Onkyo Home Theater receiver question.

I'm looking around on Onkyo for a home theater receiver and I was wondering if anyone can help me infowise here.
I look up Onkyo's NR-801 model on their website and it's listed as being a 7.1 receiver as well as supporting Dolby Pro Logic II, Net Tune and THX Select to name most of the features. When I look it up on another site though it's listed as being a 5.1 receiver and costing the same price as an SR-702 receiver which is listed as being a 7.1 receiver. I'm interested in the NR-801 because of the price, the supposed 7.1, Net Tune and the THX select certification.
My question is if this truly IS in fact a 7.1 receiver given the price of it and the fact it seems to have more features than the SR-702 listed at the same price.

I can't help you with your model specifically, don't know much about it. But I felt like replyin' 'cause I've got an Onkyo as well and they are very much teh Awesome.

I've got the SR-600 and it's 6.1 so I'm sure with yours being a newer model it'd be at least that and more than likely the 7.1 you were initially told.

I used to work at CC and I can tell you that it is in fact a 7.1 receiver.

Yes the NR801 is a 7.1 revceiver, with THX select, nettune. I have the SR702. And if you can find the NR801 for the same price as the SR702...go all over it. Sounds like the web vendor selling the NR801 put in a wrong price...go for it.
 
The funny thing is the NR-901 is only like $200 more though so I don't know what the deal is. Maybe the SR is being phased out or something. Regardless I GOTTA have Netune with my receiver just for Air America radio. ^_^
Btw can anyone tell me the difference between the NR-801 and 901 because I don't notice that much difference.
Oh and can anyone recommend some good speakers to go with these receivers?
