old FLINTSTONES game not simpsons

I remember a flintstones game I used to play back in the late 80's on my pc. It didn't run through windows, it may have been dos. The reason I say it may have is because there was a menu where you chose what you wanted, and it wasn't strict dos (or, at least not as I remember dos, seeing as I haven't used it in over 10 years). What game is this?

It definately wasn't an apple computer or anything.

Well I checked on gamefaqs and there is a game simply called "the simpsons" which ran on windows or dos, it appears to be a PC version of the excellent beat-em-up which was released in the arcade during the late 90's (WTF has this never been ported to a handheld system?)

That Arcade game was called 'The Simpsons Arcade Game' I believe. I remember spending a ton of quarters on it...
 
yup, definitely the simpsons arcade game you are looking for. I have the big old floppy disc of this game laying around the house somewhere.
