Gotta love it.

Ordered Tobal No. 1 for $3 a/c and it shipped complete w/ FFVII demo - particularly funny because EB does not even have the cover art on their web site. Not a bad purchase if I do say so myself.
Heh, I figured something like that. Thanks. :p

My current game I've been seeking out is Survival Kids for GBC. Is it rare? Does anyone have an EBGames link I could use for whenever it's in stock?
I also have a copy, it's a fun game. good luck on finding one. I traded for mine (if I remember correctly) and have never seen one in store. So, I would say it's at least "Hard to find" if not "rare." Maybe someone else knows better...feel free to correct me.

Saw this in another thread, and it's one of those websites you always try to remember and can't, at least I can't and I figured I'd post it here for all those incomplete PSX and DC games cdcovers.cc, might be a good idea if this thread ever gets "stickied" to include this in the FAQ section.

I had a fresh new copy of Survival Kids.... I think it's definitely in the HTF category, as I sold it used and complete for around $30 a couple of years back...

Huh?

^^^He was mentioning that site where you can download and print CD covers for your incomplete games. Not a bad idea at all. Thanks for the link hinkbert.

Yeah that's what I meant, thanks for clearing that up. That's also why I posted about Goo Gone a number of pages back. I figured in a thread where people are purchasing used games that are either disc only, or covered on stickers, that it would be helpful to know about resources to clean up the games or make them more presentable/collectable. I'm just not very articulate, especially on the internet and especially early in the morning.
Sweet, picked it up. Always in the mood for a silly new NES game. Thanks!

This is a great game, a lot different than the Arcade Strider but this game came out first. It has a cool plot twist in the middle but I won't spoil it for you.

I just read this in another thread, and verified it for myself.

CAG15 and SAVER are no longer compatiable anymore... I'm getting an error box telling me I can't combine the two coupons anymore.

holy fuck he's right

Hasn't worked for a few hours now. It's really going to hamper this thread and my shopping- no more buying 1 or 2 games at a time for me.

all we need is for EB to no longer guarantee their games complete and their transformation into another gamestop.com will be complete.

seriously though, hopefully this isn't anything permanent.

Realistically, they HAD to be losing money off us with this =p. I can't believe it's even worked this long. Given I get a LOT of games one or two at a time, this kinda kills it for me.

CAG15 + Saver = No go
PPLAY15 + Saver = No go

PPLAY15 + Edge Card = Works
CAG15 + Edge Card = Works

I've also noticed that you can no longer use the SAVER code on the 99 cent controller that uses Fed Ex shipping.

Seems EBGames is really deadset on axing down all of these tricks.
Ahahahaha. A pal of mine from highschool and myself are the only two people I've ever known who actually enjoyed this game. I might have to buy this, even though I lack funds.
I enjoyed it, from what I've played of it. I got it for $15 sometime last year.

Ack...I wonder how long it'll be till CAG15+Edge stops working. :?

I'd better buy some stuff, immediately, before EBGames comes tumbling down.

If it dosen't come back . . .

I say: We are our own worst enemy

I've done it myself, but the tons of orders that came out to less than $5 each with free shipping must have broken their back.

They should have a minimum total to get the free shipping . . . $10 would make sense.

It'll be unfortunate if things continue this way as EB has been so great for all of us. It's really too bad GS bought them out(I don't like their B&M stores or website). I have a feeling more things could take a turn for the worse, such as guaranteed complete, in-store return, etc... The morning update has even been slow and doesn't seem to happen on time anymore. :nottalking:

If it doesn't come back $2 isn't that bad, it could certainly be worst. Just don't be bitter about it if it doesnt come back, EB games has treated us well for a long time now. We'll just have to start making orders bigger instead of always grabbing one or two things at a time.

The problem with that is that with all the hot games right when the update hits, if you try to get more than one or two things in your cart, they're GONE.

My Thousand Arms came complete... Unfortunately, I already had a case and manual for it. If anyone ordered Thousand Arms and needs one, I'll trade it for another case/manual. Or maybe I'll just give it to you, if I can't get another manual for it.

It seems you have to have at least 2 items in your cart to use the SAVER coupon now.

EDIT: Scratch that. It seems that SAVER doesn't like working with Super Nintendo games (or at least the one I was trying it with).

I've done the math and $14 is roughly that magic number at which it becomes more effective to use CAG15 + Edge rather than SAVER + Edge. (It seems EBGames takes 23.5% (item * .85 * 9) off for CAG15 + Edge, so $14.81 would actually be the number - if they actually take a full 25% off then then it is $13.33)

Very good update today! Certainly makes up for yesterdays blunder.

Arcana is a surprisingly good game . . . had it not vanished and the codes worked, I might have bought it . . . although I would never replay it.

But I picked this one up in 1994 in NYC (probably about $15 complete and resold it for $10 when done). I went through a lot of games that way back in that time. The used shops were really cool (run by Chinese guys who knew their games).

Anyway, it is distinct RPG with card-like play. I remember starting it and thinking it sucked (poor graphics and all) but then loved it . . . but not enough to keep it.

Hello everyone. I've been reading stuff here at the forums for some time now but this is the first time I've ever registered/posted .. anyway, I was just wondering where on the eb site you get the update information from? Do you just keep your eye on stuff and notice when it drops or is there a specific area on the site I can check myself? Thanks to everyone thats providing updates by the way .. it's come in handy.

The times they are a changing and it's not for the better.

I would hope that with EB and Gamestop combineing it would have made a bigger company capable of better deals, but I guess not. I have contacted EB customer support about this via email. Once they reply, I will report back with their comments.

If they no longer combine the discount with free shipping, I will no longer be buying games from them. I won't even look at their website anymore.

Can't speak for everyone else, but I just go randomly searching for games, like the lunars and what not.

BTW congrats on making the transition from lurker to an actual member! :)
