I'm not really sure how this overdraft thing works, but I used a check card and in the past when I've tried to buy things and there wasn't enough money in my account, it just refused to charge and I was SOL for whatever I was buying...

Well damn. I put the money back in the account, but I reallllllly hope they cancel. I just checked some of the reviews for Buy.com and they are all terrible. Maybe if they don't cancel it I'll be one of the lucky few who actually get their items, but I have a feeling that I'll be doing a lot of boring phone calling to some Indian guys shortly...

Nothing... yet. But I was looking at some of those website review sites, and buy.com consistently had the lowest ratings. People complained about anything from shipping dates being wrong by a few weeks to receiving their items already opened and used.

Apparently, they don't have anything themselves, they order stuff from other sites, so they lie about things being in-stock, and depending on where they order from determines how bad the stuff will be.

People also said that customer service was terrible, requiring multiple e-mails to get a phone number to call with claims that have been out for months..

It does not sound good.

buy.com is shitty, the only I use them for is for getting free stuff and that is it.

going skiing saturday after work. unfortunately, i'm working 10:45am - 9:15pm tomorrow, add in an hour commute each way, and i'm not gonna have the time/energy to pack shit/get redy tomorrow, so i gotta do it all now :whistle2:(

thankfully i'm mostly done.
 
Has anyone heard if they will be adding new levels/weapons/perks/maps to CoD 4 yet? I thought I heard them talking about it but I could just be crazy.

No, I actually want to mostly know if there will be more ranks because I love it so much and I want there to keep being unlockable stuff. Also who doesn't love good DLC?

I wonder about downloadable content before games even come out.

Why is that any different? The game is fan-fucking-tastic and there couldn't be one thing to tweak or make better because its purrrfect!

Shit, I don't remember any of your $$$$uhs clammoring for new maps for Gears when it was the hot shit... (or halo 3, as long as that lasted...) :D Though when new maps dropped, you were stoked. I was just trying to figure out what the hell was up with blarg already asking for it after 3 days -- seemed odd to me.
 
Okay, what the fuck. I just exited out of some Spongebob demo into my Dashboard, and now it just shows me a 360 silhouette thing with dots around it on the first three dashboard sections, like the loading symbol, and isn't going anywhere. I powered down and restarted and it does the same shit.

I believe your 360 was trying to kill itself after being forced to play a spongebob game. ;)

Seriously though try unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and see if it works.
 
Halo three has a suprising diversity of play. because of the different game types combined with maps.

TF2 had converted maps as soon as it went out of beta.

Today I have done ebsolutely nothing exept.

Play TF2
Play PPL
Play Mass Effect
Start Folklore
Get another level done in Raving Rabbids
 
Patience young jedi. It's just thinking. I've had that happen before too. not exactly the same, but I've notced that the 360 is prone to slight freeezes when entering/leaving certain games. Usually live games.

For those of you with RB guitar, does your whammy bar click? When I press it all the way down and let it up I hear a clicking sound. I also can hear shit rattling inside. God I hate the guitar. I wonder if I got one of those defective ones.

I agree about the melee, but I think the matchmaking really made that only a few maps are played and only a few gametypes. Also it is impossible to ranked matches with a party because of skill level differences.

EDIT: I have RB for the PS3 Rocko and my whammy bar doesn't make a clicking noise, however I need to send it back because the strum is messed up.

Matchmaking was restricted to competitive maps and gametypes (at least ranked was). For the crazy/more fun stuff, there was always custom games and unranked matchmaking.

Your second point is absolutely, 100% wrong too (assuming I'm even understanding it correctly...).

I played the Madagascar game for the Xbox like a year ago.

Only because I got it as a gift and I felt obligated to do so. :lol:

Maybe they fixed it recently then because I was on awhile back with Hotshotx and Kendal and some other CAGs and we couldn't find any ranked matches because our skill rankings were drastically different.
