Wow. One of my friends found out that her roommate has been going through her stuff, reading her diary, even so far as to counting her condoms to see how many she's used. How she found out, I have no idea. But poor or not she should get the fuck out of there. :shock: :bomb:

WAIT! That was him? I knew his name sounded familar for some reason when they mentioned it. (I was just listening to that on the way into work this morning.) I just don't know why he admitted it...

While listening to EGMLive, I was laughing so hard out of sympathy; I had a crazy stalker when I DJed at a Christian radio station that would always call and write me weird letters about "pyramids being radio towers for aliens and God." fucker sounded a little like whathisface on Family Guy that lusts after Chris, too - just not as old. Used to call me "Brother Daniel" and shit.

It was really creepy at the time, but now, I find the nutjob hilarious...I swear, if I find a letter I will scan it. I can't make up half of what this guy spewed...
 
There's this one old son of a bitch, named Cecil, who calls the radio station and cries about shit.

I'm not sure if that's his last name, or first... :whistle2:k I'm just going by the caller I.D.

Anyway, I love it when he calls, because I'll talk some furious shit back. He's really belligerent, and has threatened to get me fired and shit.

He's also convinced that the station is comprised of "a bunch of Conservative mother fuckers", because we broadcast Red Wings games, which occur during the Alan Colmes show.

One time I asked, "Are you retired?" He said, "Yes." I followed up with, "I can tell..."

The first time he threatened to get me fired, I slammed the phone so hard that I broke it. He kept calling back, and I'd answer with a different voice, every time... which tricked him, every time.

Dude - it was a job. They knew up front I wasn't Christian, either; but they basically said they treated it as a "don't ask, don't tell" because if they only hired Christians, they'd never have any air talent or board ops. (Plus, since I handled the 6am - noon Sunday morning shift alone in the building, it was especially hot to sneak my then-GF into the studio, or accidentally sing "Doing it doggie-style" on the air over a song.

Looking back...I really wasn't a good employee.

The great thing about working the early shift on weekends at a Christian station - there were so few listening, that I would play Alice Cooper or Tori Amos under songs and when people would call, I'd just blame our shitty AM signal and that it was being stepped on by a stronger station.

Had I not had my car accident that took me down for 8 months (and I just never went back - I think I still have my keys to the building and studio, in fact), I know I would have kept pushing the limit to what I could get away with. I probably would have just played Cannibal Corpse outright instead of Anne Herring or something...
