Old Game/System Storage

Hey all

I have a bunch of old systems (XBox1, PS2, GC), as well as both last-gen and current gen games. I was wondering how people store older systems and games? I'm looking to have them take up less space in my closet, but am at a lack at what to do?

Order CD books and throw out the cases?
Stick them in a box and store them at the folks' house?

What do you do to keep your older stuff?

I happen to have all my 360 games in a folder for ease of transport/selection, but the cases plus all of my other systems/games are simply stored in a free shelf in my room. If you ever intend to sell your games, I think you'll find having the cases will make things easier; put 'em in a storage box in the basement/attic or something if they're in the way.
