Already one of the best bargain games around at $2.99.

At $1.99, I command anyone who does not own this game to purchase it NOW!

Shiny.
One word: YUCK. I rented this when it first came out, after hearing all the hype and whatever and the game was just awful. Something tells me it didn't age well.

Hey Dave - how about working less on hyping your games and more on making them not completely suck. I already forgot what Shiny's last good game was.

Glal I didn't miss anything...BTW, I saw it mentioned before, but does anyone else get UPS 3 day select when they use the SAVER code for free shipping? I got my order yesterday for somthing I ordered on the morning update on Tuesday. So essentially I got it overnight, even thought the package says 3 day select! Probably because I am the next county over from where EB games is HQ'd. But I lose out on sales tax.

Later!

I'm fairly certain Wild 9 didn't get much hype. Few games have gotten as much hype as Enter the Matrix -- to which you are obviously referring -- except perhaps Daikatana and Fable.

And the game DID age well. If you hated it when it first came out, it's becuase you don't like that kind of game, not because the game itself was bad (because it's not). And since the gameplay is 2.5D (like Klonoa and Tomba!), it has aged just fine.

Not liking a particular style of game does not make it bad.
I hate sports games, but I would never argue that Madden 2006 is a bad game.
So nobody got anything cool today?
just a ps1 pinball game for 78 cents shipped. hell it cost them more then that to ship it probally

Your order has to be big enough and you'll always get UPS. GBA games or a single disc game will probably get shipped in the gray envelopes. Larger orders or any order with a (non-portable) cartridge game will go in a box, which are sent UPS. Some folks use ps1 controllers instead of cheap ps1 games when they need free shipping fodder, b/c it ensures UPS shipping.

Once when I wanted to get a game in 2 days before a trip, I delibrately put NES games in my order to get the faster UPS shipping, and it totally worked.
Wow .. major price drop ...

$24.99
Gone now . . . awfully tempting at this price. A month ago I would have snapped it up. Now, shrug.

I rented it (free BB coupon) and playing the single player reminded me of how frustrating Rare platformers tended to be. The game is very strange because other than the graphics, its the same old game . . . wonky camera and crappy controls. Yet, the story and dialogue are worth the ride.

Would be $18.75 ac . . . I'll wait for $13.50 . . .

I'll point out 2 games:

$6 bc
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/227937.asp
this really is one of the best collections of retro games . . . mainly because of the unlockables. They give you a reason to play the game (commercials, patches). If you played the 2600 at all . . . get this.

$10 bc
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/200522.asp
mostly for its oddness. I ordered one last week and haven't gotten it yet but someone else might want one. . . it recently dropped in price

I always get UPS 3 Day. I don't know why. I ordered 1 game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 the other day and I got UPS 3 day. I also order Mario RPG for the snes by itself and got UPS 3 Day select. I have begun to wonder if this is their only way of shipping to me. :)

Hey, I want a powerglove for the NES. What are the chances that EB will have one of these on their site? Anyone ever see this?
Far as I know Alundra has a basic one-disc, big case (ala Suikoden, Wild ARms, etc) the insert for the front and back, as well as the cover of the manual, are reflective foil.

At least, that's how mine is and I bought it at launch. ;)
I got Alundra 1 at GameStop and it came with a map.

Used games purchased from EBgames.com can be returned to any EB games store right? Just wondering because I'm not satisfied with the condition of one of my orders and would like to either exchange or return for a refund.

Technically Yes. In Actuality YMMV. The EB right next to my work wont do it. They will only let me use the credit on returns to buy something else PO at that store right then. Total nonsense, I feel like printing out the return policy from the website and handing it to them.

But the EB nearest to where I live does returns no problem, they even give me the credit back on a gift card so I can use it on the site. =)

The website says merch can be returned to a B&M location as long as its in the same condition as when you bought it. Not a problem with PO games. And they are suppossed to return the money via the same method you used on your original purchase. So to your credit card if you used a card, etc. But some EBs will give you the money back in whatever form you want.

Thanks, I will call to check with them first I guess before I drive over. I have no problem if they just issue credit back to my card, I'm not expecting cash for it or anything.

I keep accidentally screwing EB over. I returned two defective EBgames.com purchases over at a local B&M store. They took the games and gave me credit on a gift card. However the amount they put on the gift card was based on the original prices of the games, not the discounted price I had actually paid.

I assumed that wouldn't be a problem for them to handle... See, they were about to add shipping reimbursement to the gift card too, but then one guy pointed to my packing slip and saw that I wasn't charged for shipping. Since they paid enough attention to the slip to NOT give me shipping reimbursement, I assumed they would make a not of the price I paid and give me the right amount. But nope, they gave me back too much. Oh well.

A similar thing happened a while ago. I didn't get a gift card, instead I just put the money towards a game right there. It didn't hit me until later that I wasn't supposed to get any CHANGE back. I looked over the receipt carefully and realized that, yup, they had given me back too much money.

Don't worry.. they make up for it with the people who aren't paying attention who end up trading in their used game instead of returning/exchanging it. Both times I've exchanged a game, they've started the process of trading it in, until I'm like "Uh, hey, I gave you a receipt for a reason"

iirc, it also says you can return items to b&m on the back of the receipt/packing slip :D i've done it twice already for games that came in horrible condition. g'luck!

EDIT: i remember on one occasion that i had to point out what it said on the back of the receipt/packing slip. after the employee saw the writing, he did the return without anymore hassle.

Funny, the manager at my store always does it right and gives me back what I paid. But one of the workers is frustrated by the whole thing and just gives me the original price back. I never complain :) but it hasn't been much money so I don't bother either way.

I have never seen a powerglove for the NES on the site and i look at the NES stuff about 4 times a week. I highly doubt you'll find on on EB but it could happen.

pfft

People complaining about sucky updates. Geez. Every day they complain "Update sucks". Whatever. I got my hands on Psychonauts for Xbox for the wife, Mario & Luigi Superstar saga (to replace a lost cartridge, doh!), PS2 Component cables. Sure no Lunar 2 or Tales of Destiny, but come on. How about "nothing for me today" or something. Suck is a relative term.

Glad to have you in the DC fold. ^_^

More power to ya, I tried to be a Dreamcaster but gave up when I realized I don't have time for the 3 this generation systems that I have. I had a system and couldn't get a working copy of Sonic . . . so I returned it . . .

If I stumble into a pile of cheap DC games (say, at Goodwill) to get me going, I may try again.

Welcome!!!

BTW, the 15 for 50 on EBGAmes.com is alright. The last time I got 8 complete and 3 in thier cases, no manuals 4 in the orange used game case. But the completes are getting harder and harder to find. Gamestop doesn't even carry them anymore.

honestly.. i got into it because i was looking to replace my Genesis and some guy on craigslist sold me Genny with sonic 2, contra, and 4 other lame games plus a DC with 3 controllers for 25 bucks.. so i figured what the hell..I figure if i have friends over and free internet isn't that bad i'd like to check the morning update thread in my bedroom to see if its worth getting out of bed for heh..

and about the 15 for 50.. looks like the best way to get a memory card and some decent racers.. definately going to get in on it.

question: if u buy a gift card and give it to someone will it be considered store credit>?

if thats so, then wouldnt it be cheaper to purchase a giftcard and then buy a game so u wouldnt have to pay tax
