Original Viewtiful Joe Coming to PS2

I am sure all of you know by now that Viewtiful Joe 2 is going to be out on PS2 and GC. But did you know that the original game will be released on PS2 later this year? I read this in the preview article for VJ2 in EGM. They even showed a screen shot of an appearence by DMC's Dante! Good news for anyone wanting to play the original without a GC.

Didn't see this posted anywhere already so....
 
yeah....i read that dante was a playable character (gmr or gameinformer, but i saw the egm article as well)...i didnt say anything cuz i figured that everyone knew or it was already posted

Sadly I think it may still sell as well or than the Cube version due to sheer numbers. (I bought VJ opening week. Love that damn game to death.) Just a possibility, likely or not.
 
Im kinda disappointed in this. I was hopinh viewtiful would stay as a GCN exclusive. Well oh well. Viewtiful joe 2 here we come.
 
Well i dunno. I love XBOX and its XBL. Ps2 is good for rpgs. Other then that. I dont really have much love for ps2. I think xbox is better but thats my opinion.

I'll personally be buying both on PS2. I don't have a Gamecube and I have nothing against it, but this is one of the few games I actually want that are on the Gamecube.

Because the reason why people buy a certain system is for its game exclusiveness (not a word). I bought a xbox for Ninja gaiden and halo (before it went pc). I bought a ps2 for FF games, i got a GCN for mario games and viewtiful joe. What makes a system good is the exlusive games it has for it as well as its system itself.
 
I guess.. though the reason I bought a Dreamcast was because it came out before the others. Then PS2 came out before the Gamecube and Xbox, so I bought it. I didn't base anything on exclusives. I just haven't purchased an Xbox or a Gamecube, because they came out after I already had what fulfills my needs.
 
There's a point were games are still exclusove to systems but that's mostly from a First party point of view, once you get to thrid party you;re at the whim of economy.

The exclusivity will only last as long as they see it as a viable money maker. There are obviously more PS2s in consumer hands than GCs so the logical metality is with a sequel on the way for a second, more viable platform they might as well bring out the original for it as well and try to plump their sales by adding in a few features for people who think they;ve seen all the original had to offer.

I own the original on GC and I'll probably buy the PS2 version at some point (like if I can find a really REALLY, cheap deal on it) Although I'll have to wait for a few reviews to decide which plat form I'll buy the sequel on. (depentant mostly on if they add features and which has the best control).


Atleast the GC still has RE4!
 
I am having a bit of a dilema on this, purchase the game again...or not. See yeah it will have extra content, but I much rather support VJ2 now on GCN. I don't know, I've grown accustomed to it...that it really doesn't feel like it belongs on PS2. Don't get me wrong I love my PS2 and all, but on GCN VJ just seems to belong there.

Now I know of Dante being playable and all, but will it be a new mission entirely or one of the unlockable characters where you play as Dante and rescue Trish now but it's still the same exact game? Cause if it is...well didn't we do it already with Alastor?

I don't know it doesn't sound to impressive, but still...well perhaps I may wait on a bargain price on this one. Besides I have some VJ2 to think of.
 
Oh don't get me wrong, for those who don't own a GCN or just didn't buy VJ, don't miss out and just buy it on PS2. Hell I don't care what system you get it for, but do support it. It's a great game you must buy it.

As Homer would say "Rudy Giuliani says: Buy VJ on GCN or PS2"
 
What extras were announced for the PS2? The only extra I saw was that Dante/Trish would be in it, which isn't enough for me to buy it again. If I hadn't bought the GC version already, I'd go for it. I'll probably get VJ2 for the 'cube as well, though.
