Sounds like a silly question -- could someone explain exactly what Viewtiful Joe (2) is like? I've read various reviews, and it sounds like something I'd like, but I'm not sure.

Is it a puzzle/adventure game kind of like the Mario games, or is it a "fighting" game like Mortal Kombat? or nothing?

I know the graphics are what's supposed to be great, I just can't quite tell exactly what type of game it is..

It's a Beat-em-Up game... like the old 8-bit and 16-bit sidescrollers of days passed. Only, it has a stronger emphasis on platforming and some minor puzzle elements that require the use of your V-Powers to pull off.

Both Sonic Mega Collection +Plus/Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Sonic Heroes/Super Monkey Ball Deluxe are available for Xbox for $15. Not bad, especially for SMCP/SMBD considering you're getting the upgraded GCN verison of SMC and a remixed version of SMB1 and 2 for around 7.50 each.

yeah viewtiful joe 1 and 2 can basically be considered as a throwback to sidescrolling 2d beat em up games. few easy puzzles here and there, insanely hard bosses at times, but what makes the game awesome is the powers you get throughout the game.
