no time for links this morning . . .

I got SNES Toys for .99 bc (designed by David Crane of Activision)
lost Gradius III and Spindizzy Worlds in my cart . . . shrug

Meteos $27 bc and Kirby CC $30 bc are both instock for those with store credit!

i don't think it was a crap update if Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger were in.. what games have to be in stock for it to "not suck"?... i spent too much money at BB yesterday buying up 1-15 dollar games so i have no money till next week.. but i have plenty to do,.

and my sol divide came mint and complete.. sweet.

CT wasn't - I tried to get that right a way and lost it during checkout. FF3 was though.

I don't know.. but i feel its kinda weird for a 2 dollar game from EB's site and it comes in like pristine condition (well its obviously been played.. but all the same) I always expect Disc Only Playstation games this is the first of 3 PS1 games from the website so I can't complain.. I got Spin Jam today in the mail 79 cents and the disc is perfect. thanks to the posters who gave me the heads up on both accoutns.

Bleh... my Lost Kingdoms has puncture marks all over the case (though the label seems to be safe), manual is barely functional, and the disc has more wear on the top than the bottom (which I guess is a good thing?). Needless to say, I can't imagine the copy I saw in the store could be any worse, might as well do the exchange. And couple it with the B2G1F so they don't give me any grief.

Just got my Dreamcast Dynamite Cop, Mortal Kombat Gold and Ecco from the morning thread. All mint and Complete. Thanks EBGames.com...I'll miss you!

Btw, slightly off-topic. When is EB Games officially gone/bought out? I was considering reknewing my EDGE card, but will it still be good in the future?
Btw, slightly off-topic. When is EB Games officially gone/bought out? I was considering reknewing my EDGE card, but will it still be good in the future?
I would guess they'll probably either switch them over to More cards (GS) or just let you use it. Either way, its a good deal, since its $5 less than GS. I can't imagine them turning you away once they merge.

And shareholder vote is October 6, so it should be final on the 7th. Not sure when the actual stores will be switched over though, probably by early 06.

nothing official has come out of it.. I would imagine there would be a grace period before everything EB turns to GS.

I think that someone at EB has it out for me. I received another box of games and none of them were complete. The last time I bought games from EBGames.com the same thing happened :whistle2:(

as long as they aren't current gen titles then you're alright.. if they were PS2 or Xbox then i'd be mad.

Sounds good. I'll renew my Edge card tomorrow.

Actually its $10 less....
Actually its $10 less....
It's $15? Guess thats why I turned them down the one time I've bought something from GS.
I think Genesis games are done. Several employees at different stores told me that their store no longer takes them for trade ins.
This has long been the case for anything beyond Playstation at stores near me. Some stores told me that they had to salvage their older stuff and claim insurance on them. They literally had to take boxes of NES stuff and smash it out back. I asked a manager that I knew well if I could "wink, wink" hand her money so that I could do the smashing "at my house". She refused saying that she had to smash them. I literally shed some tears as I saw some rare and classic Genesis and Snes games be destroyed for nothing.

I see these sort of things and shake my head in disgust. I think the local Game Crazy did the same thing with ~20 broken PS2s.

1. They're committing insurance fraud.

2. They're getting rid of items that would normally sell online (Ebay, Yahoo!, IMASD, etc).

3. They're missing out on a tax incentive / good will movement if they had donated them to charity.

On a happier note, wheeeeee my Rayman 2 for DC just arrived complete.

The cases were disassebled, with the each of the inner trays popped out and re-shrinkwrapped with the disc (that EB always does that with the jewel-case games). However it seemed like they all had been new games. Manuals looked like they had never been touched, and the discs were spotless. I have a feeling they just had to open some new games and sell them as used.

I figure people in this thread are the most suited to answer this:

What is the best product/process for cleaning fingerprints off discs, if anything? All the games I got from the B2G1F are pretty good scratch-wise, but it looks like someone had fun smearing oily fingers all over it.

And to be slightly on topic.... Summoner shipped yesterday, hoping that's gonna be in satisfactory condition, no chance of exchanging that one in-store.

Alot of stores do these types of things with other goods. Food, Movies, Electronics, etc. Sometimes its cheaper to destory them at the store then ship them back to whomever their suppose to goto. Ive never heard of a Game Crazy destroying items, but Blockbuster on a weekly basis would destroy VHS and DVDs.

I use an Alera CD/DVD Disc Repair unit (around $30 on Amazon, etc). Great for getting off prints, and it'll buff out a lot of scratches too. I tried some of the cheaper cleaning units, and none of them worked well - Alera is the best I've found.

My gamecrazy destroyed a final fantasy 3. The old manager was keeping it for himself for the 3 for $15 so he put a small x on the back to pretend it was defective. but they fired him before and they other guys told me they saw him break it..

Just got back from my local Brooklyn EB and got 007: Everything or Nothing, Madden '05, and Timesplitters 2 for $24 (includes the purchase of a new Edge Card). I also got a Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for $10 at K-Mart so it's been a wonderful gaming day with 4 games for roughly $30.

Today at the 2 for 1 I got: (All Complete PSX)

Chocobo Dungeon 2 (New and Sealed)

Dragon Warrior VII
Threads of Fate
Marvel vs. Street Fighter
Breath of Fire III
Breath of Fire IV
The Granstream Saga

They had Suikoden I disk only but I had to pass...I'll find it complete someday!
Does anyone know if Bomberman Jetters for the Gamecube is rare?
Your not going to find it in the first store you walk into... Most decent pre-owned stores will stock it.

Heh. That's probably the one I ordered and then cancelled on Friday. Decided I'd wait for the GBA remake, since I find myself playing portable games more and more.

And Makai Kingdom is still available:
