[OOS] Star Ocean: Second Evolution PSP $9.99 SHIPPED!!

Thanks OP.

I ordered one right away. I bought the first Star Ocean for the PSP at Newegg for $13 so it's great that to have Second Evolution.
I played the first one on PSP. It was okay. Is this one any different?
The first one was actually originally released a long time ago on the SNES, so although the PSP version was better, it wasn't incredibly fun.

The second Star Ocean was originally released on the PS1, and it is a much better version of the game. It's not as linear as the first one, and it a vast improvement compared to the first one. The PSP version did some small things here and there and added enough to a game that was already a very well rounded game on the PS1, so definitely worth the pick up even if you weren't a fan of the first one, the second one is much better, especially since there are quite a few things you can do differently as far as replay value is concerned.

Great deal! The cheapest I recall this being was $17.99 on Amazon (it's back up to $23.08 at the moment), so this is a steal for $10. I'm guessing it'll go OOS pretty quickly.

Wow, I can't believe it's already out of stock. You better click on the auto-notify button if you want to be emailed when the game is on stock again.

Just finished this game .... well worth the $20 bucks I paid for it a few months ago. I personally liked the first game more, I put about 10-15 more hours into it than I did with the second, but a great game to add to your PSP collection, especially at the $10 price point.
damn 82 cent tax kills it, nice find though.
Seeing this made me laugh so hard. But just to be sure, I'm presuming you're joking, right?

This is a good deal. I had an email notification from newegg whenever they had the first game back in stock, which they do for 12.99. I picked up both games, they've been under my radar for quite some time now.

Ordered First Departure from Newegg even though I don't have a PSP. I didn't want to chance this game going OOP, since I have all the other Star Ocean games and really want to play the 1st one.

What is different between the PSX Star Ocean 2 and this port? Saw a few people say that they added some stuff for the PSP release but not what.

There's a new playable character, completely new voice work, new animated cut scenes, and updated artwork. Nothing completely different, but it's a nice way to revisit a classic.

The new voices fit the characters well, but the nostalgic part of me misses the absolutely atrocious voice work of the original.

Did they fix the broken alchemy system when they moved it to the PSP?

Haven't played it myself yet but I heard they also fixed the serious bugs that caused game freezes in the PS1 version.

Well they do. Star ocean was oos for a while, and they restocked yesterday. So oos is correct

That is correct!

Anybody who was quick enough to jump on the deal and place your order get a "shipped" email yet? I got the email yesterday that it had gone through, I was charged too, but I have not received a "shipped" status quite yet. Just curious. :)
