Wow. I'd really like a DS, too, but I don't need it now (don't have time for it and can't afford to buy games for it since it has *no* cheapass games), and when I do, I'm sure I can get it for less than $118. But that is truly a fabulous deal. I agree that it warrants the front page, but surely they can't have that much stock.

This is a pretty good deal but the site is still down. Its basically 30 bucks off which is good I guess. To bad I just got mine for 100 with mario in box :) :) :) :) :)
 
I would have jumped on this, but I don't like the color scheme. I'll wait until the black version is out. It comes out in Japan next week along with a couple other colors.
 
Simple fact of the matter is that PlayAsia overstocked and just want to blow off some of their inventory. I wouldn't want to play Chicken Little and say that the DS sky is falling just yet. The system is well worth it for a quality back lit screen for GBA games, plus the trickle of DS games will become a stream eventually

Been OOS since the last I checked (10:40PM EST)...most likely even earlier.
 
I hope this is symptomatic of a price drop. My guess is that by the end of this summer, or the Holidays at the latest, the DS will go down to an MSRP of $100, and go for about $70 used. I don't have any proof, but given how many used ones people are already selling it seems inevitable.
