Other than Zelda, what is the next must have launch title?

Exactly the same here. The last Madden I bought was 05 CE and I'm anticipating 07 on the Wii. Check out the Madden Wii thread if you haven't already.

Yeah, Madden looks cool, I'm probably going to get it...but my only problem is that I already have the Xbox version and have been playing that one to death. I worry I'll be growing tired of it in a month, and the new Wii gameplay alone might not be enough to outweigh that. I'm curious to see more about the minigames and whatnot, that sort of thing might ease my mind about having two versions of the same game.

Frisky, which thread is that? You mean the Madden Revolution thread that showed all the controller mechanics? I saw that one. I also saw the "generic" Madden '07 thread, but didn't jump into that one.

I'm still hesitant on Red Steel. I think I'm going to wait on some reveiws.

I'm really interested in Rayman, though. I want to see what that's all about.

I think Excite Truck might end up being the big surprise game of the launch. The more I hear about, the more fun it sounds like it's going to be. It sounds like Excite Truck might have Burnout appeal.

Well let's see, Zelda is obviously a must, but I am debating between a few other games. I know I want DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for sure, but then I want a multiplayer such as Raymn, or Super Monkey Ball, then again I am interested in Madden. So right now it is up in the air completely, and I want all my controllers right away, so bah!

Way too many people are overlooking Rayman. Although as a character, he's doesn't stand out too much, I'm thinking this new game is going to kick all of kinds of ass.

I think Rayman will be fun, especially multiplayer, but my main concern is it going to be one of those games that gets tiring and not funny the 5th time around u play a minigame?

I've got Zelda and Elebits preordered. Actually, I have too many Zelda's preordered - need to trim a few :D. (Original GC version at GR using the $29.99 preorder deal 1 1/2 years ago, $5 on the Wii version at GR when I first heard about it, and Wii version at EB using the 10% preorder deal here).

I needed to preorder another game using the preorder deal at EB and Elebits was the one I came up with. No way I'm paying $50 for a monkey ball game, and none of the others seem worth it either - I'll wait for reviews in any case. DQ Swords was my other possibility, but as others have pointed out, looks like that is being pushed back. Hell, I have Metroid 3 preordered at GR, and might do WarioWare at EB (both are 2007 titles) - neither even has Dragon Quest listed in their systems. Rayman looks interesting, but again I'll wait for reviews - and it seems like the kind of game that will drop to $20 pretty quickly. I'll probably get nearly every launch game *eventually* - hopefully a few for less than $10 at some point :D.

I have a feeling my kids will spend hours just with the Mii creator - they came up with some GREAT characters using the Joystiq web site Mii-emulator.

I think it'll be fun to play, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth $50. I will more than likely go with Excite Truck as my #2 game though, just because I think SMB and Elebits will drop in price faster.

Too bad Excite Truck doesn't come with a free virtual console download of Excite Bike.
Sigh, reading this thread made me order Excite Truck to go with Zelda, Red Steel, and Trauma Center.
Nintendo is almost perfect for fun racing games. The only bad one that I can think of is Kirby's Air Ride, and apparently the target audience of that game is retarded three year olds.

It takes one to know one
I know you are but what am I?
Sticks and stones.....

Ok Ok I never played this game acutally but excite truck is looking fun. I will wait for some reviews though.

Hey, my 3 and 6 year-olds like this game, but they like Mario Kart more :D. And they aren't anywhere close to retarded, so there...

Has there been any confirmation of Elebits not being a release title? EB has it listed for Dec 12th, but on IGN they still have it with a Nov 19th release date. I guess if that goes off the launch title list, then it will just be Zelda for me. I think Wii Sports and the Wii channels stuff will be enough for us till December, anyway. I will have a ton of DS and PS2 games to play then anyway :D.

Right now, at launch its Zelda and Red Steel for me. I will wait for reviews on Maddon 07, Super Monkey Ball, Call of Duty 3 and Rayman Raving Rabbids but I am dying to play all of them. I will probably pick them all up at some point after launch.

I heard that Elebits was delayed until the 12th of Decemeber.

Has anyone heard if Metal Slug will be a launch title or will it be comming out in January?

Well, I already have Zelda pre-ordered thanks to the Family Video deal....after that, I'm looking squarely at Raving Rabbits and Warioware. I'll probably go with only one or the other (as they are both minigame collections), but I'm leaning towards the Rabbits. That game just looks like silly good fun.

After that....Elebits looks good (my other half saw the box on the shelf at Gamestop and said jokingly "that looks like you're kind of game" sigh! cute can be fun dammit!). I may wait on the reviews for Elebits though...I worry it will be too repetitive.

I might look at Ultimate Alliance. I have a 360, so that would give better graphics...but the gameplay sounds fun on the Wii.

Beyond that...there is nothing too big out there since Wii Sports was the other title I really wanted. There are lots of titles on the horizon, but that's it for the Launch window period.

So far, other than Zelda, I've got Trauma Center and NFS:Carbon preordered. I'm thinking about moving my NFS:Carbon preorder over to Elebits, although I've got a few more games to trade in, so I might use that credit for Elebits. Haven't quite decided for sure yet.
