Holy crap on cracker did they have a huge update today. Tons of stuff I've ben looing for. Should have gotten up early.

I propose to EBgames that they should do two updates, one for the Central time/Eastern time people and another one for west coast people later in the day. It would make it a lot easier for some of us ;).

Anyway, I missed out Dragon Warrior 3 that I've been trying to get, Mario's Picross, and Rising Zan.

Did notice while I was looking through the leftovers of EBgames, this gem of a game Jersey Devil.

I bought this used a while back and got one complete and must say it's a really fun platformer that really deserves a sequel to it justice. It's sort of like Tomba in that department.

^^^^^^What he said!

I agree Hiccup. It kinda sucks for us West Coast CAGs. No frickin way I am getting up at 4:30 to check updates. Bad enough I have to get up at 6 to go to work.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/183141.asp - Noticed this one is in stock and it is supposed to be the better version between it and the PS2 version - 17.99 b/c.

And then I found this game.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/171129.asp - I have no clue as to what this game is. Never seen it before and never heard of it. - 4.99 b/c.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/182832.asp - This one's still in stock - 5.99 b/c.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/232105.asp - And then this one's in which I noticed is under two different price; One of 4.99 and this price of 2.99. Still, it's a steal for this price.
I fucked up real, real bad not buying Mario's Picross the second I saw it. Arrg. I'll just have to wait till they get it again.
What kind of game is this? I saw it this morning and it was in stock for at least a couple of hours or something but I passed on it.

It's a logic puzzle game, where you draw a picture based on series numbers...it's kind of hard to describe.

Here's a pic:
mariospicross8xa.jpg

See, those numbers on the sides tell you how many groups of squares there are in each row and column, and how many there are adjacent to each other. You use cross-referencing and deduction to figure out which squares to fill in and which to leave empty, and square-by-square, you draw a simple picture.

Thanks for the news on Pokemon Puzzle League. I've had someone telling me to pick this one up for a while.

I wish I would have had a chance for Dragon Warrior 3 this morning as well.

Eventually I'll track that bad boy down.

Holy crap, my wife loves those puzzles! She does them in Games magazine and at a free online site. Now I guess I need to add this game to my list (of wants).

Pen Pen TriIcelon is a sort of cartoon-y racing game. I don't remember actually using vehicles though. I remember the game was fairly fun, and I specifically remember sliding down ice slopes with a penguin.

Mario's Picross was a great game, definitely one of my favorite puzzle games ever. There's also a Japan-only Mario's Picross 2 that had bigger/harder puzzles. I really, really wish they'd release another one - a game like this on the DS touch-screen would totally rule.

I just have to ask, though - what's the free online site that has Picross games? I'd like to give it a go :)

Penguins + Ice slopes = fun. YOU'LL HAVE FUN AND YOU'LL LIKE IT, DAMMIT.

In all honesty I remember this game being mildly amusing. It was multiplayer only if I'm not mistaken..

my mom bought Pen Pen triIcelon and she sort of likes it, plays it occasionally, she seemed to like hydro thunder more though. I picked it up once, and then put it down. It's really "cute" and is a sort of footracing game that does some interesting things with different surfaces to run on, and it has single player.

Pen Pen is a fairly good game (DC launch title), although it's fairly short. There are only four courses, each with basic, basic+obstacles, and extended versions. Each is divided into three sections (one added in extended) where you waddle, swim, or belly slide. Low difficulty and lots of things to collect, and moderately cute character design.

I grabbed it new for a buck from an EB that "found" a bunch of new sealed DC games earlier this year. Worth a few bucks, anyway.

I believe she likes this one: http://www.conceptispuzzles.com/ It offers a few different types, and also puzzles with 3 or more colors.

Those types of puzzles are often called "Paint by Numbers" (one reason I didn't realiize what Mario's Picross was about). You can find a ton of sites if you Google for "paint by numbers puzzles"

Yaeh, I agree with hiccup on this one. There should be another update for those of us on the west coast.

nah it be too hard to do 2 updates a day. Then again i think they do 2 updates at least they used to. 1 in the morning they update the used games and later on in the day you would see new games come onto the webpage.

I think im mostly done with Ebgames unless i get a great deal got this email today..

Dear EBgames.com Customer,

EBgames.com strives to fill all of the orders that we receive but once
in a while a product that is on backorder does not make it back onto
our shelves. This has happened with an item that you have on order. We
will not be receiving any more copies of LUNAR 2:ETERNAL BLUE PS. We
have cancelled your order for the product and your credit card will not
be charged. If you have other items on your order, those will remain
on the order and shipped as soon as possible.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to either reply to
this e-mail or give us a call at 877-432-9675.

I have been sent the same email several times for different games. I think once you have something on backorder for a certain amount of time they automatically remove the item and tell you they won't be carrying it anymore. Last night I was informed that EB would no longer be carrying Romance OTTK III and that my order for it would be cancelled... and then it was in stock TODAY! :bomb:

I called and explained to them what had happened and as usual they were of no help. Apparently it's too complicated for them to add the game back to my order(it's not). :speaktothehand:

Just curious, how does everyone find these deals in the morning? do you search for specific titles? or is there a section of the website I'm missing for recent updates?

step1 get online by 7am est time
Step 2 get ready to hit refresh alot

Step 3: if you see a game you want BUY IT THEN do not and i repeat do not try to combine more then 1 great game into a bulk deal you can always go back after your first purchase to reclaim what is left (I lost a lot of games trying to push 3 or 4 games into a single basket, by the time i check out the great games are already gone)

step4: yell and smack your pc when its not moving fast enough : )

all in all have fun and get ready to pay as fast as you can cause there are probally 50 more people going after that 1 rare game you find early in the morning

I think dafoomie should just update the OP with a list of instructions like you put it for how people should go about finding the amount of the game in-stock as well as how to locate the deals. It seems like this question is asked every other page or so.

How many of us even check the OP? ;) I'd suggest maybe making a eb FAQ but then again people don't read stickies either.

simple thing what i do is

go to psx preplay games. check the rpg section
Go to Snes preplay games check the rpg section
repeat for Ps2 and gameboy and gamecube

check CAG to see if anyone has found anything i missed and then go back to bed
you would never got it these were in stock last week and we got the email saying all the orders were cancelled
I got mine from a while back, sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.

Bubble Bobble for PS1 was in stock too.

Un-miraculously Burnout 3 has gane back up to $35 in the last 2 minutes. How unfortunate.

Edit: If you add it to your cart it will still come up as $17.99.
