boring day. No one was even here discussing before the update either. A little weird if I have to say. Still, a copy of RAD isn't too bad for business.
picked up Suikoden 1 for $30 a/c.
If it isn't mint/complete I'll just return it.
i could of sold you a complete one for 30

I was just going to tell you that it is in stock everyday and isn't worth $30, but I checked ebay and saw a complete game sell for 65.00 last night. Nevermind lol

yeah kinda weird.. update happened early today tho compared to recent days.

This figures .. I've been here every morning before 7am for the past 2 weeks straight and its been updating at 7:30 or so. I get to work slightly late today and it updates at 7:10

You didn't miss much in terms of "rare" games. The PS1 thread didn't gain any new ones from what I can see on the front page (highest cost first)
haha thanks again! i picked it up. :)
I'm helping you build quite the Harvest Moon collection.

That HM2 is prob fairly rare and HM3 I just plain never heard of before.

yeah i hope they ship HM3. my order is still open from yesterday.

$1.75 shipped
I saw this and put it in my cart . . . but couldn't pull the trigger . . . too bad this won't instock next time I need free shipping fodder.

1) I'm never going to sit down and play this game. Honestly, and I don't need to grow my collection with so much extra stuff. I bought R-type and checked to see if it works and haven't touched it since (along with about 10 other SNES games).

2) I'm convinced that the only thing that will kill our free shipping someday is when the percentage of orders using it that are under $5 gets too high.

Yes, I would (and have) get a $2 game that I really want with free shipping . . . but why add ones that I don't really want?

Anyway, someone grab this before I become a hypocrite again as wamp8jedi has pointed out about me elsewhere :)

I say just go ahead and do it. Yeah I was a bit guilty when I bought this but I bet Gamestop is going to mess up our fun soon enough so why not enjoy. If EB was bleeding money they would have stopped the free shipping long ago.

I also noticed this was in stock:

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/224829.asp
but is 29.99 b/c OUCH!

Not that it's a rare game or anything, but has anyone had luck getting a nice clean copy of Soul Calibur 2 for GC online? Mine sucked, so probably gonna return it, or more accurately, see if they will let me look for a better copy in store, and exchange it. Looked at GR last night, not much better condition there, judging by the cases. So, really just wondering if i should try to reorder or expect the same condition.

One thing I love about this update and ebay. I got the rare game, RAD for $8.00. I will play it and beat it (just like a rental) and will be able to sell it for $25.00. This is actually kind of fun too. So, I look at it as a rental that I get paid for.
Someone hurry up and buy those before I do. I don't know when I'll even pull out my NES or SNES, so no point in me buying one of my all-time favorite NES games (Contra).
I almost got super contra yesterday but someone pulled it from my cart. I really want it but then I get to thinking about the fact that I have two NES consoles and neither work properly .. it blinks and blinks an the games take far too much coaxing to get started.

Speaking of NES games .. me and my buddies have been having an awesome time playing American Gladiators (one of the few it seems my NESs will run). So if you have an NES, friends, and some spare time/money I recommend getting it.

Crap, all I have out of that list is an NES.
Crap, all I have out of that list is an NES.
Ha .. well it is the only thing on the list that will keep you out of trouble.

I felt your pain! If you are having trouble with the blinking, you could always pick up a Generation NEX from Playmessiah.com. for $60.00. Or you can replace the tin contacts in your original units. I went this route and it works fine...Ok, I just pre-ordered a GenNEX too. It plays Famicom games and is wireless too.

Is $34.99 b/c a good price for FF3? I've played and beaten it, so I'm not in any rush to get a copy, but I'm wondering if it's cheaper elsewhere.
amazing that even after the BUY3GET1 expired, the update still sucked
I hope this is why the updates were so bad the past couple weeks.

Unless you find someone selling it at a flea market or yard sale I doubt you'd find it any cheaper, but 34.99 b/c is still a premium. Wasn't this on a collection disk for the PSX?

Yes, it's on the FF Anthology.
But there are load times on the PS1 version...
Yes, it's on the FF Anthology.
Price drop from $9.99 to $7.99 BC:

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/230623.asp
Gamestop had a deal when Star Ocean for PS2 came out...You had to trade in 4 rpgs and you got Star Ocean for free. Gamestop also had this game for 12.99 at the time and Buy 2 get 1 free. I stocked up on these games and ended up getting 5 Star Oceans CHEAP. It was awesome.
Thanks, I think :)

Can these be pre-played since they are online? I wanted this for completeness, I haven't opened the original game (I don't even have a network adapter yet hehe)
Yeah, they can. You just have to make sure the booklet comes with the game because it has the key code printed on the front cover. But it's a next-gen game from EB, so you don't have to worry about it.

Just returned Thousand Arms, Shadow Madness, Grandia and Threads of Fate. The guy at the store could not believe what horrible condition they were in. Grandia looked like it was used to clean sandpaper, and Shadow Madness only had one of the three discs. I used cag15 and my edge card, plus saver for 25% off and free shipping. The guy either felt bad for the crap I was sent, or just did not notice, but he refunded me the full price. Additionally, he found some way to return my credit card purchase in cash, rather than to my card or giving me store credit.

So to recap: was sent horrific merchandise, made $18 and avoided the dreaded in-store credit. I did not notice how much he gave me back until I was looking over the receipt in the car, and I clearly was not going back to correct him then. EB will profit anyways, because I ended up just buying about $60 in stuff online. Gotta love mark-ups!

My orders came in today and to my bewilderment, rage racer not only came complete, it came mint, disc and all! Pong also came comeplete, but in okay shape, shipewreckers and Soul blade were near flawless. All 4 discs were in excellent shape, best eb order to date.

My eb guy is a jerk. He won't return used games. Won't even allow store credit. So, when I return games I just call them up and demand a pre paid postage envelope. Works like a charm.
