly doubt that. Its worth checking though.

Here's the link for anyone that wants to get it when it comes back into stock:

i say you got very lucky. I think they ran out of stock on the game and they are out of stock on the New ones so they just gave you the deluxe
Thanks, I've been looking around for this game at a good price. What's the difference between the normal and deluxe editions?
Difference is that the regular edition just comes with the game. Deluxe edition comes with the game in this big box filled with a watch, deck of playing cards, game soundtrack, power ring with three gems necklace and pouch. Lots of game related extras.
Do you get the extra items that come with the Deluxe version like watch, artbook, ect. ? It's a damn good deal if it comes with everything.
Yes, it came with everything extra. But there is no artbook in this deluxe set. Never was. ;)
Now that most of the stuff is gone, anybody want to start a new thread? Probably about time to stick a fork in this one.
The items that dafoomie listed on the first page are just games that many people are interested in . . . if most of them come into stock, they are gone within minutes of the update.

I don't see much reason for a new thread. Just keep up on the last few pages for the most recent info.
I don't see much reason for a new thread. Just keep up on the last few pages for the most recent info.
It's not the info is bad or out of date. It's that the thread is getting large. Just like a saved game on the original Xbox version of Morrowind, bad things tend to happen when a thread gets too big (too many posts). That's why you see so many new OTT threads, and some deal threads get 'refreshed.' Another example: The Gamerush thread was closed in favor of a new one not long ago I believe...

edit: last EB thread was locked at 1269 posts, so we're close to a new thread methinks.
I love this thread, though I wish I could catch the update more often.
I still check the thread for leftovers but I can never make the update since the morning news show on the tv station I work at is on for the hour the updates happen so I'm never able to check it until an hour or two after the initial update.
And over 60,000 views.

Lots of lurkers out there...
i lurk.. i like to know who got what deals and what games are considered "rare" or more likely "sought after" so when i go to B&M places i know what games are good buys. i don't really care that much to get a game right at the update.. there isn't a game out there worth it for me to do that.

You usually get a better price online for used games from EB. Only advantage to B&M is that you can see if you'll get a complete copy beforehand.

And it won't get pulled from your cart ... unless the EB is in a particularly bad neighborhood :)
slide--who knows? Pure laziness? ;)
Actually pure laziness is a state that's next to impossible for the living to achieve.

And I should know.

nope,, what kind of sucks is you know if you sleep in to around 720 they would update at 7 but if you get up at 7 they wont update till 740... least next week i dont have to play this game. I think im going up to the lake Sunday to weds next week wooo no ebgames
How can you tell when the update actually happens?
The total number of items drops (usually to nothing), then goes back up.

you can see it in progress -- the numbers of items on the category pages start to go way down. instead of being out of hundreds of items, its out of 25, etc. it's a bit harder to tell if it's already happened. until people start posting finds at least!! (rozz's 7:25 post on the prev. page threw me off.)

: ) Just like every day wait 30 mins for update and WHAM in 2 mins everything good is gone . going back to sleep. At least i got the a ps rpg for 2.20 shipped the crusade game

wonder who got that NEW arc the lad collection for 35 bucks unless it was just a mistake and eb pulled it down (like they did to Lunar 2) i ordered lunar 2 3 times in last month and every time it was cancelled

Guardian's Crusade is actually an excellent RPG, I'm not surprised it sells out so quickly.

$2 is just a steal.

I didn't see Lunar, AtL or Persona. I think it's because I'm using the PP links, rather than the general listing.

Good thing I was not looking to shop today. Internet went out for a while (thank you, inept sys admin!).
Don't know if its rare or even worth this, but...

Space Station Silicon Valley for the GBC: $24.99
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/162710.asp
That game never got released here.. I don't believe. $25 is way overpriced though.

According to IGN, here's the release stats for the GBC version:

Release Dates:
US: Unreleased
Japan: Unreleased
Europe: December 30, 1999

The N64 version is great however.. a lot cheaper too. (If you can find it)
