if you look at the 2nd one and follow the top outline you see its a bit higher up than the first one, so thats where the extra area comes from.

Look at the red brick above the hole, now compare the empty white space with the same red brick in the other triangle.

Yeah the angle is a little higher on the second one.

neither of those configurations (if u fill up the space in the 2nd one) are triangles.

the reason being is coz if u look closely, the red and green triangles are not congruent

therefore one shape is slightly concave while the other in convex
