Wow, you're right . . . this is a good time to buy N64 games. Lots of stuff.

If anyone doesn't have this baby buy it now.
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/152704.asp

$2.99 for a classic and if you have the memory expansion pak, this game looks pretty damn good . . . one of the only games that I really saw a big dfference with the expansion. Obviously the GC sequel is better . . . but this is a good game.

Another good expansion pak game was
It was 17.99 not too long ago. Inflation sucks.
I've noticed that a lot of used games have gone up in price on EB's site.......... They're actually turning into Gamestop prices

School starts Tuesday. I can officially say that since the update has SUCKED so bad for the last 3 weeks, I may no longer be here in the morning. Why get up early to see 3 games added to their list?

They may not be rare, but I love every single one of those games. Too bad I own almost every n64 they make.
Any chance of this coming with the soundtrack?
i think it should most likely. even if it doesn't, i think you can order the soundtrack from the atlus website for $3.
Very good RPG for the PS2........... highly underrated
i've never read a good review of this game
Well, I still check in. :)

As to Nocturne - It may. The re-release will NOT include the sound track.

Matthew
that one ps1 game included the soundtrack so i wouldnt have clue why this wouldnt
that one ps1 game included the soundtrack so i wouldnt have clue why this wouldnt
Only the first printing of Nocturne had the soundtrack. There has already been a second printing and that didn't have the soundtrack, so I don't see why any further printings would. =) In any case, as other people have said, you can order it directly from Atlus for $3 shipped if you really need it.

Actually, you can also buy a used copy of Nocturne from Atlus themselves for $35 shipped. I ordered one last month and it came in pretty good condition and was one of the first printing that included the soundtrack.

Nah, they aren't rare, but this is the first time i've seen them up in quite a while so I figured i'd post them. I'm currently in the process of building up my N64 collection and I picked up Banjo Tooie and Majoras Mask myself.

Besides, it's not like they've given us much other stuff to post lately.

I ordered countless numbers of n64 games through the updates and have never tested them. I went to play them all and about 1/4 of them DO NOT WORK. I was shocked. I thought it was my system, but I have 2 of them and the games wouldn't work on either of them. The moral to this...Test Your Games!!!!!!!

My solution...I will order up these games again and return the defects as "defective." Since I can't return them now due to being over 30 days, this seems to be a logical solution.

My copy of Rogue Squadron was like that when I first got it. Refused to play unless I fought with it a lot. I figured it might be my system but it was the game. At one point it just started playing and I haven't had any real issues with it since. No idea why it was like that when I first got it.

I always test everything the day I get it though. Rogue Squadron wasn't a big deal at 2.99, but the more expensive stuff would definately bother me.

Try some Q-Tips and rubbing alcohol -- over half of the N64 games that I've bought from EB in-store have had incredibly dirty contacts, often to the point that they won't play. 99% of the time they work just fine after cleaning.
Thanks CaptPete!!!!
No problem!

I should also note that they're being really pessimistic on the whole `allow 2-3 weeks for delivery' thing. I got the game about a week after I mailed them the check; it came priority mail and they must have packed it and shipped it off the day my check arrived!

Atlus sells used copies? where would they get used copies from?

where would Atlus get used copies of SMT? or do they mean they open 2nd print copies without the soundtrack and then repackage it together?

Now this along with the rumblings of reprints, etc. - It sounds like Atlus games aren't as rare as people make them out to be, probably people hoarding copies to drive up prices.

I've noticed quite a few games now that have gone up $2 on ebgames.com. It could be the Gamestop takeover going into effect or it could be that they're artificially inflating their prices temporarily to cover for some awesome sale that will be coming up shortly (as in buy 2 get 1 free) in order to clear room for 360 stuff. Just a guess.

Dont know why I didnt notice it this morning but this might be worth getting for about $10.30 a/c

Or try blowing on the connectors........ that always used to work in the SNES games back in the day

Why would they care about what their damn game sells for on eBay? they get their $40 or whatever they get wholesale on each game, end of story. If I had to guess, they're copies that people return to a store for whatever reason. That way, they can still get some money out of those copies as opposed to just trashing them.
Actually, the price didnt drop, it was raised. Just a few days ago is was $12.99 used.
I was actually $12.99 for the PS2 version.
Actually, the price didnt drop, it was raised. Just a few days ago is was $12.99 used.
And it was 3 for $30 at Game Crazy a few weeks ago. And $9.99 B&M during the last month's sale at EB or GS (I forget which).

I've played the game very little. It appears to be another game using the Baldur's Gate engine.

So, meh.

We need a list of all things that have been raised on Eb's website. This is very interesting. Oh, but I'm not going to do it.

I have no idea. The game I got was definetely used (some scratches on the main disc), but was generally in good condition. Generally as good or better than I generally get from EBGames.

It wasn't a second print copy with the soundtrack, it was a used first printing (the simple way to tell: the case insert says `includes soundtrack cd' on the back, and it's a dual disc case). I have no idea if that's what they always will send though.

In any case, like I said, it's not something that Atlus advertises. AFAIK, Atlus does it as a service to their fans who can't otherwise find a copy.

Games are definitely going up in price at EB. I just came back from their store and i saw MGS:S for xbox for $12.99 (used to be 9.99) and Zelda bonus disc for 26.99 (used to be 24.99).

Isn't it better to overestimate than to have people upset when their game doesn't ship "on time?"
Isn't it better to overestimate than to have people upset when their game doesn't ship "on time?"
Yes, I realize that's exactly what they're doing. They're not making any guarantees about how long it will take them to process the order, or what method they'll ship it back to you and how long that will that will take.

I'm just saying that from my experience they fill orders very quickly and ship them priority mail.

And to post something sort-of relevant to the thread...has anyone checked out CAG-O-Matic to see if it's shows the games that went up in price on ebgames.com? If it happened in the past week then they ought to be there somewhere.
When is this buy 2 get 1 free sale that you speak of?
No sale that I know of .. I was just speculating at why there are all sorts of $2 increases all of a sudden.

Games that have been raised in the past few days are:

Bard's Tale
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242342.asp
$12.99 to $14.99

Dark Cloud 2
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/224328.asp
$17.99 to $24.99

Disney Golf
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/223804.asp
$14.99 to $17.99

LaPucelle Tactics
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242491.asp
$17.99 to $19.99

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/119968.asp
$19.99 to $24.99

I got my order the other day and when I opened my Lumines case, I saw Wipeout Pure in there. I took it to my local EB Games and the guy switched it out with a brand new copy (I bought a used one) since they didn't have any used copies. Overall, besides the ugly stickers that I must remove with Goo Gone, I'm pretty pleased with EB Games as a whole. Sure they messed up my order, but I ended up benefitting by getting a new copy in the end.
I saw an MGS2:Substance for the PS2 for $30.00(NEW) at EB is that worth it
Umm, don't think so, as it is probably an open copy. Obviously if it's sealed pick it up for collecting purposes, if that suits you.
I saw an MGS2:Substance for the PS2 for $30.00(NEW) at EB is that worth it
It is, but its probably a gutted copy.

Actually, it wasnt at EB, it was at a local Toy store...in wrapper and all...but I want the game for playing purposes, so should I buy this one for $30 NEW or the XBOX one for $10 USED
