Could've just used the Champions Online trial that's been up for over two months. http://www.champions-online.com/demo . Only difference between this and the OP's referral codes is that the OP gets stuff for each person who joins under him, and people who join get an in-game doll or something. Still, makes this more of a referral deal than an actual free thing, imo.

Here's the difference if you're actually interested

 Welcome to the Champions Online Demo download site! You can download the game now using one of the links below. Some special notes about the Champions Online Demo:

  • You can play inside the Millennium City crisis. Push back the invading Qularr; work with Defender, Sapphire and Ironclad to save the city; and meet other Champions along the way.
  • You may create two different characters within our character creator.
  • You have unlimited play time. Play as much as you like. To access the full version of Champions Online, purchase the full game from any of these fine retailers.

What restrictions apply to accounts using a guest pass?

The following restrictions are placed on all accounts using a guest pass:

  • Cannot trade player-to-player, send items via mail or use the Market Place
  • Cannot send in-game tells except those on the friends list (but can receive all tells)
  • Cannot participate in zone chat
  • Cannot send a friend request, or team/supergroup invites (but can receive and accept them)
  • No zone restriction other than Lemuria

There you go. Whether or not I get some doll once doesn't change the fact I'm giving out Guest Pass keys for free. :applause:
 
So go ahead and try the demo trial if you think you will get a better representation of the game being stuck in the tutorial level with two powers.
 
I'll stand corrected....limited game time but fewer restrictions (referral) vs unlimited game time with more restrictions (demo). Either way, don't try to come across like you're doing this for the good of everyone when you stand to reap some decent rewards (costume slots, warps, cryptic points, game time) for every person that joins under you.

Fact is, you have nine posts on this forum, seven of which are in this thread. There's little reason to believe you aren't doing this for your benefit.
 
^ Good point, but free is free right? People will take these codes if they want to and I"ll replace them if they do.
