Online dating... good or terrible idea?
I'm comparatively happily married.

Every marriage or relationship has problems.

Some of the problems will go away in time and with no effort. For example, her "batshit crazy" mother will be dead sooner rather than later.

Other problems will go away with effort and in no time. For example, debt levels will drop tremendously as soon as the first house is sold or rented.

EDIT: And just think, a lot of problems happen if you date successfully!
:applause::applause::applause::applause: I used to think the same about my mom-in-law, but now I realize she was the sane one afterall.

And then in my case, I let her be in charge of the "budget." What a fucking mistake that was. Currently being unemployed with a fraction of the income when she was still here, I've made a budget that works and still leaves a little at the end of the month. In the seven years she was "in charge," she couldn't even create a stable budget. She always wanted to go out to eat, had to have this and that. She made a budget that suited her means, not the family's.

I wish good luck to the new asshole she's living with.

I initially read this as posted by Mana Knight, which would have been awesome.

Did you guys have any trouble canceling your match.com subscription? I thought about doing the 3 day (maybe 1 month) thing but I've read horror stories about canceling..

Free pussy isn't. Finding your "match" in a hurry isn't a good idea.

I don't understand how so many couples don't jointly decide the finances/budget. It seems to always cause problems. Then again my fiance and I see almost completely eye to eye on the issue, so that helps a lot.

My fiancee and I have a google doc budget that we are both constantly updating and checking and we always talk to each other about any expenditure over 50 dollars or something. It works out well for us.
