ONE MORE UPDATE Some Shaq-Fuer stole my car
Would the words "apathetic towards" make you feel any better?
Nope. Now it's been an hour of your life wasted in this topic.
Nope. Now it's been an hour of your life wasted in this topic.
Actually its been an hour of my life wasted on IRC---this has just been in between moments of silence.
....People don't lock their cars?

You deserve to have it stolen. I have 2 houses on my block and I lock my car every single time I get out of it.
Um, it's very easy to break into a car (I have a lot of experience because I have ADD and sometimes lock the keys in the car).

Unless it's a high end car you can just slide something down the window and pull the lock mechanism up.

Stop being an ass, I could jack your car in 5 minutes (unless it's a BMW or a Cadillack, then I would need 10 mintes).

Btw Rich, I found your picture on the internet.

At least there is someone here with some sense....(actually everyone but Rich).

Wrong...Rich locks his car.
And then gets the tires stolen
Because I can, in any way, prevent someone from hoisting my car onto a big fucking log and taking the tires right off. My garage only fits one car.
And then gets the tires stolen
I got a tire stolen once. I had my old crappy Ford Probe parked in the corner of a gated apartment complex for a few days straight. I hop in later without a second thought, start to back out, and of course I instantly realize I must have a flat or something. I walk around the car, and the entire wheel is missing! The strange part is that no one knew I was staying at this apartment (I was visiting my dad), so it couldn't have been a prank. Some fucker actually stole my tire. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about this, WK. How fortunate that your dad had full insurance on it. Sucks about the game, though.

Everyone is being hard on rich for being hard on whoknows, but honestly, I have to concur.

The thief probably picked the van because he knew how to get it started quickly, and it had a "for sale" sign on it, indicating it may be unlocked. I seriously doubt the neighbors were involved. Everytime they have done something against you in the past, it has involved the authorities. You don't go from reporting someone for an illegal fire to stealing their car.

I'm not saying that you have any culpability in this, but don't expect sympathy when things get stolen if you aren't going to safeguard your possessions.

Quack, congratulations, you can steal a car in five minutes. But, as any career criminal would know, you're going to target the vehicle that is easiest. Not the one that takes five minutes, but the one that already has the door unlocked, has a reason for strangers to be looking at it (for sale sign), and is easy to start and drive away with.

The ADD does make sense though, given the nature of your posting.

People here don't like to hear things that are negative, even if they're true. If you come here for support, you WILL get it regardless of the situation; you can unsuccessfully try to rape someone's grandmother and you'll get people's condolences for not getting any.

It has nothing to do with everyone not wanting to hear negative. You are saying oh well should of locked it you ass. Guess what locks are nothing more then a sense of security for us humans. If someone wants in they are getting in. for 20 bucks you can get a lock picking kit and pick any damned lock. So quit being a dick.

Let me play your game on you. You a a fucking moron for getting your Rims+tires stole. you should of got wheel locks. (yes they make them) You are moron for not having wheel locks. If you did have them then it would of least took them 15 mins to saw through one (unless they were a crack head). and they would of been making a lot of noise. So you are a fucking moron for not spending $60 bucks on rim locks for a $2,000 set of rims. Who hear is the fucking moron. lets see 1992 van or $2,000 rims?

Just cause someone stole you rims or a car that was not locked that does not make them a moron. One could break a window or pop a lock. It not that hard.

But the difference between you and I is that I'm not going to rub salt in the wound. I'll politely tell them that they should keep it locked up.

Again my point is locks or no locks someone is getting in if they want. Hell most home doors you can get in with a credit card or crowbar. All you have to do is chip away the wood. The credit card only works if only the bottom lock is locked.

BTW Fanskad your avatar sucks it doesn't move like hotdonnas. j/k

Reading the story... here's the idea:

You said that someone rifled through your glove compartment. Well, with the VIN and registration sheet, wouldn't you be able to request a "replacement" key.

The second visit, he probably just used the key.

There would be documentation if duplicates were made...

If you're living in a scummy neighborhood you have to lock everything all the time. I live in a good neighborhood and I still lock everything just to be sure. I mean you have peace of mind at least then.

Obviously, any form of security is defeatable. All I'm saying is that without taking reasonable precautions, it's ludicrous to be upset when your stuff is violated.

EDIT: and your avatar sucks more.

So what if you make a better point then me. But I do understand what you're saying very good point.
Makes sense that a stupid fuck like that would buy/steal a Creed CD.
Thats what I thought
See!! Random Person.
Maybe, I don't really care much though, all I care about now is he gets whats coming to him.

I still want to know where he got a key for the car though :whistle2:k

Probably the registration scam. Maybe he used the photocopy of the DL for that.

Also, I never said locking the car would help, I just said that not protecting what you own is a good way for someone to pick you as a target.

It's like that movie Jimmy Hollywood. He's a vilgante and he takes cars from normal people and returns them washed and with a full tank of gas.

Haven't seen it, but will do so now :D
Make sure that assclown gives you your copy of Area 51 back.
Yeah I got it (luckily I put the reciept in my wallet so he couldnt return it). It was also under the seat in the back to hide it from the sun so I dont think he even knew it was there.

I decided I don't need it for full price and am going to return it now

Where the hell did you say you got the car back? I'm looking frantically through this thread and I see no mention of it.. This is tripping me out.

EDIT: Just call me assclown

. . .

You don't know how he got the key?

Dude, he rummaged through your glove box, apparantly.

He had all the required info, I would think.

Yeah, but there was no key there, and nothing was missing when we checked. So unless he wrote all the stuff down without anyone seeing him....I don't know though...

I love it when the updates aren't burried on page 4 :applause:
(seriously, I hate it when people do that)

I'm glad you got the van back and everythings good.
- The motorhome reminds me of my family when I was younger. :D

My dad wanted to sell the van and use the motorhome as a normal car...that would have been fun, especially when I needed a ride somewhere.

I'm just that cool :D

And I could drive if I wanted to...but first I would have to get a job, earn money, buy the car, pay for the insurance which I am too lazy to do

I did not read every post sonot sure if this was posted. I work for a dealership.
with a vin number I can make a key in a matter of 2 minuets or less. GM is cracking down on this big here. You have to have title, and driver license coppied and on receipt. If the veichle gets stolen and you do not have the info they will charge the dealer with theft. If you knew a dishonest person you can get keys all day long just walk up write down vin and talk to your buddy. I hope they catch the fuckers that stole your ride
